The rivalness has been going on for too long between James and these two guitarists did you like Metallica better with or without Mustaine this is going to be a long poll plz everyone vote. I vote Kirk Lee Hammet.

Kirk, obviously. How many famous Metallica albums was Dave on? Hands? none except for having some credit on "Jump in the Fire", "Phantom Lord", "Metal Militia" and "The Four Horsemen" on the album Kill 'em All. Otherwise, all the greatest Metallica songs were played by one great lead guitarist, Kirk Hammet. Dave shouldn't have taken up singing for Megadeth anyway.
