Original Spell: To create a mythical gorgon –by sacrificing all three of the snakes simultaneously, the witch would gain the ability to turn people to stone when they look directly into her face.
What went wrong: The spell called for the sacrifice of three vipers, all three of which were supposed to be different species. Not knowing that this would completely alter the spell, the witch who cast it used three vipers of the exact same species, which she had gotten from the same area out of covenience.
