As the last star of the morning dissapeared down her muzzle, or at least what she thought was a star and was really just some really random floating white thing, Temari stood and looked at the rest. It was probably a feather of some sort, but she didn't notice. To Temari everything looked the same, everything was weird, everything was different.

If she'd been on acid the world would probably have looked the same, but the tiny female wild dog was in fact not. She had iron burning her from the inside out.

And it was time to go.

Lifting her blood stained muzzle, blood that was stained as her own, the female let out a strange hyena-like giggle and sniffed around. The wind was blowing her gold and white fur in every direction, not telling her where she was really supposed to go.

"Well... time to see where father time wants me... or was that mother winter or... whaaaaaaaaa.... dunnoooo." Her head leaned to one side and she giggled again. "s'time ta go."

A smile spread over her muzzle and Temari started to trot out onto the savannah, not even questioning that she was leaving for no real apparant reason, probably just to die.

Tahupotiki had been watching his mother from afar, distressed at her condition, but unable to make himself get any closer then a few hundred feet. She was not right. And he was not right. Stress was a hard burden when one didn't know what to do, and when one was watching their family fall apart.

Rye and Jamaa were getting worse. And Poki couldn't remember the last time he had seen his other brothers. Everything was breaking slowly, but so fast it didn't seem fair.

He set his head down for only a moment, to 'rest his eyes' from watching Temari. He only seemed to have had them closed for a few moments when he heard mumbling and a rustle. His eyes shot open and ears perked. Jumping up he saw his mother walking further away from the Mpinzani lands.

"Uuuhmms...." The noise escaped his maw quietly. Tahu bolted forward a few paces, but slowed, still quiet unsure of what to do. He called to her loudly, hoping it would stop her. "Grroooog! Tmmmmreeeee!"

Now what was that?

Leaning her head to the side, Temari glanced back at the carbon copy male standing a few paces away. It was like looking into a mirror... almost. Green eyes and one more obvious difference were... well obvious.

"Whoooo are you?" Her tongue lolled out the side of her soft muzzle, showing how sick she was just because it was dry and white. Pink was supposed to be on there, but no... not here.

"I'mma go now." She said, her eyes listed over and her muzzle wide in a smile.

Turning and trotting away at a stumbling pace, not her normal crisp one that she always had.

Tahu was stunned at her apearence. He just... stared. Mouth agape, and eyes filled with some undescribable hororr. It was worse then he had thought, worse then he ever thought it could have been. She had gone totaly crazy?! She didn't even recognize her oldest son! He felt his heart pain at what seemed to be the loss of one of the only beings that understood him.

She was lost, it seemed. And what was he to do? He was just a mute. A stupid mute who ate bugs and only purred.

But that wasn't how it was going to go. Not on his clock. Tahu lurched forward again, words atempting to come from his mouth, but failing.

"Mmmrooothrrrs! Nnyyyoooosssgpurrr..." He said, blocking her way from going anyfarther away from their home lands. He would not let her go off to die, as it seemed was her only purpose of wandering off. It would not happen to her. It would not happen!

Her eyes narrowed sharply at the male before her. What was he doing? Was he blocking her way?

Temari didn't like that one bit, her hackles rose slowly and she pulled her muzzle back away from her red teeth. "Gerroutta my way punk."

Her words were incredibly slurred. Temari would have rather walked around the male and just kept going then have had to deal with this. She tried it, she tried to trot over to his side. Maybe he'd just let her go, maybe he'd just simply let her pass without her having to hurt him.

Tahu shook his head violently and stood his ground. He wouldn't let her go! Wouldn't let her out of his sights! She wouldn't leave him, or her family. She couldn't, but her eyes started to scare him. How could she be like this? Tahu started to shake, he felt light headed and sick to his stumack.

"Nnnyyyuuuuoooorrr." He said, his voice quivering unvolenterily, trying to keep his feet from taking him back to a safe distance.

Instantly something snapped inside of Temari's mind and her teeth lashed out, grabbing the male by the muzzle and flipping him to the ground. She was small but she had an incredible amount of muscle, something her children hadn't inherited from her.

Blood flowed down her muzzle as she broke skin with one of her fangs, marking her carbon copy in the exact same spot as she'd once marked her mate. A tear slowly slid down her cheek without her even noticing and the female whirrled to run off again.

Thanks to her sickness, Temari couldn't get up to her normal speed. This was the only thing that would bless her son if he really wanted her, because she stumbled and nearly fell every few strides.

As Tahupotiki fell to the ground, he felt the hotness of blood on his muzzle. His eyes were closed tight as he wimpered on the ground. Had his mother... his mother just done that to him?

Opening his eyes he stared blankly as his mother ran away, slowly. She wasn't right. She wouldn't do this to him if she was right. He had to keep up with her, Tahu decided. Shaking with fear and anxioty, he picked himself up from the ground. If she left, she would die, he knew that. But there was no way he could stop her. He... he had to stop her, though!

"Mmmm.." he wimpered, words trying to jump from his mouth. "Mmaa.. Maatthh... Matthhher!!!" Tahu cried as he ran twards his mother. "Mmmooothhher! Mother!" He said with more distiction, and surprise. Had he just spoke?

Yes! Yes he had! He sudenly felt like doing it again. "Mother! Mother!

Words reached her mind and some part of Temari's deeper conscience screamed in joy for the fact that her oldest pup had finally spoken. Something inside of her swirled and she stopped, turning to look back at him with a listless semi-conscience smile for his words. She didn't understand on some level, she didn't get it, she didn't understand... she would never understand.

"Poki...." And suddenly she toppled over, blood spurting from her muzzle with such an incredible force that she hacked and curled up in a ball.

No, she had to find him, she had to find Jamaa before she died. She'd promised him so many months ago... she'd promised him that she'd find him. She had to... she had to find Jamaa!

Flinging herself up off of the ground, the female shot off away from her son, not knowing it was him... not ever knowing. Would she ever know who that male was? Probably not, the fox didn't want her to after all so it darted away and she chased after with shaky feet.

"Mother! Mother!" His first word. He had always been able to speak, but something had always prevented it. His Sister silenced him. His mother brought his voice to the surface. Tahu kept on his mother's tail. She would not go from his sight, not this time. She wouldn't die...

He could feel the sting of air pushing against the wounds on his muzzle. The hot blood slowly ran down to his mouth, and he winced, tasting his own blood. He pushed his wound from his mind...

Where was mother going? She was running in such... odd paterns. Was she chasing comething? If she was, he couldn't see it. It didn't mater, if she was, he just needed to keep up with her.
