School lunch break, one of Delta's favorite times of the school day and today she had even remembered to pick up her lunch off the kitchen bench. The bell was like music to her ears with its piercing lack of melody, quickly she packed her books and pencil case into her shoulder bag and began to make her way out of the classroom when that dreaded thing happened.. The teacher called out her name, obviously wanting to talk, and with a sigh delta was forced to turn back away from the door to discuss some educational matter with her teacher. Why oh why couldn't she have waited till after lunch to talk, didn't she know that kids need to eat? The talk with the teacher wasted ten whole minutes of her lunch break, now there would be next to no free tables in the canteen. And sure enough there wasn't, all the tables were taken by at least one person, most were full which meant that delta would most likely have to sit next to a stranger. She took out her lunch bag and sighed, heading closer to the tables to scope out the best place to sit.

Altessa, currently, was not residing in school, but sat at a lone table by herself, hands folded to hold up her head as she stared coolly at the tables around her. The kids seemed skittish at those certain tables, but the certain had a bored look on her face, as if that wasn't the reaction she had expected.
And then her eyes met Delta's, and remained there, narrowing slightly as if saying "I dare you to sit here."

Peering around delta got more and more nervous, none of the people she knew seemed to be in the canteen today. She continued to scan the room until there, was that girl she had seen before...the lizard-like girl, and she was looking at her! Delta took this as a sign that she could sit over there, the girl after all was all alone, maybe she needed a friend.
Weaving her way through the sea of tables and kids she headed for the table with the girl. Strangely as she walked she felt like people were looking at her more and more like she was weird, were her clothes strange? why were people looking at her.. Reaching the table delta put on a warm smile hoping that would help with the awkwardness before she sat down "Hi there, I hope its alright for me to sit here, I'm Delta. Nice to meet you, I have seen you around but never talked to you befor- heh sorry.." she stopped herself realizing she was babbling a little.

People watching was fun, but not when they were sitting at the same table as you, talking their mouth off like there was no tomorrow.
Not really annoyed at the current moment, but slowly getting there, Altessa grimaced a small bit as she shifted in her seat, leaning further all the more. Her gaze was intense now, and she immediately thought of the woman that had stated that she needed to test out her power to make others fear her.
Of course, being with both Jett and Ai'shern had given her insight, as well as the 'pep talk' that Kanth had given her as well. There was no reason to fight; you could make the others simply cower just from having the right look, stance, and pride.
She would wait a bit more, and see where the conversation led. Of course, nothing intrigued her about this particular girl; not yet, anyway.

Delta looked at the girl, she still hadn't said anything, weird. She opened her lunch bag and pulled out an apple, smiling she took a bite. "So, Whats your name?" she asked, hoping to get some kind of response, the silence and the girls look were making her feel incredibly awkward. maybe this girl was just incredibly shy. If she was delta could understand it as her appearance was very outwardly unfriendly. But people don't choose their appearances and a scary appearance doesn't mean a scary person.
Feeling the silence more than ever Delta decided it was better to babble then have an awkward silence just drone on and on. maybe if she said something that peaked the girls interest she would join in the conversation... "So yeah, Egg tour... You had the Black dragon egg, right?" Delta hoped she had remembered correctly but she was pretty sure she had. "That one was in Acid which was pretty cool, shame though too since it prevented you from actually being able to hold it."

Altessa glared at Delta at that moment, hatred emitting from her. She opened her mouth to speak, but then thought better of it, sitting back and glaring at the other.
That comment was enough to push her over the edge. She had gotten to touch her egg, but Altessa...? No, she had had to endure watching it from behind a glass.
Idly, she wondered how long it would take Delta to fear her, with the look she was giving her. The other kids had started to move away, their skin clammy and foreheads sweating as they glanced shakily to the two.

Delta suddenly felt a cold chill and the hair on the nape of her neck stood on end...eerie. "Umm, Is it just me or is it cold in here.." Delta felt really awkward, after the mentioning of the egg the girl had begun to glare at her it seemed..maybe she didn't like dragons... but who didn't like dragons?! Delta finished off her apple and rolled up her lunch bag, saving her sandwich for later, all of a sudden she wasn't feeling all that hungry. "I'm sorry" Delta looked apologetically at the girl hoping she hadn't offended her. "Sometimes i just say the wrong things i guess. I was just trying to start up a conversation and dragons are one of my favorite things... but if you don't like them then i apologize." Delta shuffled on her seat, the feeling of cold clamminess wouldn't budge, how strange.

She wanted the girl to stutter, but was rather proud of the fact that she already made Delta clammy at the touch. So her ability was improving.
She couldn't wait to tell Ai'shern.
"I like dragons... but I hate you for getting to hold yours before I got to hold mine." Altesa stated slowly and calmly, closing her eyes. The feeling of hatred was still there, but it was a dull feeling now, one that Altessa let simmer.
"You do not impress me, and I don't believe you ever will."

As soon as the girl spoke delta beamed, this was a good start.. oh wait... This girl hated her?! Delta was stunned, she just sat there for a few seconds her mouth open looking quite dopey. then she regained her composure "oh." Delta bit her lip, she had really put her foot in it this time. "I'm- Sorry... I'm sure you will get to hold your dragon soon..." She felt tears welling up in her eyes. This poor girl, couldn't even hold her dragon egg and she had just completely made it worse. Not quite sure what to do since Delta had never made anyone angry or upset before she stood up and walked over to the other girls side of the table and put a hand on her back trying to be comforting. "Its.. ok to hate me. I'm really sorry, hey.. want my sandwich?" delta held out her lunchbag as a peace offerring.

Well now, this was something new. Here Altessa was being fearful on purpose, and this girl was trying to apologize for her behavior...?
Oh, what a chance. Altessa's eyes brightened slightly as she thought, but her shoulders sulked downward in a rather depressing manner. "No, I don't want your sandwich." Her eyes shifted away as if she was indeed sulking, or rather, hurt by Delta's comment.
Keep your friends close, but your enemies closer, was the first thing that came to Altessa's mind. She had to hold back a grin.

Delta felt like a monster, she must have really upset this girl. How could she be so heartless, making the girl so sad and she didn't even know her name. Wanting to make up her her mistake so bad delta felt like crying. She didn't want to be seen as a bully, delta wanted to be friends with everyone. How could she show this girl she was really really uniquely sorry... Delta was lost... and when she was confused she generally did stupid things. Not having a clue what to say or do delta let the tears come and she flung her arms around the girl. Even though she didn't even know this girl she felt like she should give her a hug to try and make things better "I'm so sorry... so sorry..." delta repeated over and over in between tears really confused about the whole situation. "please don't hate me, please? I just want to be your friend. I'm sorry..."

".... you can apologize by owing me a favor. How does that sound?" Altessa murmured softly, and almost too quietly. Her eyes now glanced up to meet Delta's, locking on them with mild interest.

Delta let go and beamed a smile "Of course, sure, I owe you a favor! so are we friends now?" She was so happy that the girl was going to forgive her. And pshh, what was a favor. She would probably only have to do something small like helping out with homework or something. "What kind of favor do you need?" Delta asked, returning to her seat still smiling happily, tail wagging.

"I do not know, but you will owe it when the time comes." Altessa murmured, then raised an eyebrow. "I suppose... we could be... friends."
How intriguing this would be.

"Awesome!" delta grinned thinking that she had finally gotten through to this lovely girl, but still at the back of her mind a thought popped up that delta was making a mistake but she just pushed it away as a stupid insecurity. This new girl was kind and sensitive in delta's view and they would be great friends. Wait.. she didnt even know her name... "Uhh..." delta looked embarressed, feeling stupid to ask "Whats your name again?" She put on an angelic grin hoping the girl wouldnt feel insulted that she didnt know.
