My method with cheats and what not, is to actually wait until I've completed the game, then go have fun with the cheats because I know I am capable of beating the game without them.
Walkthroughs optional. wink

ok if u take ur doggy and talk to Karen while holdin him, her heart will go up, but u have to talk to her like 50 times and her heart color will change, but u have to do it when she's at a white heart, if u try while she's on blue or something it won't work, and it doesn't work on the other girls (I tried xp )

I don't like cheats, but I do like walkthroughs, otherwise you can get sooooooo stuck in some games.

I know some people that are adamant to never looking at an FAQ or walkthrough unless they beat the game on their own. However, if they can't get past something, they usually just stop playing the game without ever knowing how it ends or anything.
That said, I usually advocating looking up a walkthrough if you're stuck in a game. Better to keep moving with help than to give up in frustration altogether.

i really only look at walkthroughs when i'm desperate for information or advice on specific parts. glitches however, i seem to run into on my own. sweatdrop

I don't really have an opinion on cheats. If I can't beat a game at all, I'll use them (case in point, FFX...could never beat Seymour...grr. >.<) but I use walkthroughs religiously. I have 15 PS2 games, 7 Xbox games, and 6 Gamecube games. I have strategy guides for all but one of my PS2 games (NCAA Final Four 2002 which I only have for show, really), strategy guides for 4 of my 7 Xbox games, and I have the strategy guides for half my GC games...plus I have a strategy guide for the only PS1 game I play anymore, FFXII. I really don't think strategy guides are cheating, I mean...it's not giving you bonus levels by using it, or giving you invincibility, or extra power, now is it? All it's doing is telling you how to play the game RIGHT, like the people who made it intended. That's just my two cents.

in halo 1 if you hit x,y,x when your gun is out of ammo it will reload it sself whilke you have the 2nd gun out. 3nodding
