Iferui: The Capitol of Hokkan, Iferui is more well known for it's seers than it's politics, though there have been speculation that they occasionally cross over. It has grown larger over the years, though some of the older streets have been washed out due to the melting snow. So, new bridges and canals have been built throughout. One could speculate that it is much like the Venice of Ancient China, particularly since small boat is a rather common way to get around.

Zhang walked down the avenue, enjoying the fine day. His white hair was pulled back into a pony tail, his light blue eyes taking in the surroundings. He was on a buisness venture in the Capital, to help his mother and sister with the ranching they did in northern Hokkan. His soft, white clothes were emaculate and neat, and the boy had a soft smile on his face. Life seemed good, at least for now, and it was always his way to enjoy one day at a time. He had learned that when his father was killed, so he strove to take care of his family, enjoy his life and be kind to people and animals.

Slumped over on the ground, a raven haired teenage girl blinked a few times, her hand covering her eyes momentarily, allowing her fingers to then slip down her cheek. Her eyes opened up, blinking a few times, taking in the difference in scenery. Her head turned to the left, then to the right, wondering how she wound up here... Wherever here is, anyways... Etsuko pushed herself up from the ground, straightening her skirt as she stood up. Looking rather lost, and confused, she turned a bit, beginning to walk along, wondering how she managed to land here.
I remember being in the library... And opening that book... What happened? Where's everyone else? She stopped mid-step, her gray eyes drifting to the ground, her arms crossing in front of her, hugging herself tightly. Etsuko looked rather green, feeling a little ill. She felt confused, and unsure of what was going on, and all she could really do was worry... Maybe if I find out where I am, then I can get back to the library? But this doesn't even look like anywhere in Tokyo...
Letting out several panicked breaths, she took one big breath, trying to calm herself down. Pull yourself together, Etsuko. You'll find everyone... Just figure out where you are, first.

Zhang hadn't even seen the girl, just the silver light that flashed about a hundred feet in front of him... his left arm started to itch, like it did when his symbol appeared. He clutched his sleeve, making sure that no one could see the glowing mark, and quickly hurried forward. His white hair was hanging in his eyes a bit, he knew he needed to get it cut when it did this, but he tried not to be concerned with it. When he made it, he saw a girl in strange clothing, looking a bit sick... "Are you alright Miss?"

Nearly jumping from her skin as she was approached, the teen looked over to the white haired boy, gulping a little bit. Etsuko was fairly relieved to see that he at least looked kind, though she was very much on edge. Shaking her head a bit, she wasn't quite sure what to say at the moment. She bit down on her lip, still wondering how she managed to get wherever she was. Finally coming to a decision, she figured she could at least work up the courage to ask where she was.
“... Uh... I think I'm a little lost...” She started, softly. “Where am I? I was just with my friends... now I'm here...” It took Etsuko a few moments to spurt out all her words, but she managed a small, nervous smile after she finished speaking.

"I see, then I am glad to help... you are in Iferui, the capital of Hokkan. You are dressed rather strangely, are you from another province? Perhaps I can help you find your friends." Zhang didn't, and wasn't, going to mention the silver light he'd seen, nor the itching and activation of his mark... he couldn't be taken away from his mother and sister for long, he had to take care of them and couldn't go on the fabled journey he was told about when he was little... it was better just to help her get back...

Iferui? Hokkan? That's not right... I swear I've heard it before... Wrinkling her nose, Etsuko shook her head a little bit. It didn't make any sense to her, not at all. Her eyes shut for a moment, her hand moving to her forehead giving a gentle rub to try to calm herself. How did I wind up here? I must have fallen asleep... Hmh, I wonder... Her eyes opened once more, allowing the hand that had been rubbing her forehead to move to her opposite wrist. I shouldn't feel this...
She pinched her own skin, and her eye bugged momentarily. “Ow! Ugh...” She shook her wrist for a moment, finding it rather odd that she felt that. This can't be real... I was just in the library! Sighing, Etsuko looked back to the white haired boy, shaking her head once more. “None of that sounds really familiar... I'm supposed to be in Tokyo. You know, Japan? We were all in the...” Her voice trailed off a little bit as she thought about the situation a little more.
We were all in the library, and there was that light... Maybe I was knocked unconscious? Who knows... She sighed a little, still unsure of what to make of the situation. I just need to figure out how to get back to the library, then I can go home from there...

Zhang raised an eyebrow, "I've never heard of Japan... is it a new city in one of the other countries? I'll halp you however I can, though I'm not sure what I can do..." He wondered if this was the girl from the legends, she was a bit odd. "I'm Zhang by the way... though most people call me Hikitsu... you can call me what you'd like..."

Etsuko raised an eyebrow when he asked her if Japan was a new city in another country. She was about ready to go off an explain that Japan itself was a country, but her nose wrinkled a little bit, since she figured it might be hard to explain. I wonder how I got into all this mess... Just from studying? What a pain... The young woman sighed, though, she was quite happy to have run into the young man, who she now knew his name. Smiling a bit, Etsuko nodded. “Hikitsu?Alright... Oh yeah! My name's Etsuko...”
Sighing a little bit, Etsuko was still looking rather worn out. She was worried about her friends, and where they could be. She wasn't sure why they had all been separated, as they had all been in the library together. “I'm not sure what will help... I'm not entirely sure how I got here in the first place...” We were just looking through that book we found...I don't know if I could actually believe that thing...

Chen-Shing, or Chen as he liked to call himself, was tired. He was beyond tired. He felt like he was DYING!! Of HUNGER!! He had been traveling for days without stopping, driven only be the idea of having one more decent meal. He walked through the town gates, feet dragging across the ground... He walked across a pathway, tongue lolling out of his mouth... He walked... into a stream. Immediately, he came to his senses and clambered out of the river. Now that he was a bit more aware of his surroundings, he looked around. "The capitol, eh?" He had never been to the place, yet the only thought he managed was Wonder where I could get some eats around here... Ignoring the fact that he was soaked through, he stumbled to his feet and began hunting for a food stand, or a cheap restaurant of any kind. On his way, he felt an itch on his back. As he reached back to scratch it, he noticed a woman of particular beauty. She was talking to some white-haired kid, and her manner of dress was kinda weird, but that didn't matter. A gleam shone in his eye as his mind was obviously drawn away from the thought of eating temporarily. He sauntered on over to the two of them and put on his best grin. "Hey there. You look lost. Want some help?" But the voice that left his mouth was not his own. The tones were correct, and it sounded just as he had intended it to sound (flirtatious) but it was in a higher pitch. Perhaps by a full octave. He, or... rather she grit her teeth a bit. Oops.

Zhang frowned a bit at the weird person that had just come up to them, and he stepped in front of the girl. Sure, he didn't want to get taken from his family, but he also didn't want that guy making lecherous advances toward a priestess. "I'm helping her, can't you see that... besides she doesn't need some lecher looking after her..."

After being approached by the odd cerulean haired man, Etsuko was quite relieved to see that Zhang had stepped in front of her. While she had only just met the white haired man, but she was more comfortable around him since he had at least been trying to help her first. This other man just seemed a little too odd in her mind. Though, what was even more odd was when the pitch of his voice changed to a much higher one. Raising an eyebrow, she turned back to look at him once more, only to see a woman where he had been standing was rather frightening for, especially since she was already unsure of where she was. While she had seen very effeminate men before, along with masculine women, what she had just witnessed was just plain creepy.
Etsuko quickly turned her back, tilting her head down. She heard Zhang speak up, letting out a small sigh of relief that he had already spoken. Etsuko wasn't even sure of what to say to the new person. Crossing her arms, Etsuko simply shook her head. “.... N-no thank you... um... mister? I already have some help, just like he said.”
Lifting her hands up to her face, she gently rubbed her eyes and cheeks once more, still unsure of her situation. Well, at least I ran into Zhang before this weird guy came along. Brushing some stray hairs away from her cheeks, she turned back, though she kept her eyes lowered and on Zhang's back so she wouldn't have to stare at the strange fellow.

Chen crouched over on the ground and held his, er... her head. "AUUUGGHHH..... WHY does this always HAPPEN to me?!" He looked up to the sky. "I didn't do anything wrong... not that I can remember anyway..." So he had kinda tuned out... It was one of his faults really. Attention span of a three-year-old.
But the word lecher made his ears perk up. He hopped to his feet and pointed an outraged finger at the fair haired guy in front of the girl. A finger that was his own, to be noted. He was a guy again. "I'm not lecherous!! What are you talking about?! I was just trying to help this girl who seemed to be in need of assistance!!

"Who so obviously already has someone watching over her, that isn't looking at her like a piece of meat!" Hikitsu glared fiercely at the other man, thinking he was really weird and not wanting the girl to get hurt, he placed himself between her and the man. He put his hand over his symbol to block the silver light that was probably shining through the thin fabric of his shirt... Great, just wat I need... I'm sorry I was born cursed father... but I promise to take care of mother my sister.... All he wanted to do was help Etsuko home....

Etsuko kept her head turned as the two males seemed to be getting rather defensive. She didn't quite get why a random stranger was being so insistent on helping her, and why Hikitsu was being rather protective of her, even though they had just met. Her eyes shut momentarily, wondering if she was being a burden on these two. If I am, perhaps I should just go and find my own way home...
Taking a few steps away from the pair, her eyes shifted over to Hikitsu, noting how he had quickly covered his arm. She had caught a glimpse of a small amount of the light, which only set in more confusion for the poor girl. “... Please, don't be so defensive. I'm sure you were only meaning to help.” She spoke, sounding rather meek, her hand slipping to the back of her neck. “... Can't you both help me? Maybe it would be easier that way...” While she wasn't sure of the newer, odd fellow, she felt a little more comfortable around Hikitsu, and figured if the weird boy made any odd advances, she'd be alright. She just didn't want to see anyone getting into a fight for such silly reasons.
