Skull Monkey Breed Skull Monkeys ... Once believed to be the only generation of the Skull Monkey Race, these creatures were found stranded on a small island just east of Switzerland. The pebbles were dormant and quiet until they were brought back to Gaia and placed in incubation. What resulted were loving and kind creatures aptly dubbed 'Skull Monkeys' due to their seeming need to wear skulls over their heads. Skull Monkeys are born from pebbles and quickly hatch into sleepy infants with adorable faces and fluffy tails. From there one can expect the child stage, which transforms a calm and huggable Skull Monkey infant into a bouncing ball of almost uncontrollable fur (which is still huggable and loving.) Skull Monkeys have a shorter growth spurt than their predecessors, and thus they grow right from child to Adult. Adult monkeys don't really follow any set guildlines in personalities, but rather quiet the oposite. Skull Monkey's are slightly smaller than Skull Monkey Originers. The other major differences are the thinner and shorter tails and the ability to remove (and live without) their assumed skulls. It is less likely that an Sm will atain the anthro stage, but when they do, the only remaining 'animal' feature is their tails.

Skull Monkey Origin Breed Skull Monkey Origins... The Origin Breed (more commonly known as Islanders) Start as larger pebbles with tails. With care and the proper amount of heat, soo the pebble hatches into a sleepy infant, already complete with it's skull, waiting for you to cuddle and love it. After a period of trial and error in teaching, your Smo grows into a child. A bouncing uncontrollable ball of fluff, much like their sucessors (the Sms) Sm children tend to by hyper and impulsive... but you won't have to live with that too long, for before you know it your Smo will become a surley and indecisive teen. During the teen stage they really start to define themselves, and develop feelings for other Sms and Smos. Once they reach adult then it's anybody's guess as to what their personality will be. Every Skull Monkey is an individual in it's own right, and each and every one will be a loving companion to anyone who they so choose. The main differences between the Smo and the Sm breeds, are that the Smo's have a longer span of growth, they CAN NOT REMOVE THEIR SKULLS or else they will die, and they have a much more unstable Dna sequence... making them prone to mutations and much more likely to grow into anthros. Unlike the Sm breed, the Smos retain their 'animal' ears AND tails once they atain anthro stage.

Skull Monkey Headquarters The New Building - Out next to the lake is the New Skull Monkey Headquarters. The building, donated by Pove, is a large brick house that stands four stories tall. The bottom floor is the area most used by the population, and consists of many rooms. Two living rooms, a kitchen, three bathrooms (one with a tub and shower), a den, a couple of hallways, plenty of closets, and a backroom with shelves and dicarded toys and appliances. The second floor is mostly bedrooms and the nursery, and then the third floor is where all the school rooms have been set up. The upper floor is just attics and various junk. - The outdoors area has much to offer, including a grand view of the lake, a dock, many trees (one of which has a swing hanging from it's branches), a shed and many tremendous picnic spots. The Shed - This would be were the groundskeeping tools are kept. What else would you keep here? The Tunnel - There is a tunnel that runs from the basement of the house all the way to the back of the shed. Pove refuses to tell who built it or what it was used for. The Farmhouse - Looking out across the lake one can see the old Skull Monkey Hq standing lonely on the shore. The electricity has been mostly shut off, but for one breaker box, and the place stands forgotten for the most part. Still it's a wonderful place to live the old memories. The Lake - The lake is large and deep, full of fresh water and plenty of fish. It's deep enough and plenty wide to house Pove's ship, though it's another question as to how the ship got there in the first place. There's only one river running into the lake, and it's certainly not going to let the Scurvy Squirrel through. The Woods - The new HQ (and the old one for that matter) are both in the middle of the woods, located somewhere between Barton and Durem. In the woods are your normal woodland animals and some animals that are local (and normal) only to the world of gaia. Skull Monkeys roaming the woodlands should use caution and exercise safety. The Ship - The Scurvy Squirrel. Pove's ship is a broken down, beaten up old monster that she and her Skull Monkey, Marley, insist upon living in. She only asks that people and Skull Monkeys only visit her upon invitation.

Origin Island Luna - The only Smo to never personally feel the effects of the Smog disease, even though she is a carrier. Her brother died from the disease and her sister was gravely ill for a very long time. Luna traveled the the Skull Monkey Headquarters to meet with the Skull monkeys there in an effort to learn more about how they lived. She only succeeded in giving the entire skull monkey population the smog. The Wandering Kestrel - The ship owned by Brick Yellow. As of today the Wandering Kestrel is the only ship to travel back and forth to Origin Island. She's wind powered, with three large sails. Much resembling Pove's ship (the Scurvy Squirrel). In order to get to Origin Island, one must purchase passage on Brick's ship. Prime - The Skull Monkey in charge at Origin Island. The Prime is a lifetime position, unless the current Prime decides to pass the honor onward. The Prime is much much like a dictator, so the wrong monkey in the office means very bad things for the Skull Monkey population. Felix Cerulean - Felix has been the Prime on the Island for ten years. He's a god guy, very caring and jovial, but not the sharpest tool in the shed. He means well, but because he dosen't always see the consequences of his actions before they happen. One the whole every one on the island loves him. The Shore / The Docks - The shore is the first place that one sees when arriving on the Wandering Kestrel. There's usually a lot of things happening on the docks, even though there's only one ship. Many Island Monkeys do their washing up and their laundry in the salt water, so there's usually one or two people there working. There are three separate docks - the one farthest to the left is dedicated to the ship, the one in the middle to the men and women working in the water, and the third is used mostly by the young islanders at play. Housing - There is one specific area on the island set aside for housing, which is assigned to people by the Committee. People are allowed to choose their spouses and who they live with but not where. All the houses look alike for the base part, with each having a different number of rooms and specifics to suit the Islanders living there. When houses become empty due to death or islanders moving, the house goes back on a list at the Committee office to be assigned again. The Committee - The Committee are the ones that control the decisions of the Island. Made up of a group of ten Islanders they assign everything - from housing to jobs, and they are also the ones that schedule the generator times for each and every Monkey. The Generators - Mickey Geeter once got his hands on a childern's book... a picture book which had a hampster on one page. The hampster was in a hampster wheel, running and powering a larger machine. This picture gave Mickey an idea, and thus the generators were born. All of Origin Island is powered by the gererators, which in turn are powered by individual monkeys. There are many different types of machines from simple turn cranks to rowing machines, bycicles, and see-saws. Every Islander is scheduled for generator time, 2 hours every other day, with different machines every half hour. At any time there are at least 100 Monkeys working the generator machines to keep the Island in power. Failure to show up for generator time results in a visit from the Committee. The Mechanics Shop - Rosalee Lee runs the local mechanics shop. This is the place where Monkeys can get all the supplies to fix up their houses. Rosalee is the first and foremost expert in Mechanical and simple concepts, only marginally above her husband (Mickey). Rentals - The local food shop. Run by a number of Skull Monkeys including George and Ernie Swiss, Margie Rip, and Edgar Bink.

What? Breeding? ? ?...Note:: Breeding is still open ^_^ What's life without a little love? *cough* Procreation is something that no one can live without (hyuk hyuk), and your Skull Monkey is no different. Breeding is by no means mandatory (we are not SM pimps.... o_o) , but if your SM wants to start a family, there are definitely ways to accommodate that decision. However, let me make it perfectly clear that this isn't to be a frivolous venture- and we reserve the right to deny breeding to anyone.
You don't know me Rules:: 1. Both SM's MUST be at least teens.Pretty straightforward- SM's are physically able to mate when they're teens... however- you better be darn certain you're willing to accept what we call the Em-consequences if you decide to take this action. ^_^ *sweet whistle*...) 2. The SM's must at least like each other. No forcible situations, in other words. They needn't be entirely committed, or married... accidents happen, after all- just involved in some way. 2. Pairs can be any combination of Sm/Sm, Sm/Smo, Smo/Smo and m/f, m/m, f/fNo discrimination here. ^_~ 3. SM's MUST breed with other SM's... no humans/other pets in the equation please. This doesn't mean your SM can't be in a relationship with another one of your pets, (or even a human as long as they're final/fifther!), but breeding must be SM/SM. On another note, a fifther/final SM can't mate w/ an adult or teen. 3A. Two fifthers may breed together and in that case the children will start as anthros and grow up that way ^__^ Take Tawn and Sarabi's boys as an example. 4. In the case of two adult/teen Smos breeding, Both parents will pay a fee of 6,000g. (12,000g total) This covers certing and colouring and such. And if you think that's excessive- just think, it's only 1k more than a traditional flatsale price SM. The only exception to this rule is if your SM is breeding w/ a shopowner's SM- Em or Kep. Since we don't pay, it wouldn't be entirely fair for you to. (STRONG note: This does not mean you should jump into relationships with our SM's just for a free bebbeh... ^_^ our kids are picky as all get-out, and will see right through frivolous attempts at relationships. That, and some are already involved.) 4A. In the case of two Anthro Skull Monkey's breeding, Both parents will pay a fee of 15k. (30k total) This covers each individual stage for both children from infant to adult. And for ten pictures (5 of each kid) Keppit doesn't really seem to think that this is all that expensive. @.o 4B. In the case of an Smo breeding with an Sm...The resulting child will have an 90% chance of being Smo... and only a 10% chance of being Sm. 5. There will be two pebbles recieved. They will either be in the form of twins, which will be born at the same time, or as delayed births- it's not too uncommon in SM's to give birth to a pebble and then, a few weeks later, have another. 6. What you do with the pebbles is up to you.As in, if you decide to keep them, it is entirely up to you & the other owner whether to Rp them as if YOU are raising them, or their SM-parents. Who rp's which pebble (or at all)- also completely up to you. If you sell your new SM's we take back 10% (thanks) If given away then we suck it up and deal ^_^
Er... wait for it.... Breeding Slots:: 1. Tawn and Sarabi (Sm fifther) 2. Open
Still waiting.... Children from breeding reults::1. Adam and Dalton - Parents:: Tawn and Sarabi 2. Florence and Troy - Parents:: Rome and Lundy

13. Customs... There are several custom selections that will be available at any given time. Please note that as of right now, only Smo linearts are availabe for customs. If you have something in mind, but don't see it here- you'll have to negotiate separately with Pove. Also, please remember that custom means one of a kind- you're paying for the priveledge to have a very unique SM. Which also means, we will not reproduce an existing SM. In other words, if there's an auction for a special SM, you can't just decide you like the look of it and buy to have it reproduced- no can do.
Selection #1: Custom Coloring. 30k- this selection includes existing-lineart coloration to your specification.
Selection #2: Line Art Edits & Custom Coloring 40k- this selection will accommodate for lineart edits to your specifications- such as the addition of ... say, wings- or a metallic limb (*whistles* XD) or etc.
Selection #3: Lineart Edits, Custom Coloring- Plus Bonuses 55k- this selection will include lineart edits and custom coloring to your specifications, plus the addition of whatever items on whichever stage you prefer. Also, this SM is guaranteed 5th/final stage status (should you so prefer).
Selection #4: Original Line Art 80k- Entire pose throughout every stage will be drawn to your specification, as well as custom coloring, item addition, and guaranteed final/fifther status, should you prefer.
Selection #5: Original Anthro Art 100k- The Smo that you purchase here starts as a fifther baby and gets each stage drawn to custom individuality here. It's pretty darn cool.

Pove is Keppit and Emelyn combined Quietsnooze is the lime that spices our lives, and the creator of the Skull monkey concept. She also is the artist that drew the Skull Monkey lines featured in post # 4 Keppit is the main shop operator / certist / fifther artist / Smo artist / colorist here in the thread. Emelyn is the Idea Master. And she says the final word here in the shop.

NPC LISTING
Luna Pykar - (played by Keppit) The only Smo to never personally feel the effects of the Smog disease, even though she is a carrier. Her brother died from the disease and her sister was gravely ill for a very long time. Luna traveled the the Skull Monkey Headquarters to meet with the Skull monkeys there in an effort to learn more about how they lived. She only succeeded in giving the entire skull monkey population the smog.
Felix Cerulean - (Taken) Felix has been the Prime on the Island for ten years. He's a god guy, very caring and jovial, but not the sharpest tool in the shed. He means well, but because he dosen't always see the consequences of his actions before they happen. One the whole every one on the island loves him.
John Japser - (played by Keppit) Despite her name, John is a female Skull Monkey in service to Felix. Unlike Felix, John is very smart and has the man's heart in every way. She's not in love with him, but keeps him close enough to control the poor Monkey. Some islanders are worried that she might have dire plans for Felix and the Island, but nobody really knows anything about that... or her for that matter.
Mickey Geeter- (played by Moofuls) A shy, stammering Monkey with a talent for machinery. He's the initial mastermind behind the Generators, though the concept has since been taken over by the Committee. Mickey is an inventor by heart and loves to read, though he's not enitrely good a word recognition. Mickey is married to Rosalee.
Rosalee Lee - Rosalee, married to Mickey, runs the mechanics shop. She's very intelligent and has a natural knack for understanding how things work. She's moderately shy but much less so than Mickey.
Brick Yellow - (taken) Brick was named after the Yellow Brick road in Frank Baum's Oz books. Brick is the owner and captain of the Wandering Kestrel. He's almost obsessed with his ship, and unless you want to talk about it, then you'll have very boring conversations with the man.
George Swiss- (played by Moofuls) George is a 'cashier' at 'Rentals' (the supermarket). He's a funny wisecraking guy with a general like for conversation. When he's not talking to the Skull Monkeys in line, he's chatting with his twin sister who works beside him on the next register. Ernie swiss- (played by Emelyn) Ernie is one of the Swiss twins. She works the second register at 'Rentals' and shares her brother's affinity for conversation. In fact she's very much like her brother in every fashion... or perhaps her brother is very much like her. They've never figured it out.
Margie Rip- Margie works the third register. Everything else is up for interpretation.
Edgar Bink - (played by Lenta) Edgar is the shelver at 'Rentals'. He's a very kind Monkey, but he lacks the mental ability to learn many new things. He can't read, or remember many names, but he knows the faces of islanders who have been kind to him. His mental problems are a direct result of the severity of his Smog. Aspiring Pilot - (played by Moonlit Monkey) An unnamed character that dreams of flying, but has never even heard of an airplane before. He/she spends all day dreaming of birds and watching them fly. Once our skull Monkeys arrive on the island the character will be more motivated, and he'll eventually get a plane of his own, making travel to the island much easier.
Clinic head - The registrar and head nurse at the local Smog clinic. Everything else is up for interpritation.
Doc Gora - (played by Emelyn) The foremost scientist, and doctor on the island... which isn't saying much.
The Dock Master - A skull monkey who shouts and runs the docks. they like to see the children playing in the water, oversee the salt water fishing hours, and make sure that the arrival and departure of the boat is a big, celebrated occasion.
Two shepards - Title says it all. everything is open to interpretation. Animals are as of yet undecided.
Janet Davies - (taken) Head of the committee, Janet is mean and reclusive. She has serious issues with her power, and enjoys bossing the other committee members around, not to mention the Skull Monkeys there for assignment.
Kei Cerulean- The daughter of Felix, Kei is happy and well adjusted. She loves her father and dislikes John. It irritates her that John is always around her father.
Malore Whinny - An elderly Skull Monkey who used to be a member of the cleaning crew for the Generators, but who is now too old to work at manual labor. He now finds himself a member of the Committee asigning housing to Monkeys.
Iris Pykar- Mother of Luna. More concerned with the health of Luna's sister than Luna. Ashamed of how many times Luna has been caught skipping generator time.
Rasha Pykar- (taken) Luna's sister. Goofy and yet prim and propper. She likes Luna, but doesn't want t lose the attentions of her mother.
