Den site to the three brothers of the four directional god wolves. The three managed to locate each other after being separated early in their pup-hood during a winter storm. The location of their sister, and the fourth directional wolf, is known by the tiger but feelings towards the treacherous female and her actions of abandoning her brothers for "lesser" wolves keeps them separated more so than the snowstorm ever did.
The four were the chosen ones of their former pack, each gifted with a quality that stands shoulders above that of other wolves. Genbu the wise, Seiryu the strong, Byakko the swift, and Suzaku the wild. Together they are destined to create the first pack governed not by a single alpha but a council of four. Each with their virtue and gifts, they are hoped to bring peace to the free lands and govern the other packs under them. Presently, the four have reached adolescence, and aside from the seemingly witless Byakko, the siblings are struggling with what the next step in their ambitions should be.

 Genbu ran to his sibling more eager to see him than he might ever admit to in words...his tail held high he sniffed him over nipping at him gleefuly. "Where the DEVIL have you been! don't you realise I was worried!? I thought the fish might have carried you away" He teases...he knows full well no fish could carry away a wolf...but he also knows of his brothers small war on fish for eatting "flutterbys" He pauses sniffing...senting on him the vaguely familar sent...though a few days old of a female..."Suzaku?! you found Suzaku!?! WHERE!"

Byakko saw Genbu running for him, his ears perked up instantly and for a moment he forgot that he was probibly gonna be in trouble. He broke into a faster run, even as Genbu was talking. His siblings knew him for one thing better than anything else- his collision tackles. The little wolf launched himself at his brother, plowing him to the ground and bombarding him with playful licks. Genbu's words were slowly catching up to him, he had worried them afterall. The small wolf backed up and plopped down to his haunches, his head and ears lowering in a truely guilty and apologetic expression to his brother. "I've been a bad wolf, Genbu...." He whimpered, slumping down a bit more so his nose almost touched the grass, the bright eyes looking up sadly to the tortose. "I'm not 'posed to go near Suzu... she's a bad wolf Seiryu said... she left for other wolfs...."
He thought for a moment, having not seen any other wolves safe for the pup... but was it a wolf? It was just grey and white, kind of ugly colors all by themselves, "She made me go back to her den with her, I don't remember going either, but I woked up next to her and I ran away because she's bad. She had another thing like us. It looked like a little wolf but it was ugly colors, it might have been a fox that thought it was a wolf. She had it in her mouth! Maybe she was gonna eat it. I didn't mean to, Genbu, don't tell Seiryu, I don't wanna be in trouble, I won't do it again."

"WAOOF!" Genbu rolls with the impact of his smaller brother.. "Seir!? you saw him too!?" He paues for a moment to let the fretting words of the smaller white wolf sink in...he tipped his head considering...his hear lowered almost paralel with his neck as he considers this.. "Don't worry....I won't tell...she left us then? shes joined with others? damn" He says his ears flattening.. "We'll do with what we can though....we have to find Seiryuu...we will make a pack of this"

"Seiryu isn't far from here... but I'm tired, Genbu...", the little white wolf flopped down on his side, still panting from his run. The wolf was always running, ever since he learned how to use his paws he'd pushed himself every day to go farther faster. It had always been a common source of panic for his family- his siblings especially. If something caught the wolf's attention he'd chaise it blankly, giving no mind to how far he went or in what direction, and would get lost very easily. He remembered this place though, remembered how to get back here from the freelands where he'd found his sister.
"Seiryu was mad. Suza went to be with other wolfs. I saw one- it looked like a wolf but wasn't pretty. It was all grey like rainy skies. I don't like rainey skies, makes the ground all muddy and yuck. My paws get stuck and then the mud hardens and I have to get in the river to make it go away. How come the ground gets all sticky anyway, Genbu? It's gross, makes a weird sound too...." He whimpered, rolling to his back to rest his paws along his chest, "Seiryu said she was bad, a bad trator wolf."
