Leini managed to wander away from her family again. She was good a escaping her father, mother, and many siblings.
The white coated female pushed through some grass chasing a butterfly that crossed her path. She batted at it sometimes with her paw. But that was only when and if she got close enough to it.
The small red-eyed female tripped gracelessly, betraying her name that she didn't quite fit. Who knows? She might grow into the name later.
"Oww..." She grumbled, pushing herleft up, and shaking her fur. She looked around, relizing that she didn't know which way home was.

Chachili had been relaxing in the sun. Well, sort of relaxing. She had, of course, been rung ragged already with her raising of her two new fawns. They had already grown stronger, and Chachili felt her motherly duties strengthen with them.
She was now used to caring for her young ones. It had been hard, at first, with raising her two new fawns... and feeling the guilt for the other two she had left behind. But the pain had dulled down a lot... her pride had, instead, swelled, as she had turned her life to looking after Mkimya and Pura.
So, of course, now that they were asleep and having their rest, Chachili was keeping guard. But she had found herself slipping off to sleep, and rested, snoring softly, in the long grass.
Nobody would wake her where she was. The High Grass area was a hard area for predators to navigate, and Chachili found herself doubting that any creature would find her there.

Leini stood back up, bounding through the grass again. This time, she was following her nose when she caught a strange scent. She inherited a strong scense of smell from her father.
She managed to trip over something again. Something.... more likey it was her feet then anything else. She clinked at a grey creature that looked similar to the one she had met with her brother. Except... this one was darker, and it didn't have horns.
"Owwie," she whined, finally realizing that she was still on the ground. She pushed herself up, and looked at the creature.

Chachili did not stir. She was in a deep sleep, and was so used to her own fawn's fidgeting at night, she thought nothing of the little wild dog. She didn't even open one eye. Chachili only assumed that her own children were running. Giving a grunt, she suddenly tossed over, and then lay still once more.

"It's a pretty stupid animal, isn't it?"
A young, smooth voice sounded, and a pair of white ears twitched, visible, through the grass. Slowly, the grasses parted, and a creature pushed her body through, winding her way towards Leini and the sleeping klipspringer.
"Hello, there," the wolf pup's eyes shone brightly as she met Leini's gaze, "What's all this, then?"

"Well, Hi!" Leini said after shaking her fur. She always did after she fell or something.
"Who're you?" the wild dog pup asked the white colored creature. She hadn't been out much, so she didn't know much of reactions.
Leini wriggled, with a smile on her face. She liked meeting new creatures, though she hadn't met many.

The white cub ears flicked, and she gave Leini a beaming smile.
"I'm Tsuki," she grinned, pointing to herself by placing a forepaw on her chest, "Just a maned wolf. Local star-gazer. Daughter of the renowned gazer Umilele, if you've heard of my mother."
Tsuki had an air of confidence about her, most of the time, and was not afraid to flaunt her 'style'. She wasn't yet sure of what her style was, but she knew that, by nature, she was loud. That's the way it was, and that's the way it stayed.
"How about your name, Miss?" Tsuki stepped forward, and then turned towards the sleeping preybeast, "And who's this? Pffft, snoring out in the open. Silly creature. Are you having trouble waking it?"

Leini's grin seemed to widen. "I'm Leini," she said proudly, like everyone should know who she was, and she was proud of it!
She then looked at the grey klipspringer. "Hmm... I just fell by it. It would be interesting to wake it though," Leini replied enthusiasticly.

Tsuki's tail gave a brief wag, and the little she-cub's eyes glittered with mischief.
"Right you are, Leini," she grinned, nodding, "How about we make our day a little more... interesting?
Tsuki had taken a liking already to the wild dog pup in front of her. It seemed that Leini shared the same kind of spirit that Tsuki held... pride, confidence, and the will to be playful.
And what better to do than awaken the creature in front of them? That would be exciting! It would be like... an adventure. The grey preybeast could even tell them something great... share tongues with them, lead them to a treasure cove, teach them about the grasslands. As always, Tsuki's imagination ran wild with the possibilities. Danger wasn't part of the deal. Tsuki couldn't imagine that this little animal sleeping in front of them was dangerous at all.
"Let's awaken it, then!"
The white wolf pressed her ears back, and then crept forward, beckoning Leini to do the same with a sharp flick of her tail.

Leini wriggled lightly.
She looked down at the gray creature. It didn't look like she would wake up by them talking.
She crouched down low as well, following Tsuki's example. She wondered exactly what they were going to do next, since she hadn't thought that far along yet. She waited to see what Tsuki would do.

Tsuki's eyes blazed with anticipation and excitement.
"You ready, Leini?" she asked, and looked to her new playmate with a mischievious, ear-to-ear smile, "That preybeast won't know what's hit it. We'll go for it, slowly. Creep up, nice and quietly. Then, when I give the signal, we do a flip in the air, and jump on the creature. But as soon as we touch it, we need to jump off it again, as if it's red hot. Is that alright?"
Her muscles quivered. This was her first time playing a prank. A practice for real hunting.
"Ready?" she breathed, and advanced forward.
"GO!"

Leini gave a determined nod. She started to creep forward again. She awaited the signal.
Upon Hearing it, Leini did a flip in the air and landed on the Klips. She quickly scrambled off the Klipsringer to see what would happen.

Chachili awoke with a start. Half-asleep, she cursed, and lashed out blindly at the air in surprise.
Tsuki, more unfortunate and less agile than Leini, yelped. She hadn't been fast enough... Chachili's hooves kicked up, and the creature leapt up and bucked, enraged. The little white maned wolf then fell, tumbling in the air, and falling straight to the floor in a cloud of dust.
Chachili, on the other hand, was still not totally awake. Her eyes were half-closed, and her senses dulled, but she still had the energy to protect herself. Her instincts were kicking in.
Then, a familiar scent. The klipspringer breathed it in, and instantly relaxed. She knew this scent... it was comforting, and Chachili knew it well. It had changed, though, and smelt slightly different, though the scent Chachili knew so well still was there, and it had been a long time since she had met it's owner.
"Koin?" she mumbled, blinking, and trying to open her eyes wider to cast a glimpse at her old friend, "Is that you?"

Leini dashed to help her new-found friend. "Are you alright, Tsuki?" Leini asked with worry lacing her tone. She used a paw to wave away some dust.
Leini's red eyes quickly turned towards the klipspringer as she heard her father's name. "You know my Father?" the curious white pup asked, eyeing the grey preybeast wearily.
She was sitting now. Next to Tsuki. She glanced ever so often to make sure her friend was alright.
But...
She also wanted to know how and why this preycreature knew her father's name.

Tsuki grinned, and opened her eyes. She was a little sore, sure, but she was okay. A bruise was forming around her hindleg, but that was about all she had left to show of the 'attack'. And plus, she'd had fun, despite it. Pain was all part of the game.
"I'm righter than right, Leini!" she nodded, and gave the wild dog a salute with a forepaw, "Mission complete, too. It has awakened."
And so it had. Chachili, stunned for a minute, blinked. The scent was not that of Koin? Then what?...
"You know my Father?"
Those words surged through her like electricity.
Koin was... a father?!!
Chachili's eyes widened, and she stepped forward to get a closer look at the girl. Yes. She had his eyes. And his spots, although Koin had been a different shade of magenta, rather than brownish-grey.
"You..." her voice quivered, excitement flooding through her, "You're Koin's kid? H...how many of you are there?!"

"Seems so," Leini said with a firm nod.
Leini then turned her attention back to the Klipspringer. She didn't move as the creature came closer. "There are nine of us," Leini said, with a big smile. She could get lost in a big crowd of nine, and escape easily. Especially since she had a brother that looked nearly identical to her.
Leini's eyes glittered.
"So, how do you know my father?" Leini asked. The stories though. They kind of pointed towards this Klipspringer. She wanted to make sure though.
