IN MY BAND USUALLY THE TRUMPETS ARE THE WORST! WHEN THE WHOLE BAND IS PLAYING, YOU CAN TELL WHICH SECTION MESSES UP! IN YOUR WHICH SECTION IS THE WORST?

Ours is the horns... I mean, they are great players and all, but we have tuning issues...eh, but they are not TERRIBLE...

Alto saxophones and [I hate to admit this but...] clarinets.
The alto sax players get yelled at quite often. And when they aren't, the clarinets are. No one can seem to take the time to look at the key signature before we start, so they always play wrong notes. It drives me nuts! I try to tell them to pay attention but they continually goof off. Gah. Plus, barely anyone in our section plays very well, so our BD set up the chairs so that the four best players were spread throughout the section to help on the parts. I should be second chair. Instead, I'm in fifth helping on second part.

my band is the horns only cause there's only one guy and he just swticed to horn this year from trumpet and he wasn't that good of a trumpet player so you can imagin. He's working on it though.

Trumpets. Definitely. Actually, I think the flutes might be just as bad, but you can't hear them as much. whee

i have to say that the trumpets and percussion sections are the worst. their both so loud...its hard not to notice them, especially when the percussionists start speeding things up.

Baritones. There are three of them, one is really good, another can't really read music and refuses to play loudly, and the third is just a bad player. But now that I think, maybe my section might surpass them in bad-playing-ness (Horns). We have two, and I just started playing and have no clue how to tune (or even care for my instrument...) and my friend has a hard time with fingering, reading, and all that jazz.

Clarinets. I'm in the 10th grade band [Our high school is grades 10-12, with 3 bands. The 10th, Symphonic for upperclassmen who aren't good enough for concert and won't quit, and concert which is for the best of the best.] because they refused to move any altos up because of over-crowding in the other bands. [ stare ] Our better clarinets in the grade are in the upper bands. Our firsts are kind of weak [although there was a reseating, sofinally the first chair is a person that can play. The seconds are mediocre, but the thirds suck. They honestly cannot play at all. Weak. Very weak. I might have said percussionists, but we only have 4, so there's only so much they can do. I resent that oboe is grouped with clarinets-our oboe player is spectacular.

In our band it is the rumpets. it seems that they are never in tune and they always have bad tone quality and it really bothers me!

our flute and many woodwind sections are quite large so it is hard to keep precision through out the section...but other wise individuals are prepared
trumpets trumbones and all lower brass are not terrible but they could use some more practicing
Percussion...pretty damn good actually...rarely have issues except for when they start talking in the back of the room during rehersal...or when one skips sectional (damn you Remis!!)
Horns are not all that terrible but because there are limited in number they have not raised the bar and reached their expectation... if there were more of them to give more sound then i could not pick out a "bad" section in our band were just that damn amazing whee xd East Yeah Yeah!
