I don't see how this is spam... confused
I like the second game the best! But my brother says Suikoden 1 is better because it's the original.

What on earth is that map?
Anyway, I liked 2. I didn't really like how the game's degenerated into an 'innovation franchise' so soon. I think I gave up after like half an hour into 5.

I liked Suikoden II best too for various reasons which I'll state down here: 1) It had a lot of my favourite Suikoden characters. 2) It was 2D. 3) I loved the story.
So that's pretty much why I liked it best. I really want to see another 2D Suikoden but I doubt I'll see one unless it's a cute little spinoff type game. Even then...>< Probably not.

That was probably a wise choice on your part. I had so much faith in SV. I really did. And then it sucked a**. sad

Suikoden 5 was not nearly as bad as you yell and scream that it is. And anyone who gave up half an hour into S5 needs to learn how to enjoy a well-written and developed story. I should look through your old posts , Nolette, and see if I can find any instance of you saying that you enjoy story over other parts of games. Then I will ceaselessly mock you. And the funny thing is that Suikoden 5 doesn't take any longer to get set up than any of the other Suikoden games. There's just like, one less dungeon than normal.

You're right. Truly. I enjoyed it very much on my first plathrough. Most games take a few hours to get into anyway so...
I think the main probelm for me is that I can't... get throught my second playthrough. I don't know why. I can't explain it. But I don't like it.
I think it's because I had such high hopes for this game... I was so excited. But to me, it seemed that it wasn't the best it could be. I'm not saying it was a bad game, it was quite good, it just didn't live up to my abnormally high expectations.
Which could be my own fault.
And besides I'm weird thinking that IV is on par with II.

You know..I swear I thought I posted something after Lily's post awhile ago..maybe I'm going senile.
Anyways, I liked SV too, but I couldn't identify with the prince as much as I could for Riou (god I wish I had his hips...and his best friend, cause you KNOW they be gettin' it on during those long nights. blaugh ) I can understand losing a best friend and losing your home and that stuff, ya know? But I can't see myself a prince of a country, though it has it's perks. (Imagine: Harem, Harem of sexy men)

You need to wipe the fangirl foam away razz I do enjoy a good story, however, I find it hard to even get into the story when I can't even find myself attached to the main character. He looked dopey, to be honest neutral and the more I looked at him the more I couldn't go through with the rest of the game. The gameplay itself was pretty painful with it's lousy camera, painfully long loading times (I could read the newspaper between screens) and blurry graphics (and I'm using a high def LCD screen) Somehow even the intro failed to wow me. Every intro up to 3 (even 4) had me feeling 'zomgYES SUIKOSUIKOSUIKO WOOO' but this time it was like '...wut?'
