 Yet another day had passed. Amaterasu gazed into a pool of water. For some reason, she had found that that helped her visions. By now, she had trained herself to be able to control the tense of a vision, but she wasn't yet able to induce it.
She wasn't exactly sure how wise it was to be working on these sorts of seer things with her young in her belly, but she never felt any physical pain from her "training." She gazed into the small pool and concentrated. Future, future, future... she urged mentally.
She had almost given up when she saw that familiar blur of her vision... She felt her body undergo the paralysis that always came with her visions as she saw it uncurl. It was third person. She saw herself running by, but slowly. She was a lot skinnier. In the Pridelands. Kaede followed behind, but now she could only see silhouettes. Behind Kaede, were two pups. Two maned wolves. Her vision blurred and she was back in the present, in her own body.
She shook it off quickly, and looked around. The sun was starting to set, and she was still a ways away from her den. She imagined her vision meant she was to have 2 pups, and her heart soared. She smiled and hummed as she headed back.

 Nuhusi rolled over in the grass, her bright orange gaze lingering on the sky. Ever since her meeting with the charming Eze she had lingered around the pridelands. Perhaps in hope that she'd meet more interesting individuals. But things seem rather quite and mundane. It was rather boring. No wonder so many people came to live here. She knew many people desired peaceful, rutine lives and this was the place for that. She settled onto her belly, her ears flickering in boredom as she let her eyes slide shut slightly.

I actually summoned a vision! Amaterasu thought in her head with joy. She was starting to get the hang of this whole seer thing. She only wished she had been able to see the pups...
Movement in the distance broke Ammy's train of thought. She wasn't too scared though, she felt safe here in the Pridelands. She feared only for her clearly full belly. It would be obvious to even the most naieve creature that she was pregnant, and unable to defend herself. She sniffed the air to try to figure out what it was. A leopard. Female. Adult. Ammy knew the smell, but had never actually met one. She took another step, hoping to avoid the leopard out of fear for her pup's safety, but made a twig snap. She was certain her cover was blown, and waited for the leopard to show herself. ((She's very beautiful, by the way. heart ))

Nuhusi's ears twitched at the sound of a snapping twig. She lifted a sleepy eyelid, peering with little interest out over the landscape. With a slight crane of her neck she caught sight of a maned wolf in the distance. A very fat maned wolf. Curiousity got the better of her, for she hadn't for the life of her seen a maned wolf so naturally fat...As she sat up to bring her front above the grasses she was able to see more clearly and catch the scents on the wind. The female rank of pregnancy. Ahhh, so that was why she was so round. Nuhusi smiled in amusement and gave a lazy stretch of her body. This might be something interesting to go see after all.

Amaterasu saw the silken movement of the black leopard in the distance. Amaterasu gulped, on edge for her unborn pups and unsure what to do. No matter what, the leopard had seen her, and even if she tried, there was no escape. She felt a little less safe. She did the only thing she knew, "Good evening!" She called out to the leopard, hoping that it was a friendly one. The sun was still setting, as it had been five minutes before. Amaterasu hoped she could make it home before dark, for fear of more vicious creatures.

Nuhusi smiled a little, her eyes starting to glitter in the coming dark. Her form was becoming less visable, since her silky black fur blended in so well with the night. "Good evening indeed," She purred, her voice a smooth alto. Her movements were a light sway, but definately the walk of a practiced hunter. But her lazy look did not suggest any ill-will towards the maned wolf. "Isn't it a little late to be out with children, dear?" she asked with mild amusement and curiousity.

Amaterasu smiled back to the leopard. She couldn't get over how smooth the female's movements were, how silently her paws fell. "It is a bit late," Ammy said with a slight shake in her voice, "I was just on my way home, I lost track of time," Ammy smiled. She could always still run. She wasn't so fat yet that she didn't stand a chance if the leopard decided to turn hungry. "I'm Amaterasu, Ammy for short, if you wish," Amaterasu offered. Maybe the leopard could befriend her."What's your name?"

"I am called Nuhusi," she purred in the proper greeting for her beliefs. She stretched her yaws in a yawn, feeling her whiskers lift in the process. She then stopped a few feet from Amaterasu and settled back on her haunches in a relaxed fashion. It was still completely obvious she had no thread, but Nuhusi wasn't one to try and force Ammy to see it as such. If she didn't believe so then that was her choice.

Ammy relaxed a bit at the leopardess' relaxed poise. "I'm sorry," Ammy said, apologizing for her obvious fear, "I've never met a leopard before. Do all leopards move as smoothly as you?" Amaterasu asked, tilting her head and feeling very much like a pup. How could any creature have such liquid movements? It was so alien to her, the way the leopard had moved. It was beautiful to watch, Ammy had to admit.

Nuhusi grinned just as smoothly as she moved, her gold eyes glittering with amusement. "Well I suppose so....it's a bit of a trait of our species though I'd like to believe..." She rolled her shoulders and stretched out her forlegs to relax her muscles, "...that I'm a very elegent lass." She offered Amaterasu an encouraging wink as she curled her tail. She was pregnant so she had to know something about female charm, after all.

Ammy smiled and nodded. "I'm certain it's the latter," she said happily. She had relaxed completely now. Such desensitization was good for her, she thought. When she first arrived in the Pridelands, she had been jumpy at all sorts of species, and now she was ok with many different creatures. She could add leopards to that list.

Nuhusi smiled at her, amused by her readiness to agree. Well...she supposed it was nice to be flattered once and a while. With a gentle flick of her tail she asked casually, "Is the father with you...? Or you staking it out on your own, a woman's independence...?" The questions weren't meant to offend, and it was obvious by her nature that if Ammy thought them so she needn't answer. It was just conversation.

"The rotten father ran out on me!" Amaterasu practically screamed. The topic brought instantaneous rage at the male. It usually surprised everyone who was present for the explosion. "He told me he'd stay, and help raise the pups. No, he stayed to get what he wanted and ran," Ammy said, slowly cooling off. "I did want a family, but I wanted a family with a father. I'll be glad to have the pups, but... I really wish I had a mate to help me out," Ammy finished, her rage completely emptied from her again. She looked up to see how the leopard would react, an apology ready.

Nuhusi just let Ammy rage, looking unphased by the change in volume. Her ears did move to the side slightly to block out a bit of the sound, but otherwise she remained as calm and casual as ever. When she was sure the maned wolf was quite done she said, "Mm...typical men. Not that I'm really one to criticize." Really she was the worst one to talk about such matters, since she was rather...loose in her affections with males. "I'm sorry though. Hopefully it won't be too hard...I've heard these lands are pretty lush, which might make it easier," she rolled her shoulders in a silky shrug. It wasn't that she didn't care. She just...wasn't really interested? Or an expert either.

Amaterasu was glad Nuhusi wasn't mad at her outbreak. Where she was born, such an explosion have warrented horrible treatment from the pack for about a week.
Ammy was surprisingly ok with her loose attitude. Ammy herself was pretty laid-back, herself, but this was a new kind of laid back.If all the animals could take a lesson from leopards, there woudn't be much stress, Amaterasu thought, remembering to keep it in the back of her head. Such calmness seemed like a highly desirable trait to have.
Ammy nodded to her reaction. "I've managed so far, I'm sure I'll get through it ok," she said
