Akito as we all know is the head of the Sohma clan, there is definetely an air of mystery around this character however. In the Anime Akito is male all the way through. But in the Manga Akito is revealed sometime between volumes 12 and 15 as a female. What gender do you think would best suit Akito?

I think a guy would be better as well Akito does tend to get very violent...but he acts very bitchy so..yea dunno

i think akito is a girl cause she feels jealouse of tohru being near shigure, kyo, and yuki.

I say girl cause she is over protective of the boys and hate girls.
And cheese_et_jellyfish about you asking if Kureno and them would transform, that is a no cause they are Sohma's, also Kureno hasn't been cursed for a long time.

And cheese_et_jellyfish about you asking if Kureno and them would transform, that is a no cause they are Sohma's, also Kureno hasn't been cursed for a long time. In fact Kureno's curse was broken ten years ago but Akito kept him away from the other zodiac member to create the illusion that he still was cursed.

hmmm, I don't know. He definatly acts like a girl with a permanent case of PMS. But then again, he could be a guy in the way he looks... Maybe he's nether! eek

I still think he's ether both or nether. Him being a woman is just too creepy. Just as creepy as him being a man though, with his jeleusy and all.

I guess you could say she's kind of both until vol 17. (When you find out she's female) Ren had her raised as a man so thats how most of them knew her.
