It was a bit of a nippy day for the blood bay Jala stallion, but then again that sort of thing could be credited to the fact he was above ground level and had spread his wings in flight once again. His whim of the wind heart and soul had the bitter aftertaste of over staying his self-obliged welcome and had taken him into a flight away from the terrain he had recently occupied; and now Aitumn realized that flight, with the wind rushing past his hide and soaking his wings, may not have been the best choice for a warmth-loving nequus like himself. But this was the kind of thin he had to endure during the winter months, no matter how much Aitumn loved the warmth, his restlessness would always overcome his need for heat. Having been in flight for some time now the Jala stallion slowly tipped his wings and spilled some of the draft that was keeping him airborne, in order to start his descent towards the ground below. Aitumn was usually a smooth flyer, not really seeing the point in struggling against wind currents or making rash decisions in midair.
When his hooves touched down to the hard, frozen ground below, the nequus took a few loping strides before coming to a complete stop and swinging his head from side to side to glance around as the feathered wings on his back settled into their place along his sides and covering part of his haunches. When he spotted nothing that spoke of a threat the Jala lowered his head to nose at the dried grass below and grudgingly nipped at the stalks. Winter, oh why couldn't the entire land just be covered in the warmth of the sun like the spring and summers months? Or at least like the terrain he spent his time in during that spand of time.
When nothing else of interest caught his attention, Aitumn raised his head to peer at where he was now, and pondered just how far he had flown since he took off. How long had he been airborne? What kind of place was this and where there any familar nequus here? He flared crimson nostrils and snorted such thoughts away, the Jala hardly ever spoke to anyone so why should he worry about that now? Wanting to explore this land a bit more before deciding if he should leave once again, Aitumn craned his neck around and plodded his way in a random direction, the movement causing his lengthy dark mane to glimmer in what light was available. Hallow hazel eyes took in the sights on the horizon as the Jala allowed his mind to get lost once again, plodding along with no real destination in mind.

Sanora, a pink and white aeri female, lowered her head as the sound of plodding steps approached her. They were not the hurried, impatient steps of the bae foal Oren, nor were they the soft pattering of the fauna that lived in the surrounding area. The steps were heavier yet at the same time they were not stealthy.
"Who would wish to come to this part of the woods unless they were an enemy?" Sanora mused a she craned her neck around a large tree. She caught a glimpse of feathered wings and a deep brown pelt but nothing more. She pressed her ears against her skull and twitched her tail out of nervousness.
Letting her fear outweigh her courage she remained hidden behind the tree while calling out to the newcomer. "If it is not too rude of me to ask, what are you doing here?"

Minding his own business and not really paying attention to exactly where he was going, the blood bay flicked an ear as he could have sworn he heard something in the distance, but dismissed it as a trick of his own mind. Though as he continued on his way, Aitumn again heard a voice, louder, and more toned then before. Stopping where he was and raising his head to peer about him, the blood bay Jala stallion saw no one, and his mind raced. Why would they need to keep themselve's hidden? Or did he just not see them? Flicking a lengthy dark tail, the blood bay kept hallow eyes on the trees around him, not quite trusting their shadows now as he again plodded forth. "Taking a rest from my tireless flight, and needing to walk around a bit", he called out into the trees around him. Aitumn kept a tense form with a raised head and flicking ears while he walked, he didn't know where this being was, and he wasn't sure if he could trust it. "If you wouldn't mind me asking, what's it matter?" he questioned, a bit on edge with how things were now.

Sanora tensed her body, her muscles rippling under her ghostly white flesh, under her pink skin making her markings seem a though they were dancing. "It determines whether or not you are a friend or foe. No Nequus has visited this area before to my knowledge other than Oren and me. That is how it matters to me." She backed up a few feet and shook her mane and flicked her tail. Nervous habits they were. Everything in her was screaming for her to run to safety; that this stranger was indeed a foe.

Aitumn flicked his ears at the sound of the voice again, trying to follow it as he slowly craned his neck around to glance. He knew where she was now, but he centered his head once more when he figured out what was going on... for the most part anyway. There was still the chance that lies were involved, and Aitumn didn't much like dealing with lies. They twisted the truth and made it seem like something it was not, but the stallion would take his chance now. "Is that all?" he questioned, quieter this time. For a moment he held his tension, a slight and elegant arch held in his high head and ears perked forward, but slowly he began to relax. First his neck muscles as his head was lowered, and then his gleaming blood bay hide that went lax. The wings that were folded on his sides slipped a bit and he took his chance, flaring crimson nostrils to regulate his breathing. Whoever this being was, it didn't have the feeling of strength behind it at the moment, and he had heard several steps in the opposite direction. He guessed by her words and what he heard that he was intruding on some special ground, a safe-keeping, and he needed to stay calm. If it hadn't been for this realization the reckless streak in him would have wanted to lash out verbally or physically.
"I had no knowledge of this place prior to you bringing it to my attention. Excuse me if I have intruded, it wasn't my intention", he spoke again, keeping hallowed dark eyes faced forward and ears perked in that direction. He didn't want to spook whoever this was by looking directly at them, and he hoped taking this calm route would help to settle things. For as it was, Aitumn hated full-out confrontation to an extent, and highly distasted participating in it unless several criteria where met. Which to this point, has not, so he saw no reason in being the bad guy here. To make himself look less threatening the stallion lowered his body to the ground with a groan from his efforts, already exhausted from his flight here. But, if this being proved to be violent in any way, and intended to attack him like this, the jala had a few tricks up his sleeves that would save him.

Sanora peeked around the tree at who she was speaking to. "You have not intruded. To say you have intruded would imply that this place is my own. I wish it were but sadly the light here in the middle of the day is too bright for my eyes to bear." She raised her head and perked her ear forward tentatively. She lowered her wings a bit but the muscles in her body still twitched with tension.
"Intruding may not have been your intention, but you may still be a foe. To tell the truth everything in me screams for me to flee from you right now." Sanora shifted her footing uneasily, making rustling and cracking noises as she crushed dried leaves that covered the ground. "So, forgive my forwardness, but which are you; a friend or a foe?"

The blood bay Jala kept his position lying on the ground, he was tired and not in the mood to be arguing with anyone, but he didn't want to scare anyone either. So he was in quite a perdiciment with this female, and though he heard where she was clearly he kept his gaze forward and ears flicking to let her know he was listening. "I don't wish to be foes, so that leaves friend. I am a friend" he repeated, though friend was hardly the word right now. He didn't even know who he was speaking to, and as far as he knew she might have other intentions. He swallowed that down, shifting over to his side slightly to show he had no ill-means intended and that he was indeed an anti-foe. It wasn't in his nature to be mean-spirited towards another without provoktion, and normally was a calm guy.
