Who: Keme & Relm (and probably a few random "family" members)
When: Christmas Day, 2006. Starting after breakfast, before lunch.
What: Time alone to exchange Christmas presents.
Where: Leaving Trel & co.'s House in Bass'ken Woods & heading to Keme's Tree near the Audio Shop
The pictomancer was a little nervous, as any who knew her well could probably figure out though she tried to walk as if she was not. She was also happy almost to the point of giddiness that seemed so in contrast to the nervousness that it could be confusing to an observer. Breakfast had gone well, her family apparently full of the goodwill of the season & not in too teasing of a mood. Plus, there had been the expectant mother-cat, Azure, to fawn over & the proud papa to contend with. It gave her the chance to simply enjoy the company of her special guest while enjoying the company of her large family.
Relm turned her face to smile lovingly at the male she was walking hand in hand with. If anyone would have told her that life would bring her here she would not have believed them. It was nothing like she expected or planned & yet somehow it was everything she had ever really wanted. Fingers warm in fur-lined gloves squeezed Keme's hand gently.

Keme smiled down warmly at the female who he was walking with, squeezing her hand gently with his own glove covered hand, his tail wagging slowly behind. Breakfast turned out alot better then he thought it would, but he was very glad he was able to persuade Moochi to let him bring Azure along so Peruns family could dote on her for a while and the small female enjoyed all the attention.
Even though there wasn't much teasing going on around there, he couldn't help but chuckle over Rikku and Naruto plus Tidus and Yuna somehow always finding their way under a sprig of mistletoe...well, it mainly seemed like Tidus and Naruto kept guiding their girlfriends to the mistletoe so they would have a legitimate reason to kiss.
He gulped down a lump of nervousness, hoping that Relm would really like his gift, but mainly it was because he never gave a gift before and with him and Relm actually together, he just hoped he didn't let her down. He was glad when he started to recognize the area, meaning they were close to his tree.

Seeing Keme was also nervous she felt a little better about her own fretting. At the same time she wanted to console him; tell him it would be all right.
It had been a little hard, watching the other audio couples play with the mistletoe. Relm had been sorely tempted. But she wanted any kiss she shared with Keme to be because they wanted it... not just a game. Or so she told herself. That, or they were too young in their love to play like that. Her hand went to her pocket, seeking comfort.
Relm was glad for the magic of her pocket, not having to carry the present she had gotten for Keme in her hand. She bit her lip, hoping he would like it... that he would not think it was silly. Except for birthdays, Relm had never given a gift before. The ones for her family sh ehad left for them in their rooms, but Keme's... Keme's she wanted to give in person. As herself. Hence why she wore fur linings in her usual clothes instead of switching to her WhiteMage Sphere. The WhiteMage just was not her!
As they neared the tree her steps slowed ever so slightly. How would they do this? Who would go first? Should she kiss him now or when she gave him his present? Maybe not until afterward? Relm blushed, noticing where her thoughts had looped. She looked up at the tall male. "Ke-eme?"

Keme himself didn't mind the fact they didn't kiss under the mistletoe, either talking with another pet or making sure everyone didn't crowd around Azure too much, a little nervous Perun would probably fly off the handles, especially since it seemed Azure seemed more and more moody as the days passed, which seemed very weird to everyone that knew her.
Shaking his head of those thoughts, he looks down at Relm when she says his name and he stops halfway into the clearing, smiling softly, "Yes, Relm? Everything ok?" he asks, some concern showing through his eyes.

Her eyes sparkled as she smiled. Moving her hand from her pocket Relm lightly ran a gloved finger over his lips. Her heart beat wildly in her chest, & she felt a trifle guilty for the making Keme feel concerned. "Everything's wonderful." She said at last. "Thank you for being there, Keme."

Keme blushes lightly when she touchs his lips and he smiles lovingly as he kisses her fingertips, gently taking her hand in his as he leans down and kisses her cheek, "No, thank you Relm, for letting me spend today with your family and you. It means alot to me that you wanted me to be a part of it." he says softly.

She was not sure whether to be thankful or disappointed that she was wearing gloves that kept Keme's lips from her fingertips. It was all she could do not to tilt her face into the kiss on her cheek. "Of course I want you to be a part of it." Relm said just as softly, her eyes bright with love. "Everything is better with you around. I... find I want to be with you, whenever possible."

[He smiles softly as he leads the way toward the tree, where his gift was tucked away in a little hole he found, "Well, you know you can be with me whenever you want Relm." he says softly, stopping before the tree.

Letting him lead she tilts her head slightly & quirks a brow at his words. "Whenever?"
Relm did not want to voice it, but she missed sleeping beside him. She missed the comforting warmth of his tall body beside hers. It almost was not fair, those two nights -sleeping with Keme. One in friendship, one in joined illness. She wanted that again. Innocently enough. But she feared asking for it, knowing what happened -obliquely of course- when Rikku got her wish to sleep with her paramour. She was not ready for that yet herself, but she did not wish to lead Keme on or give him the wrong impression. So she would not bring it up.

He smiles and nods, "Yep, whenever! Now, for your present!" he says, letting her hand go and going over to the secret little nook, grabbing the small, wrapped box. It is rectangular in shape, with a red ribbon topping it off. He smiles nervously and holds it out for her, "Merry Christmas Relm..." he says softly.

With trembling hands she touched her hands to his to accept the beautifully wrapped box. Relm paused, smiling up at him. "Merry Christmas, Keme." She was tempted to give him his present at the same time but decided at the last moment she wanted to be able to focus on seeing his reaction. Since Keme had taken the initiative... Relm grinned even more at that, liking when he took charge of a moment. She breathed softly. "It's beautiful."
A slight giggle escaped her, realizing how silly she must sound. Gingerly Relm pulled the ribbon lose, slipping a finger under the folded corner of the paper to slide the box inside out & into her hand. Placing her hands to open the box Relm stopped, an impish smile on her face. Raising on her toes she kissed Keme on the mouth light as the touch of a feather. Only after her heals touched the ground did Relm open the box. Light green eyes widened and her mouth opened in a silent 'oh!' of wonder.

Keme wringed his hands nervously when she took the gift and he chuckled to himself when she called it beautiful, wondering how she would react to what was actually inside. He kissed her back when she leaned up and he leaned down just so she wasn't straining herself to reach him.
He stood still when she finally opened the box, revealing a beautiful, silver bracelet with a few charms adorning it, two charms looking like tiny paint brushs, and the last two looking like artbooks. A few diamonds adorn the silver, sparkling in the light that catchs them.
He lets out a breath, blushing nervously as he rubs the back of his neck, "I...um....I...had it made for you....i-if you don't really like it, I can take it back and we can find you something better!" he says, his voice shaking, scared she might not really like his gift at all.

For a few moments more, Relm was dumbstruck. Ever so daintily she lifted the sparkling bracelet from the box, watching it catch the light. Relm would not later recall putting box & wrappings into her pocket, though looking back she would swear she must have. Holding the bracelet with one hand she touched each charm with a finger, taking in the incredible detail.
Happy tears sparkled in her eyes when she finally looked up at Keme once more. "Oh, Keme. It's beautiful. I've never... I've never had anything like it."
Relm fiddled with trying to get the bracelet on. "You had it made? Oh, Keme." Her eyes lit up with gratitude. "Thank you. I love it."
Then she grinned innocently at him, her head tilting as she lifted up wrist & bracelet just under her chin. "Would you help me get it on?"

Keme watched her with increasing nervousness, especially when she started to cry. He was about to say he could take it back and get her something better when she started thanking him. He breaths out a sigh of relief and he reachs down, taking the bracelet gently and puts it on her wrist, smiling lovingly, "I'm glad you like it Relm, and it looks beautiful on you."

Twisting her wrist a couple times to watch the diamonds catch the light Relm smiled before wrapping her arms around the tall male's neck & pulling herself up to kiss him soundly. "I love it, Hummer. There's only one thing missing..." Relm murmured teasingly, wondering if Keme would figure out what was missing. Something Relm herself had not known was needed for her to feel whole. Something that even know made Relm smile with happiness as she leaned against him.
