It was one of those important dates in their lives, the one where he and Emer had first met a while back. Not that Orpheus remembered, he had the worst memory when it came to thinks that could be constrewed as romantic. Instead Emer had come over to kidnap him and dropped off Kale. Ligeia was old enough now that he could be left in charge of watching after the younger two boys.

So he found himself sitting in a fancy sort of retaurant, looking at a menu that was in a lot of french though luckily for people like him had translations off to the side and he was trying to figure out the occassion. Hrm... he KNEW for a fact it wasn't her birthday, they were married so it couldn't be their anniversary, it was February so it wasn't Valentines... Huh... Then why? Not that he would say it out loud, that would be as bad as admitting that he forgot.

Not that Emer probably couldn't tell since she knew him so well...

There was nothing but outrage in the stance of the snake child, he was old enough to take care of himself he damn well didn't need a babysitter! Especially his damn sister of a brother Ligeia! He wasn't going to take this laying down! He was gonna...

"You guys will tell me if you need anything right? I really need to study." He said, looking over at his brother and Kale, arms full of his magic tomes.

"Eilenne g'rei." Vorel said to them, making Ligeia giggle.

Ter blinked then nodded rapidly, "Yesss!" Yes! They didn't have to be watched ever moment! This was great!

Baroness gave a hiss, tail lashing. She had no idea why but Ter was excited which meant that she was excited as well. That and her new favorite person was here, Kale! The one that would be partners with her minion! She looked over to the giraffe to give him a toothy smile, a real one and not one that said she wanted to eat him.

The man seemed to flush a little bit at the reminder of that, he'd been rather paniced as at the time he had been running like hell from a job that had gone a bit badly when he bumped into her. To break the labtop meant that he wasn't getting away so easily with just an appology, "Ahh! Yes, I remember now." He said, lifting a hand to fiddle with his tie. It wasn't as if it were the first time he had dressed up just... the first time in a long while. Emer was the only one that could bully into something other then jeans and his favorited, raggedy t-shirts, "I thought you were gonna have my hide that day."

Ter nodded slithering over and sat coiled up, lounging back on them. It was useful at days to be really long. His own coils made a good pillow for him, "Yes. Will help with study having Baroness." He said, then he could have both the reading information and the 'hands on' information.

Baroness looked down at the books then seemed to puff up. They were talking and reading about HER! She felt quite pleased, what good boys she decided. Very good ones. She laid down, though her head was up to listen in on what it was that they were reading about, curious what the books would be saying about her.

"Yeah, was a lucky meeting in the end I think." Emer had ended up not only hiding him until the coast was clear but she became his partner in crime and things seemed to always go so much smoother when she was in charge of the technical stuff. He was there to do the other stuff, the atheletic part of the job. It was what he was good at.

He starred for a moment at the menu, looking for something that didn't include any animals that would make him feel guilty, "Bleh. I look at these foods and all I can think of are my students." He muttered, ending up ordering chicken since he'd yet to have a chicken for a student thusly it was still a safe choice.

"Books are wrong." He said, looking down at them. They were saying that Baroness, HIS precious and wonderful wyvern was fake! Stupid books, "Come. Do something funner then studying." He gave a glance to his brother then did a slithering-belly crawl towards his room.

Baroness crouched low and followed along after him, Ooo. They were sneaking which meant they were up to something!

He gave a little laugh, "Soon enough I will end up a vegetarian, just you watch." He told her then let the waiter leave with their menus and orders. He blinked at her question and seemed to be thinking on it for a long while, "Ligeia and Kale? Yes. Ter... I don't know. That would all depend upon his mood." He had his moments where he was good, then again he had his times he was... well a young boy that was acting like a young boy should, "I am sure that things will be fine, Ligeia is watching them after all."

Ter coiled back up and looked over at Kale, "Was thinking, you should get ear pierced." He told the giraffe, nodding. He dug around under his bed to pull out a box, inside the box was another box and inside of it was a kit he had bought downtown. It was for piercings, "I got this. Cheaper to do them my self." He motioned to his ears that had several piercings in each.

Orpheus nodded, "Yeah." He wanted to think that they would behave for Ligeia and not drive the poor Owl nuts so he would believe in them. He looked over at the wine, reaching over to pick up the glass to take a sip of it. The music was... nice. Not high up on the list of things that he knew well, he was more for hard rock type stuff. It fit the setting though, made it seem rather... romantic?

Ter nodded, "Gotta get them and you clean." He slipped off for a moment to fetch a cloth and the peroxide from the bathroom, checked on Ligeia again who was making notes on whatever was in his huge books. He would steal the notes later to read them over to keep up on what his 'rival' was reading up on. He then hurried back into his room, closing the door then coiled up in front of the door, "Baroness. Guard the door."

She nodded, moving over to sit in front of it weight leaning against the door.

"Yes, happy aniversary." Orpheus said then looked down at the box that was set in front of him, for a moment thinking that it should be the other way around shouldn't it? The guy was supposed to give things to their girl on anniversary.

"You didn't have to get me something." He said this even as he reached over, picking it up and popped it open none the less, curious to see what was inside.

"Hurt? Naw. Not really." He poured some of the peroxide onto the cloth that was in his hand then looked up at Kale, "Which ear you want done?" He asked, would be best to do the opposite of the nose then which ear he wanted done, unless he wanted one of those chains running between the two. He would have to ask after he picked which ear.

Orpheus was quiet for a while as he starred at the gem, watching the way that the candle light bounced off its surface. Then he gave a whistle, "You kept it all this time?" He asked, really he had no idea what she did with the gems that were half the take. He figured that she cashed them in somewhere for money which was far more useful. That she had saved one, this one in particular, "Wow... and your giving it to me? Are you sure?" The gem was priceless, to just give it away like this.

Ter lifted his hand up to scrub off Kale's ear, when it was sufficently clean he got the earring the giraffe picked out, gave it a dunk in the peroxide to make sure it was clean before loading it up in the piercer. Basically the thing was like a stapler, "Turn this way."

He lifted it up before putting it on, tucking it under the button up shirt he wore because he didn't want to draw attention to it or himself, last thing he wanted was to get jumped for it, "I will wear it all the time." He said, smiling at Emer, "Thank you, very much."

Ter put the piecer in place, "Counting to three." He told Kale, "One... Tw..." Half way through two the piercer snapped the earring into place through Kale's ear.
