GPG Book Club
Book of the Month November's Book Veronika Decides to Die by Paolo CoelhoThis month's book was chosen by Mara-Ani. _________________________________________ The BoM has been changed to just one book per month. I'm not putting any warnings on the books so they may contain adult language, adult themes, violence, etc. If you have any questions regarding the book, PM Levar Burton.
Any suggestions for books for upcoming months should be put as comments in Levar Burton's Journal.

Rules
Follow all GPG and Gaia rules.
Please post when you're starting one of the BoM books and also when you're finished. I'll list the readers in the post below and put a star next to your name when you've finished reading.
When posting about any key plot points other haven't gotten to yet, use white text marked with the arrow emoticon at each end.

Keep this thread on-topic. Please talk about books, not other things going on, unless they pertain to the books.

Books of the Month June's books
Adult: Watership Down by Richard Adams
Adolescent: The Westing Game by Ellen Raskin
Easy Chapter: Ramona the Pest by Beverly Cleary
Picture: Chrysanthemum by Kevin HenkesBook Category Descriptions
Adult: Books in this category can be any general fiction, nonfiction, plays, or collections of poetry.
Adolescent: Same as the adult category except that these should be written specifically for an adolescent audience (12-18 years old.) They will usually have an adolescent as the main character.
Easy Chapter: Books in this category should be geared towards those readers who are just starting to read longer books. More text-intensive picture books may also be chosen for this category.
Picture: Books in this category can be anything from wordless picture books to picture books with stories. They should be geared towards children under 5.

Book Selection Procedure
Each month different people will be chosen to select the Books of the Month.
Send a Friendslist Request to LeVar Burton if you would like to select books.
Once confirmed for LeVar's Friendslist, PM LeVar with the categories (See first post for categories.) you are interested in selecting.
LeVar will PM you when it is your turn to select books.
When chosen, PM LeVar with your book selections. Please include the titles, authors, and any necessary warnings about the books.
Selection Committee arrow Note: You do not have to be on the selection committee to participate in Books of the Month discussions.
