so hows the new ion DraXxus ???

sweet, i was thinking about getting a new marker at the end of the summer i may pick one up, and about the editting, meh it doesnt bother me

The Ion has a outter shell that is a strong strong plastic,it's also a nice fine plastic..The inside tube it metal and all..I don't really see it chopping with anti-chop eyes..The people might be getting barrel brakes not chops, which is cuased by the barrel not the gun itself..I've shoot a pod through my Ion with stock barrel and my Ultralite and I didn't chop or have a barrel break and I using some old paint..The gun is totally worth the $300 for spend on it..Alot of people hate Smart Parts and the Ion..Alot of players hate the Ion becuase a person can buy one and throw 100-200 xtra in to the gun and it'll preform like there $1000 markers..I use to dislike SP but I got over it becuae business is business..

(I've only had my Ion for small time and have not been able to go out and play.)

Well for one which the main reason I can think of..They sued a bunch of companys..Basically anyone who made a electro pnuematic marker got sued..AKA had to stop making Vikings/Excaliburs becuase of the law suit..AKA made some good guns and I hope to see a new one from them in the future..Well not to get off topic thats the main reason..Another thing I think made people turn was the Shockers..Some people loved the Shocker when they got it and then some hated it after awhile becuase they tend to break down quite easy..My local team who shoot Shockers have a hell of a time with thier Shockers..It seems everytime one of them get theirs fixed another goes down..Some of this is also cuased by user error..I think the hype of the Nerve which took like 3 years to get out may of driven some people away from them earlier..And then when the Nerve came out it was really no better then the Shocker and was like $300 more..There may be some things I skipped..

I also think some people don't SP becuase they don't really know the company and it's products..I was once kidna like this, but I let it pass sence it was kinda stupid to let the grudge stay against a company..

Well after about a month with my Ion I was finally able to go out and play with my Ion at my friends field (Homebase Paintball)...We had some 3v3,2v2 games on a small insane field we set up..We even got to play against a guy I know from Jax Warriors (X-Ball Div. 1 team) and the Ion was rocking the whole day with no problems..We even had another guy I know out there with his Ion and both of our guns had no problem..His was making a weird ping noise when it shot but it didn't effect the guns preformence..

Sence we were playing 3v3 and 2v2s I was scoreing 1-2 eliminations a game..The Ion kept up with all the guns out there perfectly..We had a Timmy,Karnivor,Shocker,e-Orracle (my old one) and another Ion out there..I even got to try the Ion out in acouple woodsball games, and it did grand..Accuracy wasn't bad with the stock barrel (was windy out there). I tried out my Ultralite out on it and it was much better then the stock...

I shoot about 1300 balls and not a single break/chop..Would of shot more but the 2v2 and 3v3 games were so insane and quick you didn't get thru a hopper..

Overall I give the Ion 9/10...I'm a fan of LCD boards..

When I got home I cleaned and lubed my Ion..I was amazed how easy it was to dissemble (sp?)..I hear alot of people complaining that you have to take it almost all the way apart clean the bolt..But the Ion already has a small amount of parts so no wonder why you have to almost take the whole thing apart..Plus if you don't chop there is nothing to cry about.

Well after another days worth of play with my Ion I'm still impressed..I got my new Trinity/Bad Habitz T-Lock feed neck for my Ion and put on my Ultralite and went out and played..I played like 12 games and no chops or breaks and I'm still using 2 month old paint..I had no problems with the gun and had a good time...We were playing 3v3 and 2v2s again and I averaged 0-1 eliminations a game(field set-up was not very backman friendly)..

I got bunkered one game and the guy shot me in the head and luckly I wear alot of padding on my head and it bounced and I shot the guy after he ran by becuase he didn't want to overshoot me.. twisted

Still a 9/10

I'm also working on remodeling the SP Owners Group Main Post..

my ion kicks a**....i put in a new board, and a low pressure system....if you thought it wasted little air b4, check it out with low pressure system....
with the new board, it shoots mad fast.....
i had to buy it cause the regular board breaks easily...thats the problem with stock.....
