Anyone read Serj's book of poetry 'Cool Gardens' ? Its pretty good. It has the basis for some of the songs he wrote later on. Of course, there are some shitty ones too like 'A Metaphor?' and 'I am My Woman' but over all its pretty damn good. I suggest that if you are younger, you do not let your parents find it because they will say some of it is 'Verbal Pornography'. You know how parents are... Anyways, my favorite poem in there was 'Frikk' which is now a song, makes a good poem. Blah. Anyone else read it?

I got it for Christmas! Mine has been signed by Serj. It took so long to get it...
I like "A Metaphor?" Maybe it's because I'm easily amused by poop. xD Burning poop...
Also, Serj has performed "Nations" during Lowlands when "Psycho" wasn't working ("Bad, bad guitar...") and "Jefferey, Are You Listening?" with "Freezing" makes the "Jefferey, Are You Listening" from the Axis of Justice Concert Series Volume 1 album.
And there are two poems, "PsychiatryPsychiatry" and "Orange Light" that combine to create the song "Suggestions," I think. There's another poem, I think, that may be a poem that Serj had a melody for. It's "12 Lives."

I LOVE THAT BOOK!! it took forever to get! it was supposed to be shipped to me, but their computer said i never paid which i did, so they never sent it, so i had to fax my repciet and a bunch of fun stuff...but after a long time I GOT IT!! and im questing for the signed copy...ill spend the extra money for it...i read it in about an hour, its not hard to read at all, and it was super amazing!!
my favorite line:

its just sooo beautiful!! all the poems are excellent!

OMG i loved that book!! (heehee i borrowed Heather's) i really liked all of them...they each had their own message in different ways. his poetry inspired my own little poetry writing streak...thing...
It was a great book...he should definitely publish more poetry!
