It was originaly planned to kill Nightwing at the end of Infinite Crisis but instead they went with Super Boy. To tell you the truth I'm glad that they did not kill Nightwing. Hes awsome. And I heard this when I went to a DC Nation thing at the Baltimore Comic Con.

Yeah, I heard the same thing on Wikipedia. I glad they didn't kill Nightwing, it will be easier to explain Superboy coming back from the dead than him.

yeah it would be. Besides Nightwing is like one of the coolest superheroes that has no powers. And so is Speedy (a.k.a Arsenal)

And so is Speedy (a.k.a Arsenal) Oh, for a second I thought you meant Mia, who is definatly cool, and the only HIV positive character in anything I can think of. As for killing Nightwing, I don't especially like him, but I wouldn't want him to die, I agree about it being easier to justify bringing Superboy back, despite the fact I like him much more than d**k (put much of that down to greatness of Tim/ Kon and Barbara/anyone that isn't d**k)

Killing Nightwing would just make Batman even more popular amongst the emos. Not that they'd know he died.
But lets face it the death of Nightwing would've meant more brooding from Batman, but then again Richard's death would've given leeway to Tim spendin more time with Kon.
Overall, Conner's death (if somebody had to die in IC) was the better since it really shook up the Teen Titans.

If you read the Infinite Crisis collection they explained why it would of been good story wise but it would have had too much of an affect on the DC universe to kill Nightwing. Nightwing has been around and is respected by many hero to the point of if he would died many characters would be changed drastically.

Enough people in the BatClan have been killed off/gotten rid of in the past few years if you ask me.
Plus, Nightwing is like...B-Listed. He's extremely popular with the fans. [Prolly 'cause he's a manslut...but heh.]

Though you never know, Robin cloning his best friend would be pretty cool, if they just make it really creepy. I'm pretty sure Batman would do the same thing if Superman were killed.
