Deep in the Tenshi Forest lies a mystical lake. Its crystal clear water is always icy cool to the touch, and not much wind passes through the trees so the surface is relatively smooth. On clear, still nights you can see the faeries come out to play on the lakes' surface. They flit back and forth, glowing like large fire flies, the water reflecting their light like a mirror. They say these faeries have special magic, and if you catch one, you'll get your wish granted. But that's only IF you can catch one. The lake itself is really deep. No one knows exactly how deep it is, mostly because no one has gone to the bottom. You can see all forms of creatures swimming and crawling under the surface. Rumor has it that a monster of some sorts lives in the dark depths of the lake. But that's just a rumor... Right?

Kathlyn had made her way though the trees to the lake, she looked around and smiled. It was beautiful. She walked up to the waters edge and brushed her hand against to cool water watching her hand make ripples in the calm water. Deep under the water creatures swam about, and Kathlyn could sense each of their movements; their small heart beats. She smiled sitting at the waters edge, this was a wonderful place to get some time to herself.

Seishou arrived at the watery edge and awaited Kathlyn's arrival. She danced around as the wind blew, creating a gorgeous illusion that she was floating above the ground.

Kathlyn made her way back to the lake with a smile. She loved this place; it was beautiful and calm. She felt the most at home here, it reminded her a lot of her home. When she'd run off into the forest, playing with the spirits as a child. Her brother and her playing hide-and-go seek with them. Sleeping in the trees...the forest held millions of good memories; although it also held darker ones. The last time she saw her family. The last time she'd seen anyone she'd known.

Seishou sensed Kathlyn drawing near. 'Hello Kathyln. I am glad you could spare time to break free from the tasks of school.' She slowed her movement and landed gracefully by the lapping water.

Kathlyn smiled, "I'm glad that you could take some time to speak with me. I miss all my childhood friends who lived in the forest by my village..." She smiled in the memory, "all my dear forest spirits who were always with me. Only, none of my friends looked like you..."

Seishou smiled sweetly and gave a small, light-hearted laugh. "And where are those spirits now? As you should well know that unless their forest is destroyed they freely travel this earth. Are they back in your home forest?" Her voice was gentle and caring.

Kathlyn frowned, "I'm not sure...the last time I saw them...was a bit rushed..." I sighed, "Their home might be detroyed...the last time I ever saw them was the day I was captured...people fled to the forest...the villiage was being burned to the ground." She frowned, her eyes filled with sadness, "They might have burned the forest to, to kill the surviors..."

Seishou's heart ached for Kathlyn. "I am terribly sorry to hear that. I am sure they are fine and have lived on despite the human waste. Now tell me, what all are your questions. I can tell there are more of them hidden inside you. I will help answer any that I can."

Kathlyn blinked away the memory as best she could and forced a smile, "what kind of spirit are you? why is it that you look so different from the other spirits I've met?" Kathlyn asked as her first question.

Seishou chuckled. She had expected that to be her first question. "I am an earth spirit born of the oceanic forest in the high north. My appearance is unusual due to my responsiblities and age. I was entrusted with the protection of any and all forests that I encountered. I am most likely aged far beyond the spirits you knew as a child. Were your spirits able to telekinectically connect with others or shift the earth?" She noticed great pain within Kathlyn and wanted more than anything to comfort her.

Kathlyn thought back, "Well...they never really moved the earth...Some of them would help grow plants, and one time they made a little hill for me to slide down when we were playing...but I don't know how they made it. So I'm not sure...Only one of the spirits ever spoke to me within my mind. He was a older tree spirit...but for the main part of my life the only times I heard communication through my thoughts was when I was with my dragon."

"Their powers were just developing is my belief. Now I have a question for you. What was the name of this forest? It may help." A wisened look crossed Seishou's face.

"My Village was called Terinso..." Kathlyn replied, "The forest was called KiKai, The Sea of Trees..." she smiled softly, "Do you know of that forest?"

Seishou closed her eyes and tried to connect with the earth. She could feel it breathing and contracting. Before her eyes, visions of different forests flashed, coming to a rest on the Kikai. "I have knowledge of that sea, yet I regret that I have not seen the forest before." 'I mustn't tell her that only a small wave of it remains.' Seishou's expression saddened, but quickly returned to its serenity so as to not give Kathlyn any clues about her treasured childhood playground.
