Ok im just wondering here what kind of powers Bella might have if she gets turned into a vampire. I've read on a website that the reason Edward, and Jane can't affect her is because Bella has a very private mind. Well maybe she'll have a power to manipulate other peoples minds like Jane.

See... personally, I'm wondering if she really is amune to all vampires, because maybe Victoria was really trying to make Bella think she was crazy and get her to kill herself in the process of trying to hear Edward...
But that makes me think, how good of a vampire would she be if she didn't have any powers? I mean, what kind of a heroine would she be if she was just average? But, then again, that's just me.

hmm, I've actually been wonderingabout that for a while now and you're probably right about the mind thing although she may not be able to control people's minds, her power will probably have a lot to do with her mind smile

yeah, something with her mind... but what does her having a "private mind" really mean? im wondering if there's more to bells's mind that hasn't been revealed yet. like it said that when edward was human, he could unconsiously hear people's thoughts and when he became a vampire it became stronger. so what if there's some part of bella's mind thats, i don't know, REALLY different?

It's really hard to say if Bella can block all vampire powers or not, because Alice could see Bella's future, so maybe it's just the mind reading that she can block. But of course, that could be what her powers develop into, being able to block all vampire powers. And maybe not just for herself, but like if she wanted she could block herself and others from other vampires... *shrug* I'm not really sure though. Maybe I'll get back to you after I re-read the books, lol.

I think everyone's got the right idea, most likely it'll be something to do with her mind, but who knows things might get twisted around biggrin

I think that Bella's power, would be that none of the other vampires powers would work on her. That and maybe she could block other people from being affected too, you know, like a barrier? If Edward wants to read someone's mind, maybe Bella could stop him from being able to read that persons mind.

I know its unlikely, but I read a fanfic earlier today, and her power had to do with reading and erasing people memories.
It makes no sense in the context of a human characteristic intensified, but all in all, it sounded cool.
