I think the Daleks are cool, I mean, normally each doctor faces the Daleks once, maybe twice, but normally it would be at the start or end of their role I believe. The Doctor is facing them only 4 episodes apart because Dalek Sec/Sek (I almost typed Sex xd WEll, I did, but I corrected it)[/white] Escaped biggrin

Yeh. I knew the Daleks would be back. My parents didn't believe me. I'm like 'But he didn't get sucked into the void! He teleported away!'

The daleks are okay. I prefer them to the Cybermen (they scare me.)

I am more scared of Cybermen then Daleks. Daleks kill, Cybermen Convert, Cybermen are a possible future for humans, yikes!

Yeh, that's why they scare me. Also, they completely ruined 'The Lion Sleeps Tonight' for me. I can't listen to it anymore without thinking of them.

I would like to see the original appearance of the cyberman. Which one was it? Tomb of the Cybermen is one I have heard of ...

I should look through that big book that I bought from Borders xd

The one I was talking about before, the one with the 9 doctors on the front (only 9, doesnt include tennant, has like four pages on McGann because of his little involvement and Eccleston has a few pages, a page for each episode)

Each of the previous doctors has each of their serials in the book biggrin From one to two pages or maybe three whee

RTD confirmed in the Production Notes column of DWM 377 that Episode 2, written by Gareth Roberts and directed by Charles Palmer, will be called The Shakespeare Code.

The first appearance of the Cybermen would have been William Haretnell's final serial The Tenth Planet, sadly though the final episode is missing from the BBC archives so if you wanted to watch it you would have to do so through a reconstruction (or possibly an animation if they continue on with what they did for The Invasion *crosses fingers*).
Tomb of the Cybermen though is a fantastic serial, it was my first Troughton serial and what got me to a Second Doctor fan in the first place, and thankfully we do have it in it's entirety.

Awesome.

I was actually having a discussion with my ICT Teacher about it xd Something about the Daleks shouldnt be in the next series - they shouldnt overuse them, since the older episodes only had them once or max twice per doctor, and how the cybermen were rarely used biggrin

The Family of Blood is based on Human Nature! Which is one of the best New Adventures novels out there...if you haven't read it, you should. It's an ebook on bbc.co.uk. There's a very heated discussion on Outpost Gallifrey about whether or not it's a good idea to make it a Tenth Doctor Episode--it was a Seventh Doctor book--I personally can't wait!
(And I have to wait longer than any of you...crukking broadcasting rights)
Regarding the Daleks, it's not Doctor Who without Daleks. They were the first old series villain I saw. Besides, there's all that lovely angst about the Time War that shows up whenever the Daleks are present.
Cybermen have their advantages, too, and Cyberwoman proves that some of them could have survived. But I like Daleks better.
I'm wary about the Shakespeare Code, because it's supposed to be the Doctor's first meeting with Shakespeare, but he's already met him! (He talks about it in City of Death) He helped write Hamlet, for Rassilon's sake!
Okay, that's my two cents. I'm going now.

They are the most original and classic monsters, and also have an act of comedy about them (whisks, plungers and the voice xd ) but the way that thedoctor thinks they are gone and after a long period of time they come back, it adds more shock to it, rather than "Well, I wonder what the daleks will do next season rolleyes )

I think it's because everyone knows the Daleks, so they think it's okay to turn it into 'Doctor Who and the Daleks.' Except its not, it just gets old.
