Hoshi-san, what did you use to make the costume? and I just love Kurama-kun straped to your belt.
4laugh That is a goooooood question, cause I almost don't remember... Let me start from the top though.
The hat:
A black visor with cardboard glued onto it spray painted back and cut to shape. For the buckle, gold beads and the Wig had two hair bands on the pony tail to help make it stand up(didn't work too well) then two smaller hair bands and clips to make the "ear tails" stay in place.
The vest:
I bought a black sweater, seam ripped the sleeves off then cut them up to make them look rough and torn. I then cut down the front of the shirt and laced it back together with shoe string to make the effect of it being crudely tied together.
The pants and "skirt"
Well the pants were a find at the thrift shop as was the "skirt." Actually that white part was a REALLY lucky find because it was actually part of a peticoat for another costume they were selling seperaetly. It already had the elastic in it and all I had to do was make the cut up the side. The belts were also bought.
The wings, pendant and ribbon for the arms were all also bought.
Complications with the costume:
The ribbon! Oh god that ribbon was DEATH! I had to hold it on with double CARPET TAPE! YOu can only imagine the pain of getting it of every day, my arms were raw by the end of the con! Kurama, the darling little thing on me was also an issue. He liked to slide down my belt and nestle his face into my crotch >< I couldn't feel it either so I never noticed until I got disgusted looks cast at me. Don't get me wrong I like yaoi and suff but that was EMBARRASSING.
Plans for the costume in the future.
LEATHER! All leather. The pants the vest and the covering on the hat. Also I am going to find a belt buckle that looks more like Kuronue's and fix the buckle on the hat, possible make it out of femo. I already have the larger pendant ^^.
