this is a very good question. When your playing in character, you can write down your character's feeling and thoughts. Not only does this help you get into your character more, but can also help you explain what your characters are doing.

Do remember, when you role play, you are actually writing a book. In stories, it is OK to say what a character is thinking.

Allowing your character to 'think' gives him (or her) another level of realism. Let your characters grow over time. Let them think, get angry, fall in love, get their hearts broken, for your goal is to make your character as real as possible.

Hey, last I knew, you think too, right?

Can I chime in on that?

-Look, the best way to think what your character is thinking or what he is doing is to be the character. Embody the character's every moral, every reaction, think like s/he thinks. If you know the how the character will react when you read what your opposing writer wrote, writing what they think will come naturally.
