Walking down a busy market street, Genno stops to admire a beautiful silver bracelet. He uses a spell and sees that the object is not magical, then loses interest. Walking further, he finds a staff lying on the street about to be crushed by a cart. He recognizes it as the one his master owned and takes it, coming perilously close to losing a hand. He noted that this was the exact staff his master held, and wondered what this meant.

"Um...hello there. I'm Samantha. You can just call me Sam, though. How are you? And, what is that in your hand there....if I might ask?"
She looked at the man's hand with curiosity. As it usually happens, she began wondering and using her imagination to think of what it could be. She didn't get out into the world very often when she was younger so she had a lot to learn.

Kakashi walks up to Genno saying "It's been a long time." He shakes Genno's hand. Genno then begins to tell Kakashi where he's been all these years.

Genno turns and looks at Sam curiously, wondering if she may be a thief. Judging that his precious staff was safe, he informed her that it was a walking stick, not wanting to make it sound valuable. He then asked Kakashi where he'd been for so long and they began to discuss current events. As he talked, Genno noticed a strange distortion on the ground and pointed it out to his current companions, asking what they thought it was.

"I really don't know. It kinda looks like a....a....a....a grape fruit!"
Sam chuckled and kept on looking at the object. She smiled and blinked about seven times.
"Hmm.....maybe it's something very important. Maybe its a clue....a clue to a long historical event! OMG! That would be so cool! I've never had this much excitement in my life before!"

"Hmm," Genno mused, "I think it's a pothole... but it's worth a look."
Genno looks down at the distortion and beckons Kakashi and Sam over to him.
"Is there something glittering in there?" he asks.

"Yea! maybe it's a pot of glitter instead of gold.....OMG! Is this where a rainbow ends? That would be cool!" Sam scratched her head and then smiled,"Should I jump down in there?"

"Ah, I dunno" Genno stated. He'd never seen anything quite like it before. All of a sudden, he was pushed by a passing cart into the glittering distortion, and in haste, grabbed Kakashi and Sam and the three went tumbling into the thing, winding up on an unforgivingly hard linolium floor.
Genno looked up at what he thought was his childhood envisionment of a research laboratory.

"Ahhhh!!!"
Sam slowly opened her eyes when she felt like she was on land, and not falling anymore.
"Ok. I would have rather jumped on my own will....but, oh well."
She looked anround and was yet again confused.
"Hmmm...what is this place???"

Kakashi shoots a confused glance at the two of them. He then proceeds to ask Genno if he recognizes the area.

Genno looked about, finding all sorts of bookcases and a table on which a green liquid with questionable amounts of radiation stood.
"I think... I know..." Genno started, trying to feel confident. "Master!" he called "Are you there?" Looking around, Genno realized that there were no doors.

Sam looked around and felt the walls.
"Ouch! That burns!"
The walls were burning hot and you could definatly smell it.
"So, Genno, what is this place???"

"I think this is my master's laboratory... but I have no idea." Genno stated as he looked around.
Suddenly, an old elf appeared before them. "Ah, young Genno," He stated "I remember you. It seems you've found my staff, thank you."

Kakashi then goes into a momentary shock. After recovering he mutters "Unfortunately I know this place." He looks at Genno and replies "Don't you remember? This is where we were interregated the first time we were captured."

Genno, remembering slowly what had occured in that room, began to panic. He grabbed hold of his companion's arms and muttered "Arras... Solamni!" The staff glowed and the three were thrown back onto the street.
