So, is it just me, or do all yall feel awkward at things like EFY, firesides, or young womens/mens? (If you're not LDS) I mean, I get invited, and I can't say no, so I go, and feel like an ODDBALL the whole time...but then, I am an oddball, so it works. gonk

DemigoddessHalfdemon Se Ga Takai Why do you feel that you can't say no? Are they holding a gun to your head? No no! Its just that they are my good friends, and sometimes I can come up with excuses, but I can't just be like "SCREW YOUR CHURCH!" I love my friends too much! plus, they're just trying to help.

Tell them as much as you love them, you feel too pressured to go with them, and you would prefer not to go with them very often.

Besides, you don't need to feel like saying "I don't feel like it" is an insult to their church, you've already gone the distance to try it out to see if you like it, you didn't, so you are not obligated to do any more.

He would know. I took him to church w/ me for a while, and he decided that while we are very nice crazy people, it's not for him.

Its true. But again, a very hard thing to do, because I am the only one of my friends not a member of the church. And my friends are the SERIOUS ones, who are constantly spreading the gospel, and always following the church recommendations. But I'll give it a try. Thanks for the advice!

Anytime, and I know how you feel. Out of all o fmy High School friends, only One did NOT go on a Mission. It can be alot of pressure sometimes, but standing up for yourself is very important, especially in your teens. There is no such thing as "Good" peer Pressure(not saying your friends are Guilty of such), the only good decisions you can make are the ones you've thought through yourself.

In a way, but not the way you'd wish for a friend, I guess. hmm. What a predicament. We non-members are getting quite badly treated. haha. Not really, but we can act like we're picked on! rolleyes
