Koin, once again wandering with the wind, padded away from his family. He shook the sand from his white coat before starting to pad off again.

He didn't know where he was going, nor did he care. He was just following the wind as he always did.

The sun was slowly starting to go down and the wind was starting to pick up lightly. It told him where to go.

The wind pushed him further towards an unknown destination. He'd find his way back to his family anyhow. The wind calmed to a light breeze, causing the wild dog to stop. He sat and looked around at the odd destination.

I don't know why we have to go back! Barazahi thought as she wandered off on her own even further. She simply had to have a break from her worry-wart father and delicate mother. She loved them dearly, but she needed to get away for a while. She was content with the family being away from their pride; there was nothing waiting for them when they got back. She didn't understand why they hadn't crowned her mother the queen; she bore all of the royal markings!

"Whatever," she said moodily, moving her thoughts on. Getting mad about it would only ruin her complexion. She paused as she saw a figure on the horizon, but continued on anyway. Whatever it was would help to pass the time.

Koin's ears flicked at the sound of the soft padding and a voice. His ears were sensitive to sound, and even more so since he needed his sences sharper as a wanderer.

He looked towards the sound and used his nose to pick up a scent. "Hmmm..." A soft hum like sound emited from him in curousity.

Koin didn't move like any other creature would, he just awaited this creatures arrival. Maybe this creature is why the wind had sent him there.

Barazahi walked gently up to the wild dog. She wasn't necessarily as wary of outsiders as she should be, but she still knew what trouble they could cause. She knew it from her pride's history. Still, he would create a way to pass the time.

"Hello," Barazahi said, "My name's Barazahi, but you may call me Raza, if you please." She awaited the stranger's response.

"Name's Koin," The white and blood colored wild dog said. "Just Koin," He said. He didn't have a nickname since his name was short enough.

"What's a Lioness like yourself doing out here at this time?" he asked. His red colored eyes twinkled as a light wind brushed passed him, and stopped.

The wind. Such a calming thing. Nevermind that though. Koin stood and took a step towards the blue colored lioness.

"Getting away from my family for a short bit. We've been travelling for days, you see, and I just want a break. They elevate a situation sometimes, and the stress is just murder for my complexion," Raza said.

The stranger wouldn't need to know where they were headed, certainly not. It would be better if he never knew. She just smiled her charming smile and hoped he wouldn't ask.

"Ah, I see, I see," Koin commented. "Seem's a lot of creatures have been wandering of late."

Koin circled around the lioness once before sitting agian. Respecting her privacy, he nodded.

"Wanderering isn't so stressful," Koin said calmly. "But it depeds, I suppose... I've never really traveled with anyone but myself, and a bit with my girl."

Barazahi was happy that Koin decided not to question further. She didn't really want to go back home, but it did make her a bit excited. She thought of all of the treatments she'd get, all good, since her pride thought their family was dead.

The wild dog caught her attention again. "Your girl?" Raza asked. How cute! she thought, either a pup or a mate, and each case was cute.

"Yeah. My mate," he answered. Though, he did have many childre. Nine from the same litter.
He chuckled lightly. "I haven't traveled with any of my children," he said with a light smile.

"So... you say you're traveling with your family. That's quite interesting. I've only seen a few family's travel together. The wanderer's I know usually travel alone..." Koin said, trying not to dig into anyone's past, if they didn't want him to.

"Yeah, we're headed somewhere," Raza admitted. She wondered what the king of her pride would think of her talking to a wild dog... Didn't matter.

"I've seen lots of loners too. More often than families anyways. I guess if you're in a group, you stay put for the most part. But it's time for us to move on, so we're moving," Raza said with a smile. Even though it's not good on my paws, Raza thought.

Koin nodded. "It's a bit easier, in my opinion, to travel alone," He said. He tilted his head for a second.

"Traveling can be fun though. You can meet new creatures and see new places," He said with a slight nod. Well, that's what he throught anyways. He'd been traveling for as long as he could remember.

Raza nodded. Yes, travelling alone would be a significant amount easier than travelling as she had been. To be able to meander about on your own... not a care in the world! What a life!

A life with no purpose, really, Raza thought to herself. No real... purpose!

Raza always hated having a feeling of purposelessness. I suppose your purpose could be to find new things, but... Simply being without meaning? Sounds like a leaf in the wind.

"Are you headed somewhere in particular?" Raza asked, trying to learn more about the male. It was a question of curiousity, if he didn't feel like telling (like herself) he wouldn't have to.

"Actually," Koin said looking up. "I just came out here to get away from my pups. They are quite a pawful right now."

Koin gave a nervous chuckle. Maybe he shouldn't have left all the pups to the care of their mother. But he was out now, might as well enjoy himself.

"When I do travel, I tend to go where the wind guides me," Koin replied truthfully.

Raza understood completly. He was wandering for the same reason she was; a break from the family. Raza nodded slowly, with understanding, only she was escaping from parents and siblings, not cubs. Still, family.

Raza pondered his method of travel. She hadn't ever chased after the wind before... "Does that work well?" She couldn't help but ask. She hadn't ever thought of that before. It sounded like going where the gods led you, how could you go wrong?

"Well, it works fo me," Koin said with a slight nod. "I've found the ones I hold precious by following the wind..."

It was true. He found his best friend and his mate by following the wind.

Koin shook a bit of dust off of his fur. "Why are you out here?" he asked suddenly, hoping he didn't sound rude.
