The toddler romped through the snow as fast as he could, being all bundled up in winter gear due to his intolerance for the cold. He seemed to be more of a walking pile of clothes instead of a small --- and noisy --- child at that moment, trying his hardest not to topple over as he continued down the snow-covered grass.

"Eeh's cooooold," Joliet slurred, voice muffled through the layers of clothing and scarves wrapped around him. The starfish child was obviously not built for cold weather, much to Kimiko's dismay.

"Have my scarf," the teen managed through gritted teeth, taking off her rather festive-looking scarf to add to the five scarves which were already wrapped around the child's neck. She was stripped down to a thin sweater and a cap at that point in time, arms wrapped around herself in a futile attempt to keep warm as she followed the toddler through the snow.

"Cold my a**," Kimiko grumbled, rubbing her nose to fight the numbing effects of frostbite as Joliet managed his way out of the grass and onto the cleared path, making headway towards the fountain at the center of the park.

"Cowwllllld," Joliet whined, managing to move his arms slightly in a sort of half-wave. "Eet's cowwllllld."

He waddled over to Medusa slowly, bright eyes peering out from under his five hats in great curiosity.

"You not cold?" the toddler asked, inspecting the jellyfish girl as he made circles around her.

"Hun, don't run off," Kimiko called, though made no attempt to chase after him. Instead she rubbed her arms grumpily, sitting down on a nearby bench and blowing hot air on her hands in an attempt to warm herself.

"J- Jho--" the toddler stumbled on the first syllable, finally managing to get it right after a few attempts. "Jho-lee-eht," he mumbled, grinning back at Medusa under his three fuzzy scarves.

"Muh-dusah," Joliet returned, to be sure he had it right. "Why not cold?"

He was curious! Everyone else that he had seen in the park had been wearing huge fuzzy coats, and this girl wasn't wearing any!

"S' coooold," Joliet replied with a long whine, shuffling slightly in place.

Seeing Medusa dump the pile of snow upon her head, the toddler gave a laugh of amusement, himself reaching down the best that he could to grab a small handful of snow and dropping it onto what part of his face was uncovered.

"COLD!" he shrieked, batting at his face furiously to wipe the snow off of his eyes. "Too cold! Don't like!"

Joliet thought about this for a moment before finally replying. "Don't know," he admitted truthfully, "looked fun." It was a stupid reason, but it was the truth.

He swung his arms about in an effort to stay warm, though it just caused him to lose balance and topple back into the snow. The boy shrieked as he rolled around, unable to get up from the great mass of clothes that was stuck upon him.

Joliet lifted his head slightly so that he could see what Medusa was doing. He let out another loud shriek as he saw the white, powery stuff being piled on top of him, waving his arms about madly as he attempted to shake it off. His efforts were in vain, however, and sooner or later the boy became tired from both wriggling around so much and the weight of the jackets and the added snow on top of him.

He let himself settle into the snow below him, eyes droopy, having exhausted too much energy to even let out a loud scream.

Joliet mumbled something incoherant, his vision slightly blurry behind half-lidded eyes. He could feel his eyelids drooping down, and his consciousness slowly drifting away from him...

The starfish's head rolled to the side limply. To passerby, it would have seemed like he was dead, but he was just unconscious from the shock of the snow being piled upon him.

Kimiko, shuffling in her seat, realized that she could not see the little ball of clothing running around anymore. And where was that weird girl he was playing with before?

Getting up in her seat, the teen rubbed her forearms with a slight scowl on her face before starting off to find the toddler.

"Joliet?" she stuttered through clenched teeth, breath clearly visible in the cold air. "Where are you?"

She stepped over a snowman that some child had made on the ground, looking about for a moment and continuing on. She doubled back, one foot on the snowman in question, as she looked about for the starfish.

It took her a moment to realize who she was standing on. A startled look on her face, the teen immediately took her foot off of the boy and dragged him out from under the pile of snow, shaking him all over to dislodge the snow that had been trapped under his hats and layers of coats.

Scowl now noticeably deeper on her face, Kimi slung the boy over her shoulder to the best of her ability. Now where was that girl...?
