no but my dad was using a metal detector in our garden and found a pocket watch
the guy we took it to said it was rly old ;D

That's awesome. I love pocketwatches.
I have no pocketwatches from my relatives, just an ancient dufflecoat and a bunch of old photos. And there's some old medals lying around, belonging to my great-grandfather who was in the navy, but they're still my grandad's possessions.

My grandpa tells stories about when he was in the navy and they would put shaving cream on other people and he would be chased around with a razor with guys threatening to cut his throat
