It had been a while since she'd last come out into the savannah. The last time she'd come had been... eventful, to say the least. There had been tears, worries and a promise. But that had been weeks ago. Jibanza shifted, her memories a blur.
Maybe she'd meet someone she knew, today. Maybe she'd meet that person. She'd come out to find them... she was ready to leave this place, and head for the Jungle, as promised.
But she couldn't catch his scent. Sure, there were others around the plains, but as for the person she was looking for... no sign. The little wild dog sulked, and kept searching.
Maybe she'd find him. She'd just have to keep looking.

Inyoni's search for the "white rain" that he kept seeing in his dreams had brought him here to this savannah. Admittedly he had been to a few savannah's in africa, but somehow this one seemed different to him.
He yawned as he gazed up at the darkening sky, watching the golden sky merge into the dark blue abyss before glancing around for any sign of other predators. He saw none nearby, luckily, save for the cream pup seeming to be searching for something.
Maybe she would understand what he was talking about. Padding over to her, he tilted his head inquisitively to the side.
"Excuse me, can you help me?" He asked, wondering if the pup would even talk to him at all. He had known others in the past to avoid him completely.

Jibanza's ears flicked as she heard someone approaching. The sound of dried grass under a pair of paws could be heard, though it was hardly audible, and the little wild dog needed to strain to pick it up.
"Is... that you?"
Hope filled her chest... and Jibanza found herself running forward, towards the source of the 'krrriiiks' and 'krrraaaks' that had alerted her to the prescense of another. Skidding, she crunched through the long grass, expecting to find who she was looking for at the other end...
"Excuse me, can you help me?"
Jibanza skidded to a halt, and looked up. A large, adult wild dog stood before her... and, at once, she felt a rush of disapointment. It wasn't him. The juvenile shook her head, and cleared her mind. She wasn't going to meet her friend today. But, it seemed that she could at least be some use to this passer-by.
"Ah... sure, sir," she said politely, meeting his gaze with her own purple eyes, "What kind of help are you looking for?"

"Sir".. She called me.. "Sir"...
The thought seemed to take over his sences for a few moments, a little confused by the idea. Still, shaking his head he snapped back to reality.
"Mm yea, sorry. This.. may sound strange to you... But I beg of you i'm serious..." He said, looking around. "I'm looking for um... "White rain"... It's like, normal rain, only it floats, and is white... I've only seen it in my dreams but I think that's where I truely belong, where the white rain falls. Have you seen it?" He asked slowly, looking a little uncertain at how the pup might react.

Jibanza's ears flicked, once more, as the stranger spoke. It was strange seeing someone out here... it seemed almost surreal. Here she was... expecting for someone, and she found someone else. Still, he was a handsome fella. An adult, someone who might have looked just like her Pa if he had still been around. Wrong colouring, sure, but she hadn't gazed on an older male wild dog in a long while, and now that she was, a blurred image of her father came to mind. He would have been older than the stranger, and a more earthy colour. Jibanza shook the memory out of her head... she hadn't thought of her father in moons.
Suddenly, she snapped back into reality as the blue stranger told her of something... something weird.
White rain?!
Jibanza tilted her head to one side, and raised one eyebrow in a rather confused manner. What was he talking about? Rain that was... white?
No, wait... she'd heard of something like that in stories her mother had told her, long ago. White, falling from the sky. It wasn't rain, but rather some kind of miracle dust, legendary.
"Hmmmm... I don't know if I can help you there, Mister!" she yipped, chewing on her lower lip thoughtfully, "But... I think my Mum told me stories of something like that. It's in cold places, though... not around the savannah. Far from here. Maybe that's the stuff you're looking around for? Maybe?"
She smiled, and hoped that she had, somehow, helped.
"Why are looking for something like that, anyway?" she asked, and then added, "If I'm thinking of the same thing that you're thinking of, that is."
She'd always thought of the white, falling cold stuff as myth. Maybe it was real, though... or maybe this stranger was talking about something else.

"Your mom..? Really?" He asked, looking surprized to have even this snipit of information. "Cold.. places... where is it cold, do you know??" He seemed desprate to know, and also became rather excited.
It then occured to him that she then asked a question, which had become lost in his excitment of finding a kind've clue to his search. "Why? Because it's how my pack worked.. we'd follow our dreams to our destinies. A bit like Seers, though many of us are not blessed with the gene, though it occurs a lot in the pack. So our dreams are of great importance to us. I need to find the meaning behind my white rain or I'll never live comfortably."
