I am revamping this post in to a Discussion thread, not a speculation thread biggrin
I forgot quite a lot already ... Here I go biggrin
-First Impressions of Donna?
-did you notice a MAgpie reference? (I was waiting for one, was the sound system used with the Sonic SCrewdriver Magpie?)
-The uber Robots (I know I would ... if they were male ... and had parts XD)
-The Relationship between Donna and The Doctor
-The Birth of the Earth
-It ending Abruptly! I was like "Aww, that was too anti climactic!"
-The Doctor Going back for Donna later
-Catherine Tate not fitting in?
And now, the after-credits preview! Well, before. What did you think of them? I was upset of the lack of Captain Jack in it, although Freema looks like she might be a good companion, another scientist biggrin She doesnt look TOO bad either.

I've heard rumors of giant spiders, so I think that's what the weird voice at the end is...some actress-as-spider. *hides from spiders*
And also the Santas are - like last year - pilot fish, but this year it's all about them, rather than the Sycorax.
Not long to go til the Xmas special at least - Huzzuh!

Minnn I've heard rumors of giant spiders, so I think that's what the weird voice at the end is...some actress-as-spider. *hides from spiders* And also the Santas are - like last year - pilot fish, but this year it's all about them, rather than the Sycorax. Not long to go til the Xmas special at least - Huzzuh! I think that is who the pilot fish relate to. The thing is, Why are they always shown as santa XD

Not long to go til the Xmas special at least - Huzzuh! The Empress of Racnoss is in it, played by Sarah Parish. She's half spider half human. She looks pretty scary actually. (There's a new article about that here.)
And yeh, the santas are back, but they are slightly different. More..comicy. I wanna know how this all ties in with Donna.

What I don't get - about Donna - is, is she officially a 'companion'? I know she's not sticking around for series 3, she's just in the one episode, but is she a companion..?
And yes, what do the pilot fish have to do with her?
It all sounds very similar to Girl in the Fireplace - some obscure reference that a small-minded intelligence vaguely connected to...thus felt she was critical to their plans...

Ok, from looking at some stuff on the BBC website, the things with the metal looking faces, that is what is underneath the Santa Masks, I was playing a game (somewhere between numbers 15 and 17 I think) that was like Bejewelled, and when you clicked a santa, the image changed to the thing biggrin

Yep, less than a day biggrin
I like to think that anyone who takes a trip in the TARDIS is accompanying the Doctor on an Adventure, therefore they are a companion biggrin No matter how short the journey, Rickey (or was Rickey the Parallel earth one?) and that dude that got the brain thinger done, they were companions, yet only shown in the TARDIS a few times biggrin

The Doctor invites her to come along, meaning he wanted her to, so therefore, she is a companion biggrin She also went to the birth of the Solar System, so, I guess she took a trip biggrin
