For the longest time I thought I was a lesbian growing up, but then I got a crush on a boy when I was 15 & now I know i'm for sure not a lesbian. I've had sexual experiences with both chicks & dudes & I like both. But many women out there who have had sexual experiences with other women are striaght but they were just "testing." I'm attracted to both girls & guys i've been asked out by both, i've only dated a guy though but I like both. I still want to marry a man because I want kids.
So my question is, am I open-minded or am I bisexual? Apparantly there is a difference & i'm not sure if there is. Please help.

I would say that you are bisexual. I do not think there is any such thing as "testing" or being "bicurious." I think if one is attracted to both sexes enough to even wonder and experiment with them, I would say they are bisexual. I think a lot of people think bisexual means you are 50/50, 50% attracted to men, 50% attracted to women. Then people think, "Well, I like men mostly, I just like to fool around with women a little, so I must not be bi." I don't think people realize that they don't have to be 50/50. They can be 60/40, or 70/30, or even 90/10. I dated a guy who said he was bisexual. He said he was 70% attracted to women, 30% attracted to men. He said he was not attracted to men enough to date one, but he certainly would fool around with one and watch gay porn. I consider myself straight. I have always been attracted to men. I have never had a crush on a girl. I have never kissed a girl or done anything else with a girl. I have never wondered what it would be like. I have never wanted to experiment with a girl. I consider myself open minded. I am open about sexuality in that I have no problem with people being straight, bisexual, gay, or undecided. Being open minded about all of that stuff does not change my preferences, however. I like men, and that's just the way it is. A lot of girls say, "Well, I had to fool around with a girl so that I would know for sure if I was bisexual or not." I don't buy into that theory. I always tell people who say that that I can tell if I am attracted to someone before I make out with them. If you point out a guy walking down the street and say, "Are you attracted to him?" I am not going to say, "Geez, I'm not really sure....Let me go kiss him, then I'll let you know." Anyway, if you want to label yourself, go for it. Just be aware that you don't really have to label yourself if you don't want to or don't think you are ready to.

Mrs.BonJovi I have no problem with labeling myself. Thank you for your advice & your theories. It helped me to realize for sure that I am bisexual! & i'm not ashamed of it either! 3nodding Thank you once again! heart *hugs* Good for you; that's good to hear. 3nodding Of course, those were just my views on the subject; other people may have different opinions. Sometimes it's easier to sort through your thoughts when you just talk to people about them. Either way, good luck to you. 4laugh
