Johnny Dash. A ten-year-old boy from the 1940s with super speed and the ability to throw lightning bolts. And also to travel through time (which is why he's from the 1940s but in the modern world), but he can't control that; it's just something that happens when he runs too fast.
He's kind of a homage to two characters I'm rather fond of: the original Flash, and a character in a British comic called Billy Whizz, who's also a kid with super speed, who uses his powers to muck around rather than to fight crime or anything. Johnny's just your typical little kid playing at being a hero, who actually got his wish but isn't aware of the dangers and difficulties of doing it for real.
