The movie room is one of many rooms within the Orphanage. comprised of a long couch and several comfortable chairs surrounding quite an extensively large widescreen TV. There are dozens of DVDs and CDs stacked in the media center, and a radio for times when you aren't in the mood for TV.
The roleplay within it is semi-open to others as long as those already in the room are okay with it. Please ask permission in PM to whoever is using the room at the moment, so as not to cause conflict. <3

Adghal had brought Tomoyo and his son back to the Orphanage by flight that morning, as requested. Once they had landed at the front of the Orphanage, Adghal plucked the child out of Tomoyo's arms, set him on his feet, and let go.
He was determined to see the boy walk.
Damien was determined otherwise. His legs flopped like jelly, and he crumbled to the ground, immediately speeding off as he crawled inside and down the hall. Of course, his parents would follow closely, but it wasn't really what Adghal wanted..
"He's just being stubborn. I know for a fact I was walking at that age, and any good demon child should be. I'm not raising a lazy child, damnit.." He muttered to himself as he followed the speeding bullet down the hall, until he turned a sharp corner into the movie room and dissappeared.
Adghal hurried his steps, stopping in the doorway and looking around. It was empty at the moment, and looked relatively devoid of anything that could hurt the boy..
Unless the huge widescreen fell on him for some god forsaken reason.
"Damien, where did you go?"
There wasn't much of a choice, he was either hiding under the couch, or the other plush chairs in the room. Still, Adghal didn't go after him, he crossed his arms and fully expected the boy to come out of his hiding place. Walking.

"A-Adghal!"
Tomoyo bit her inner cheek from saying any more and sighed, eyes raising to brush over the sky before she set them back upon her husband and child. It seemed every where they had gone with Damien, the same actions were pulled - including the child's refusal to o what his father wanted. The catgirl had a faint inkling that he may have been doing it purposefully, seeing as he adopted a very imp-like face whenever he crawled off. The thought made her giggle, and she lifted a hand to her lips, head shaking.
"Must be my blood that made him lazy, then," she sang playfully, following them into the orphanage and down the hall. She stopped behind him and leaned forward, peering into the room. Where had he baby gone? She felt a brief wave of panic, and unlike Adghal, saw everything as a possible hazard. Even the pillows thrown upon the couches!
"Damien?" she called, slipping past the demon to walk into the room, hands folded against her chest. If she were a baby, where would she be? A demon baby that is. Who had a doubled curiosity due to his mixed blood...
A high-pitched squeal of delight sounded from somewhere in the corner followed by a tiny sneeze. Tomoyo giggled and crushed her worry, edging forward with her back bent and her hands folded behind her.
"Oh, Damien~" she cooed.

Adghal moved to let his wife pass, smirking faintly as he closed the door silently behind him. "You are not lazy, love." He murmured under his breath, helplessly thinking back to all of the times she had proven to him how un-lazy she really was. He heard the squeal just as she, and as Tomoyo went after the boy, Adghal moved to flop down on the couch, lifting his legs up to stretch out on the length of it as if he owned the damn thing.
It was a little odd, being back at the Orphanage, where they had met and where he had first been brought into this world. It always seemed to cheery, and he always felt so out of place within it. But now, with his wife and son here, it almost felt like home. Well.. as close to home as anywhere would feel. As long as Tomoyo was there, a rock would have felt like home.
"Let's put him in a box and ship him off to another country. Then maybe he'll learn to fly so he can come back home." Adghal's eyes closed and he grinned deviously at his little comment, more than assured that Damien would hear it and understand, though it wouldn't scare the boy in the slightest. Adghal just enjoyed teasing him - especially when he was being stubborn.

The child did indeed hear it, and from his hiding place he let out an indignant mewl. Tomoyo laughed gently and straightened, looking over her shoulder at Adghal, who was stretched languidly over the couch.
"Yes, or he would stay in that country just to spite you," she poked, smiling. She kept up the relentless hunt for her son, ears catching every noise he made; rest assured she knew where he was, but she wanted to make a game out of this. Tomoyo tip-toed over to couch on the other side of the room and bent to catch the skirt surrounding it.
"Is he...under here!" she lifted the fabric up quickly and gasped, placing one hand over her lips as she heard a giggle resound in the room. "Guess not~"
Her tail flicked as she migrated slowly around the room, looking couches and behind them, making sure to choose all the wrong ones. Damien watched from a corner couch, delighted at his mother's antics. She was so silly! He really had chosen a good hiding place! He never be found.
"Oh dear," Tomoyo sighed, feigning failure. "I suppose we'll just have to...dress Ruka up and make him stand in for our son!"
She sighed again loudly and took a heavy seat on Adghal's stomach, hiding a smile behind her hand.

Adghal's smirk dropped to a frown for just a moment as she mentioned him staying in that country. Why? Because she was probably right. "Mm.. then we'll send him somewhere cold.. frozen. Then if he stays there out of spite.. I believe he'll learn the lesson more than I." He snorted softly, half-listening to his wife walk around feigning a search for their son. It was so comfortable there, at that very moment, so peaceful and .. just plain nice. He loved having a family, he admitted to himself. He loved them so much.
Until they sat on his stomach.
"Augh-" He grunted as Tomoyo dropped on his stomach, sending him shooting up in a half-seated position. His arms instinctively wrapped around her to pick her up in them, taking her weight off of his stomach and now possibly crushed liver. He gave her a flushed, wry look, almost baring his teeth mischievously. "Very funny, Tomoyo." He growled playfully.
He slowly dropped back down, his arms sliding limp around her and pulling back until just his hands rested around her body, just barely touching it. His eyes closed once more, letting the feeling of squished liver subside.
"Ruka will make a fine son," He belatedly announced. "He will walk and fly and kill at my request." All fine traits in a son, he was sure.

She smiled at him sweetly, eyes shutting with amusement as her tail curled around her body.
She felt guilty for trying to make Damien jealous; she would never try and replace her own baby! But...children were naive and what they didn't know wouldn't hurt them. She tapped her cheek and nodded to Adghal's words, before she stopped and shot him a surprised look.
"All save for the latter, he means," she corrected, reaching out and giving the demon's nose a tap. She wasn't going to have her son killing anything - well, save for maybe bugs and he already got a kick out of that. She was hoping he'd grow out of pulling the legs off of beetles, though...
Damien gave a disgruntled gurgle and peeked out from behind his hiding place. His mommy and daddy weren't really thinking about replacing him, right? They were fibbing...they had to be! He was the perfect child according to them both. He blew a raspberry and ducked back behind the couch.
"Oh, and it's so conveniant seeing as Ruka can already fly and walk..." she breathed wistfully, watching the area her son sat hidden in hopes of a more positive reaction.

Adghal kept a hidden smile to himself at Tomoyo's reaction, neither agreeing nor disagreeing, simply letting her be the mother that she was. His eyes opened slowly to slits, watching her carefully. His hand lifted to brush the back of his fingers against her arm lightly, stopping for a moment when he heard his son's raspberry and snickering at the sound.
"Not to mention talk. So perhaps we should find Damien now and get him ready for the box to send him away." He leaned up and brushed his lips against the skin of his wife's arm, before kissing it softly with a devious glint in his eyes.
"Unless, of course, he walks over here right this minute."
Adghal didn't really expect the boy to listen, but if there was ever a perfect time for it, this would have been the one. He curved slightly around his wife, his arms once more snaking around in a loose hold.
Learning to walk would be the easy part, despite how hard Damien was making it seem. But Adghal would get his revenge on the boy, oh yes.. once it was time to learn to fly. There would be no stubbornness then.. he would just drop him off a cliff.
Now that is the way to learn.

She let out a sound of amusement at his words, and a quiet purr at his kiss, which caused a pleasant tingle to run alongst her arm. She took her lower lip into her mouth and nodded, ears flicking back.
"Oh my, but I don't want to pay shipping. Maybe we can give him to some pirates," she said thoughtfully, brow furrowing. "Or you could just drop him off..."
Tomoyo averted her gaze away from the spot her child sat and looked at Adghal, smiling.
Damien cross his chubby arms stubbornly and glared at the wall, trying not to believe all the words comng from his parent's mouths. They were crazy if they were going to try to get rid of him! His stubby tail bristled as he huffed, scooting further into the gloom he had decided to sit in. See if they could replace him!
It wasn't working? She soldiered on. "Ruka is so much more compliant! I'm sure he would help mommy."
That did it! The little tot got onto his hands and knees and began to crawl from his hiding place, preparing to give his parent's a piece of his mind - in the form of shrieks and wails, but still...

Adghal saw a streak of purple and black headed their way, and was both amused and dissappointed at the same time. Still, at least they'd gotten a reaction out of him, and there he came crawling their way like a little steam train. He was moments away from attacking his mother's leg when Adghal leaned down and scooped the indignant little demoncat up in his arms, curving to drop him squarely in his mothers and his lap. "Ahah.. look what I caught." He pronounced, leaning down to look Damien in the eye.
The boy glared, before giving him another lively raspberry. Only this one was right in his father's face. Adghal winced at the spray, reaching up to wipe his face.
".. Perhaps I should throw him back."
Damien reached out with chubby fingers to cling to his mother's shirt tightly, pouting. There would be no getting rid of him, not if he had anything to say about it.
Of course, he didn't have anything to say about anything, out loud at least.
Adghal grinned down at his son, brushing his hand across the tufts of purple bangs that scattered around his forehead. The boy tried to brush him off at first, but once his clawed swipes were sufficiently ignored, he rested his head on his mother's body and allowed for said petting to continue. His father was lucky he liked him.

Tomoyo clapped her hands, delighted, as Damien was plunked into her lap. Poor baby, she hoped he wasn't too mad.
Phbbbt!
She supposed not.
She thrust her lip out in a pout and drew Damien close, rubbing her nose against his downy hair affectionately. Her tail unraveled and draped around the child as she coddled him, having no intention to give him away at all! And as she began to purr lovingly, she heard a return purr, though somewhat broken and small.
Tomoyo laughed and pulled back a bit, watching her child and husband with a look of barely suppressed joy. She was surprised and comforted in times like these, surprised at the way her eyes would well with tears, and comforted by the love and security she felt in in her family's presence. She shut her eyes and took a soft breath, hand gently grasping for Damien's tiny one.
"I suppose he'll walk when he wants to...I bet he's just holding out on us, aren't you?" Tomoyo looked into eyes that mirrored her own and almost laughed again.
The little impling was indeed holdng out!

Listening to the two of them purr was almost unbearably cute for Adghal. In fact, it may have been a little too cute. As much as he loved them, it was starting to sound like he was caring for a litter of kittens rather than a family. Perhaps if he was a woman, or .. not a demon, he would have enjoyed this more. He knew he enjoyed listening to Tomoyo purr, but.. only when it was he that was causing it.
"All right you little shrimp, I think we need to try your legs out again." Adghal curled his arms around the boy and pulled him away from his mother, who clung desperately to the shirt. Adghal stopped for a moment, and tenderly removed each embedded claw from the shirt it had buried itself into so as not to hurt Tomoyo, before bouncing the boy in his arms and giving him a stern look.
"I know you can do this, Damien."
Adghal was certainly turning out to be the kind of father that put a lot of expectancy on his child's shoulders, and strove to make sure he did his very best at achieving those expectations.
He set Damien down on the floor, but held onto his arms, so that the boy could not flop down. While holding both arms, he nudged the boy to take a few steps.
"Come on, you've got to make your legs strong."
Damien could walk while his father held him up like this, he simply.. didn't feel like it. It was tiring, and pointless when he could move so much faster in a crawl. Not to mention he enjoyed being carried around like a little prince..
But his father was insistant. He looked up at the man, round eyes staring for a moment, before turning back down and taking a shaky step.

Tomoyo mewled helplessly at having her child taken away, brows dipping. She always seemed to do it when he was pulled from her arms...and him clinging to her didn't help the situation. She really was a doting mother, and could rarely go five minutes without coddling her child. That is...unless Adghal had her otherwise distracted. She dropped her hands into her lap and smiled at the humor in that thought.
The scene unfolding out before was too cute! Kodak moment, most definately...if only she had a video recorder! The catgirl faintly smiled and leaned back, her hands folding neatly as she watched the two. There was something about seeing your husband holding your son, helping him, that gave you a warm feeling in the core of your being. Yes, she thought. This was indeed a beautiful moment.
Though not so much for poor Damien.
The little boy made to yowl but midway there, decided that such a noise didn't befit this moment. Was there any way to possibly escape the evil clutches of his father? There had to be! And indeed there was. After his first step, Damien paused and simply stood there, allowing his father to support him fully. And then...he bounced. Yes, with a gurgle the boy began to bend and straighten his knees, appearing something akin to a bobbing oompa loompa.
Only much cuter.
"Oh, Damien!" Tomoyo laughed, one hand covering her face. The little boy squealed with delight and looked up to see his father's reaction. After a no doubt pleasing sight, the little boy took another lazy step forward.

"What are you doing, boy?" Adghal murmured with annoyance, watching the boy dance. He rolled his eyes when he received that mischievous grin, but his hands did not let go. "I hear no music. There is a time for dancing, and a time for walking.. this is the time for walking."
Still, even Adghal couldn't help but find his son's antics cute.
He led his boy in a step or two, eventually passing the couch and beginning a walk around the table. Damien's legs were stronger than he feigned them to be, simply because it was fun to be led around like this, and even more fun to be carried around. Why spoil a good thing? Still, there was a matter of pride to think of, and if everyone else in this world walked around, Damien knew eventually he would have to do it as well. And better than them, to boot.
"Damien, pay attention." Adghal mumbled softly as the boy's legs wobbled while he was deep in thought. "Good.. good boy."
Perhaps it was hearing his father calling him 'good' that spurned his pride, as he was still young enough to helplessly crave that kind of acknowledgement. All he knew was, as they turned the corner and headed back toward Tomoyo, Damien's mind had changed about the entire situation. His brow narrowed in defiance, and he stuck his head up to bite his father's hand, hard. Adghal pulled back in reflex, letting the boy go.
"Ow.. what was that for?!"

For making me do this! he would no doubtedly retort had he been able to speak.
Damien wobbled a bit, arms falling after his father had let go. Okay, so he felt a bit unbalanced without his father's support, but he was sure he could remedy that. Without even looking over his shoulder to his father, Damien blew a raspberry and stretched his tiny wings out to get the upper hand at the balance he had lost.
And then he just...stood there. But not for long. Well, this height was nice...he hadn't really been paying attention when his father lead him around. With a vantage point like this one, he could see more, reach more...and reaching meant grabbing. Oh yes, Damien could get his grubby little paws on anything now!
And anyway, he wanted to show his father that he really was a good boy. When he wanted to be.
Tomoyo slid off the couch to sit unceremoniously upon the ground, her hands resting upon her knees. Her vibrant, green eyes glowed with delight as she saw her child standing on his own, curiously looking about as though lost in thought. She lifted a hand to her lips, anticipating his first step and stretched her arms out as if to coax him.
"Daddy's right! Damien is a good boy," she said affectionately, smiling at her child as he looked over at her. He grinned; he knew he was.
And then he toddled forward, a bit pigeon footed, but it was walking nonetheless. He squealed with triumph and quickened his step, gaining upon his mother who seemed beside herself with joy.
Beat that, pops!
