new account, new world, new character, new adventure.
After a six month hiatus from Maple Story I have returned, creating a new character in Bellocan. I want to see how long I can keep this up, mainly because I'm trying a mage and my old character was a warrior. I thought that I would chronicle my efforts and progress.

Well I've only been playing a little while now, and I'm up to level 7.
I'm going to aim to become a mage by the end of tonight, and theres a long time, so I should get there easy peasy.
Once I get there I'll make another update. I haven't really achieved anything as of yet.

Today:
o. Left Maple Island
o. Became a mage
o. Reached level 10
For some reason Maple disconnected me when I was level 7, and I haven't been able to get back on until today (after uninstalling and then re-installing). but now I'm back: better than ever!
I got to level 8 then left Maple Island and became a mage.
I bought some pots and that and headed for Lith Harbour, looking for a place to train. I decided to train until I could 2 hit Slimes, and I thought the best place was 'Right Around Lith Harbour', because there are usually 1-2 slimes there and red/blue snails so I thought it was good.
I am currently level 10, and I'm going to play later on tonight, hopefully getting to level 15 by the end of tonight.
I can 3 hit slimes most of the time now, so I think next level I should be able to 2 hit them, and as soon as I can do that I'm moving to the Slime Tree :]
Oh, and I can't choose between I/L and F/P. I'm leaning towards I/L because of it's mob attack, but about five minutes ago I was leaning towards F/P. So I don't know.

you should be a cleric, you can heal (no using hp pots) and you can heal zombie mushrooms which kill them fast, its a major mob attack! oh, and if you want this post deleted, tell me

Yeah I was thinking of going for a cleric, but then once you get to 3rd job (sorry if) you pretty much can ONLY party, and whilst I do like partying (lol), I would like it if I could solo a little.
I probably sound really stupid and all that, because I make no sense >.<;
but yeah, I have 20 levels to think about it so I'm not sure. Maybe cleric is the way to go?
More opinions please!

there are so many undead creatures as you go though, alot in ludibrium whihc you can level on at like level 40, zombie mushies at level 30. When they heal, they heal themselves as well as attack 4 z. mushies around them! and if your not fighting unholy monsters, magic claw should be maxed and strong and you have that semi-useless bow attack... dude i tried lightning mage, really hard to do because most guides say that you should level your ice attack first and keep lightning till like at the end! and if you do lightning first, you have to level it to like level 7 or so until you can train on regular mushrooms!

hmm i guess cleric sounds easier then.
i think i will just go for that then.
Update:
Stupid Maple, it's doing what it did before again!
I can't goddamn start the game up; it just says connecting and never connects!
It's pissing me off. gonk
I tried uninstalling and re-installing but it didn't work.
I'm really, really angry cause I want to play!
Does anyone know how to fix it?

its a server check, it doesnt let you log on until its done, for me they do it at night so I just sleep and when I wake up they're done.

Ah okay, I thought they announced that on the site?
Anyways, I got on and I've been playing today.
I am at level 14, at about 60% so I should soon get to level 15 :]
Also, I am now pretty sure I'm going to be a cleric, the lack of a need to buy HP pots will be soo good.

When you are playing, if they are about to have a server check, theres a black bar at the top of the screen and it says like " We will be having a server check from 11:00 PM to 1:00 AM. Please log off safely. " Something like that.

Achievements:
Reached level 25
Got over 300k
Finished the Maya and the Weird Medicine Quest
Long time no post.
I went on holidays for a while, and since then I have been playing a lot.
I am up to level 26, and am at about 60%.
I will make another update later tonight.

cleric lvl is annoing from lvl 30-38ish u only got MC also clerics heal is
only good for healin in early lvl it only becomes deadly to zombies at lvl
20 or so + most vic train spots are over ran by hackers ludi monsters are
only EZly killed at LVL 42+ warths and cronons pltoon and master cronos
are the only things u can kill till lvl 70+. traing is equily hard for wiz and
clercis also wizards have 2 choices a t lvl 45 where to train PQ or killin
kittens ice mage mulit hit is good but if u max it u become less weak later
fire mages get a strong multi hit in 3rd job also clerics are stuck with killin
zombies for there who lives unless u are will to depend on other to lvl in
partys also clerics make quite a bit of munny with rare drops and such
ester shealds, mytick shealds, and saved pot munny also clerics are a
good starter Char thay can fund other Char if u shoose PM me if u dont
rely under stand me
