Well, this is actually well-known by most people already ... or it should be. Starting with the next new episode (January 4th in the US and Canada) Grissom will be leaving Vegas for a while to teach at a instituition. (Forget which one)
So ... it's not exactly the show that he is leaving, William Petersen is just taking a little time off. He will return though ... so don't panic.

I read in the imdb that william petersen is going to come back he's leaving for a few episodes but that the one who might leave would be jorja fox

I'm glad he won't be leaving permanently because I really like Grissom. Any reason why Jorja Fox might be leaving?

I don't think Jorja would leave the show. I certainly hope she doesn't.

I heard that Jorja might leave to start up a new season of CSI. They have been thinking about it for a while.
I heard rumor that it was going to be in SAn Fracisco or Seattle but if she leaves she will become the lead on the new show

Why does everyone say a new season?
If a new CSI were to start in a different location ... it would be a new series. But I don't think that this particular 'tale' is true.

I so saw watched todays episode and am glad that Grissom is only going on a four week sabbatical (sp?).
They were talking on the radio this morning like he was leaving for good,a dn talking about this being the end of CSI... I was driving, but I so wanted to call in and tell them to get their facts straight...

It makes me sad that Grissom is going to be leaving for a couple of episodes, but I like many other people, are very glad he will be coming back.
Also, If Grissom left the show for good, I think they would leave many watchers.

I know! He can't! the actor is just going to be on brodway. He'll be back. He won't find the package till he gets back though. I MUST know what happens

But then again, I read in a paper about an interview with Anthony Zuiker, and he said that he's not gonna make any more CSI spin offs.

two spin offs is enough, in my opinion new york isn't up to par, and don't worry grissom won't be leaving for good
