I'm going to...go ahead and be the first to complain about it. Zae said she was going to have some form of application process, which means she was probably going to have something in mind. Now conciously or not any nomination process is nevertheless, a popularity contest. Which is why jocks with CGPAs of 1.8 get to be student body president for life. There are people who don't pipe up about what they think, but are in the guild and watch what's going on, they probaby wouldn't be nominated in this system, not that I'm saying the nomination process doesn't work, but simply that I think Zae was probably going to have an independent, anonymous, personal application process. Plus this could lead to "Why'd you pick Person A? Am I not good enough? *Whine whine*"

Agreed on all counts. Additionally, DeGei, you had no right to do this without consulting with Zae first. As much as I disagree with her coming in here and taking control without getting a real sense of what was actually happening, she IS in control and you're tromping all over that. You got snapped at? Big surprise there. As I recall this isn't the first time you've done something similar to this, GM elections or something as I recall. Why do you feel it's your right to take control of things like this? It's not your job, it's Zae's, and you're violating her turf. We're getting by right now just fine without VCs, why bring it up instead of allowing Zae to do so in her own good time?

A VC nominations topic has already been made and locked. In it, Zaeyde stated she would make the VC applications. You going ahead and making them is against her wishes, and kinda dumb at the same time. So yes, now we have GM applications. Wahoo? Zaeyde's not here to make anyone we decide VC. Don't even bother.
Sorry, I know you thought it would be a nice thing, but it's not happening.

I was on last night when Zaeyde logged in on AIM. I sent her a message stating a GM had been elected and she snapped at me stating she did not care right now. (she apologized a moment later for the outburst). But right now she doesnt have anytime to even think about the game or an application process. The Sniper game is her last worry right now and to assume she has any plans at the moment would be foolish. She may or may not be able to get back and take of things in the next YEAR. So to have somethings ready would be good. She is currently looking for a new job amoung a hundred other things so we our on our own.
In otherwords, accept we may not hear from Zae in a long time and when we do she will have nothing planned.

The question that needs answered is this: Do we even really NEED VCs so badly that we'll explode if we don't have them right now? No. We've elected a GM, and we're already on the third day and we did all this without help from any kind of VC. The only downside is that we can't have the updates stickied, but I think we'll live.

She came back and took charge, so the ball's in her court, regardless of how long it takes her. We're just fine without VCs right now, so I don't even know what spurred this decision, but it's really not your place to be doing it.

We're just fine without VCs right now, so I don't even know what spurred this decision, but it's really not your place to be doing it.
Its spurred by the fact that Zae is busy and having something for her to look at upon return might be a good idea. She had us elect a GM, so I applied that same concept to VCs. Its not that far a gap. Im trying to think ahead and plan. If no one steps up to improve things, nothing changes. Sitting around and waiting for Zae to have to do everything seems a childish way to handles things. I mean, Mommy Zae is busy and cant take care of the kiddies so waiting for her to come back and say, "Okay you so and so can be head of the line and so and so can pick whose it for hide & seek" is just childish. I think we are old enough to take charge and get things started.
