I went through all the arcade games because I think I want a couple for Christmas. I looked them all over and these are the ones I'm interested in.

Small Arms
Contra
MK3/Street Fighter
Pacman
Doom
Frogger
UNO***
Gauntlet
Feeding Frenzy

UNO would be my first choice because I love this card game. MK3 and Street Fighter I want to get one of them depending which has more online players and which has easier achievements. Which of the two would you suggest?

I'm curious what games you'd add up there and why? Also what games I should take down and why?

Small Arms: Yes. It's awesome, especially if you have people to play it with.
Contra: No. There are a lot of glitches in this game (especially in co-op) so you might as well just avoid it.
MK3/Street Fighter: Street Fighter is alright, but single player is just impossible. Multiplayer is great but not many people play it anymore. So only get it if you have some buddies to hook up with.
Pacman: Yes. Pac Man is just awesome.
Doom: Yup. It's Doom. Come on. It has co-op, multiplayer and everything.
Frogger: Er...no. Yeah it's only 5 bucks but that's 5 bucks you could use for...
UNO***: ...this. It's UNO. People love it.
Gauntlet: It's alright. Nothing special though.
Feeding Frenzy : It's better to just play the free version on the PC. You won't be loosing much. If you really want a puzzler type of game, go for Zuma. Awesome game and will keep you busy for a long time.

I also suggest you check out some of the indie titles out there. Outpost Kaloki is great if you love strategy type games (It's in the same realm as the Tycoon games, more or less), Cloning Clyde is an awesome platformer that is just hilarious, Assault Heroes (Which just released today) is an amazing top-down action shooter. Marble Blast is also a stellar game that every Live Arcade nut should own.

Geometry Wars is a lot of fun if you don't already have it.

And Assault Heroes is a must have, it just released today.

It's pretty similar to Super Monkey Ball, if you've ever played that.

You should only buy a game if it does not adhere to the following catagories:

-Can I get it on an emulator on PC and play it online that way?
Example: SF2, MK3

-Does the game have Zero Replayability?
Example: Gauntlet, Feeding Frenzy, Hexic

-The game supports single player only with no competetiveness at all
Example: Outpost Kaloki, Cloning Clyde

-The game is ridiculously overpriced
Example: Lumines.

Following that list, the one's I'd recommend would be,
Geometry Wars
Small Arms
Assault Heroes
Roboblitz

But other than those four, there's not alot else worth your time right now. Wait for more IP's to come out ^_^

Well I downloaded a few demos and probably won't get Pacman, Feeding Frenzy, or Frogger since I can get them on my PC for free.

I tried assualt heroes and contra and hated them both.

UNO and Doom to me are a must buy! UNO is one of my favourite Card games, and I heard it still has a strong online community. Doom is simply amazing.

Small Arms, Ulimate Mortal Combat, Street Fighter,Gaunlet, and Marble Blast are games I want to get down the road at some point but I can wait.

Thanks for everyone's help biggrin

DOOM: really fun and challenging on hard mode yet a fun stress reliver on easy modes. although you will probably have to ask people on fourms to start online games.

Small Arms: Really fun and fast and funner if you have freinds to play with.
