Pure white pelt moved, shoulders rolling as he stopped. They were sore his shoulders, he had been walking for a while. No sign of his family, it depressed him. He wondered if the two-leggers had gotten them too. Where would he go now? What Ekage knew of home was gone now, cast to the wind like a song sang by the most fragile of creatures. Nothing left, he had to start over now.

"Which way would you bring me?" he spoke aloud, his voice was soft and calm, soothing, confused. He was lost, he wanted a home, but where would he fit in? Most creatures he had seen had intricate patterns upon his pelt, designs passed through generations. He was white, he was pure, he had a blank canvas while so many others had stories painted upon them.

Vian moved along at an easy pace, his muscles rippling lightly under his blue striped coat. He was getting used to traveling and almost liked the idea. Though he still longed for his siblings and the family they had once had. He knew they were alright, but he missed their little tiffs, their laughter, their arguments....it was hard not to want again.

He turned his golden eye slighty as a color caught his eye in his perifferial vision. Or better yet, a lack of color. For in the distance he could see a white shape. Thoughts of the past made him thristy for company so he moved forward, hoping the encounter would be a pleasant one.

Ekage tried to listen to the wind, he remembered his mother telling him stories of it, that her voice could be on the wind, his siblings would be within the clouds, his father in the son, all of them within the stars. He opened his deep brown eyes and looked around, a figure approaching, not fast as if an ambush or attack, just, approaching. Ekage smiled, "You bring something this way for me?"

He had a tendency to speak to teh wind as if his family was in its place. It made him feel more at ease, that he was not totally alone. Ekage began padding towards the figure, would only be polite to meet halfway. As he got closer, Ekage noticed the patterns upon this strangers pelt, it made him slightly envious, he wished he had patterns too.

"Afternoon friend," he said with a bow. It was only proper. "I am Ekage."

Vian smiled in a friendly manner and nodded his head in return. He wasn't the type to be overly polite, but he certainly was more considerate then most. "Hello," His ears perked and his orange eyes seemed to match his smile, "I am called Vian. It's nice to meet you." He seemed to mean it, for his posture was relaxed and welcoming as was he expression.

"Vian, a noble name is sounds to be, it is my honor to meet one such as yourself," Ekage said with a smile. Vian seemed noble, for whatever sense Ekage believed in his head. But that was alright. The noble were the grand, and the grand could be friends. "Are you traveling as well Vian?"

Vian nodded his head, "Yeah....I am. Have been for a while, it seems." He let his neck turn slightly to look at the other male at a politely curious angle, "Where are you headed, Ekage?" He smiled and laughed a little, "Not that I'm an expert on where to go...I hardly know where I'm going myself really." There, one of the few men who didn't mind saying he was lost...or at least somewhat misdirected.

Ekage pondered for a bit. He didn't know exactly where he should be going, just, somewhere, to find a home so he would have one. "Just somewhere nice, I'd like to have a home to call my own, so I wouldn't have to wander a lot," he said with a decisive nod. Yes, not having to wander would be nice. "Do you know of any places like that Vian?"

Vian tilted his head thoughtfully, "Well...I haven't been too many places...but I have heard rumors of the pridelands...it's supposed to be paradise. I've also heard of a pretty pride in a jungle that's nice too." He rolled his shoulders in an apollogetic shrug, "Sorry, I'm not very informed. Settling down isn't exactly what I'm looking for right now so I guess I haven't been paying much attention." Maybe after he found his sister he'd consider it. But not before. He needed to know she was doing ok.

Ekage smiled and tilted his head slightly, "Its alright, do not apologize, I'm merely a wanderer as well. Though my legs are tired of wandering for so long, I'd like to perhaps find a place someday soon perhaps." He said with a definite nod. He didn't really want Vian to be sorry that he didn't know much, Ekage probably knew less about things then Vian.

Vian nodded, "I see. Well, I'm sure a place won't be too hard to find...prides seem to be littered everywhere. I'm sure you'd be more then welcome in more then one of them." He smiled, seeming confident in Ekage's luck and charm. Or at least in his social abilities. He knew many prides were friendly and more then willing to accept a dedicated member. Though some were a bit picky but...life couldn't be perfect, right?

Ekage nodded and was glad to hear from someone else that he may be accepted into a pride quite easy, though some might be difficult to join. But all he could do is try right? "What about you Vian," Ekage said with a smile, "Will you try to join a pride in the future?"

Vian rolled his shoulders in a shrug. Settle down...? Maybe. "Perhaps someday...but I need to find my sister first," He smiled a little. Finding her was really more for his own peace of mind then anything else. He was sure she could take care of herself and she was doing fine but...that was a brother's over-protective nature for her. He couldn't help it.

"I see, finding someone close to you is rather important, I still search for my family as well," Ekage said with a nod. Yes, he had his doubts he would ever be able to find his family Perhaps they might have been killed by now, perhaps they went somewhere safe. But his search would never be over he was sure. "Perhaps my family and your sister met somewhere? That would be ironic," he said with a slight chuckle. But it was more to sooth any tension Vian and himself felt.

Vian chuckled, "Perhaps. It is possible. If they did meet, I'm sure my sister would have left...quite and impression." He said so with affection and a touch of admiration. He and his brothers had always loved and adored their sister's spirit. She was someone you couldn't forget and someone you didn't want to. Life was never boring when she was around and smiled were all too common. Ah, how he missed those days.

"My older sister would like her then," Ekage said with a nod and a flick of his tail. His older sister had her moments of spazzes, but she was also kind. His other sister, only slightly older then he, was quieter, but that was alright. They were all equal in his mind. "Wouldn't it be nice someday if we found them, all together in one place? Surely amazing it would be."
