Hojo stared at the frosted water in front of him, ears flattened against his head; his legs were tucked under him, his head hung low as he gazed at the crystalline surface. For once, he was thankful for the cloth wrapped over his body; it was particularly cold, he found, and it helped to keep at least a bit of his warmth still in his body. Winter was always terrible like this... it frosted his body and killed the plants, made the world wither and creatures go into hiding. Not that he minded so much - it was interesting to see everything so... dead.
But he didn't like the uncomfortable feeling in his own flesh - and there was so much less to learn from and study during this season. Unless, of course, he wanted to study the bipeds, but that wasn't something he generally looked forward to. They were strange, unusual, worth looking over... and yet, they had ropes and fences and halters and to be perfectly honest, Hojo wasn't the kind to allow himself to be bound in such a manner.
Thus he avoided them as much as possible, no matter how fascinating they might be. Yet this left him staring at frozen water, lying on frozen ground, with nothing to do and nothing to learn about. It was very upsetting.

Gwee flew overhead, soaring through the skies as she watched a stallion down below. The stallion was not like one she had ever seen before, he seemed to be wearing a clothy material of sorts, similar to what a two-legger would wear. Perhaps this stallion was associated with two-leggers?
Gwee snarled at the thought angrily. If this stallion was indeed associated with two-leggers, they needed to be taught a lesson. Gwee flew down to the stallion, landing on the ground before him quickly.
"Hello," she said, her voice showing great disapproval. "I was flying overhead and couldn't help but noticing the strange material you wrap your body with. Are you one of them? Are you amongst the two-leggers?"

One moment, Hojo was alone in his thoughts, and the next, there was the sound of someone speaking, and the scent of another catching his nose, though there was something... different about it. He realised what it was as soon as he tilted his head to look. Ears flicked up curiously, then soon flattened as he snorted at the rude female derisively, shaking his head as he pushed himself to a stand. No use lying down around such hostile looking company.
"One of them? Fufufu..." He laughed, a sickly, wicked sort of laugh - the kind that gave normal soquili chills; he lifted his head afterwards, cutting his eyes towards her. "Who are you to ask me such things? I am not one of them; they are disgusting, filthy, wretched things. My body is wrapped like this for warmth and protection - I do not even remember how I came into possession of it, but it was not by them, my dear."
His voice lilted and fell in an uneven manner; deep one moment, then strained and high the next, as one who is not quite assured of his own mind. It was not extreme - there were not octaves of difference, but it was enough to make him sound... unstable, at the least.
"And what of you? Who are you, flying down from the sky - flying! Haha... fuu... hmm?"

Gwee raised an eyebrow at this strange stallion. His talking seemed so strange. Was he laughing? It didn't seem like a laugh, it seemed odd and peculiar to Gwee. Gwee rolled her eyes.
"Who do you think you are, asking me question about myself?" asked Gwee. "You do not deserve to know who I am, it isn't fun that way? What is fun, you may ask? Torture. Torture is what is fun, and you, you inferior wreck, are beginning to make yourself my next subject."
Gwee smiled wickedly at the stallion. The cloth look flammable. Gwee's grin grew wider.
