Hello all! i have a question to pose about the first book, Twilight.
after Bella get captured and bitten, Edward has to suck the blood poisen out of her system......therefore drinking some of Bella's blood. (if that didnt even happen, like him swallowing the bllod, then this question is completely useless) So he drank the blood, right?
If he did, then, well, shouldnt his eyes have been red for a little bit before returning to topaz after the incident happened????
or did i misread and this actually happened?

That is a good question. o_o
I think that what Edward sucked out was mostly venom, though of course he had to get Bella's blood in the mix, too. Except, I think that out of respect and disgust of drinking Bella's blood (not disgust at her or the taste, but at him for drinking his love's blood) he would spit it out. While he probably swallowed at least a tiny bit, it was so insignificant it wouldn't do anything to his eyes.
I think that makes sense, anyway. xD

i think he swallowed it he just didn't get enough to turn his eyes red that probly takes a bit to do that

Maybe he sucked the poisen and then spit it out. You know? Like they do with snake posien. Because drinking and swallowing her blood would be a little too much for him, I think.

My guess is he didnt drank much so the red that might have been there was gone by the time Bella woke up

LoL, I was gonna comment, but I decided to read people's posts first, and I realized it would be kinda pointless to post afterwards xd
Everyone already said what I was gonna say xd
But I do it anyways, because I have nothing better to do. rolleyes
Either:
1 - His eyes got back to normal after a few days, the time Bella was sleeping.
2 - He didn't drink that much of human blood for his eyes to actually turn red, or THAT much red, for that matter.
3 - He went hunting afterwards, which took the little red he had in his eyes away.
I personally don't think just a few spoonfulls of human blood would have enough power to turn a vampire's eyes red. confused
I think he'd have to drink all the person's blood.
But I don't think Edward spit it out. He told her constantly how difficult it was to not keep drinking, remember? (ok, maybe I DO know every single word of the book... sweatdrop )
He said he had forced himself to stop, somehow.
I'm sure he swallowed the little he sucked.
