((Caden can be here for whatever reason, and we all know why the trio of justice is here. >>))
The doors to D-corp were being pushed open, revealing a familiar black haired girl in a plaid skirt, two boxes were piled into her arms, a grocery bag filled with various wires all trying to pop out the top or those growing holes in the bottum. For whatever reason she was trying to carry these in backwards, she was failing at it. She turned as she made it through the door, the glasses practically hanging off her face now took that last inch towards falling, landing with a tap against the tiled floor... The large brown cubes soon following it in the fall, which landed with much much more than a mere tap.
Frowning, the girl dropped to her knees, blindly groping the ground for the glasses and... there! Grabbing hold of them, she lifted the object back to her eyes, looking up as a few figures came into focus.. Two of which she recognized. Those sweet brothers from the last time she was here! "Hey!" She greeted with a smile, scooting forward to start gathering the boxes. "Good thing these weren't breakable..."

Keanu obviously had learned little from his last run in with the techs. He hadn't taken any advice and was back to plotting how to get the information he needed. Where those people where located, where to find them. Names. Well anything that would help in the search for them. The leopard didn't look like he'd even had a run only a few days before. Rather he was walking along casually while paying minor attention to the conversation and thinking about the task at hand.
How to get up there without being caught again?
He lightly scratched the Ymir on the head as he tried to figure out a plan. That was when he spotted a hazard waiting to happen. Or, too late. It already happened. He quickly rushed over toward the black haired girl with the pale dragon following closely behind. "Are you alright miss." Obviously she knew Paxton from the way she'd greeted him. bonus points for her, but she couldn't carrying things if it was too much for her.
"You should be more careful, ma'am." Even if things weren't breakable. "You wouldn't want to accidentally hurt yourself carrying those. If you'd like I can carry them for you."

"No! Not Ella...Paxton, P a x - t o n, you get it?" Boy, had the lovebird picked up the wrong little buddy to hang out with. Well, not really hang out...more like so far now they had run into each other twice. Except, unlike the other times, Paxton was here with purpose. ...To keep Keanu in--"Ugh! Where are you--"
Hotly, Paxton's eyes turned to watch where his friend ran off to in such a hurry. Surprise, surprise, he was helping a certain young woman who seemed to be having quite a bit of..."Mary?"
Shuffling over, Paxton left the lion cub to fend for himself. "So I take it you got the job?" The lovebird said as he leaned down to help.

The bull boy ground his teeth as he charged down the sidewalk, both ears pinned back against his head. He was tricked! TRICKED! Shots weren't guns, far from it. Not only had he been darted and hauled back, grounded, and forced to do Edan's chores, he'd been darted AGAIN and had needles put into his skin. He had a few cottonballs and sticky tape over where he'd been pricked. It'd been a few days since then but still he refused to take them off, afraid that they'd bleed out and he'd die a horrible death...all thanks to needles.
He'd gotten out of chores, Edan was far too gullable. With Winter still at work he had the whole day to play... or in this case beat something to a pulp to release some of that tension.
He skidded to an akward stop there on the sidewalk and turned to look towards the D-corp building. Keanu... and Paxton. He'd not seen either of them since he'd been grounded. Maybe they both got into some serious heat too. Good to see them out though. "Howdy!" He waved a hand towards them. Sure they were busy but never too busy for a greeting right?

"But Ella-" he started, but Paxton had already caught sight of someone else and had taken off in that direction. Caden had been following the lovebird around for most of the day already, and with a sigh, he trotted gamely after him. Yes, he was lazy and hated doing anything, but he hated being bored even more. The lion's ears perked up as he saw a familiar female. "It's Mary!" he purred and hurried forward to greet her, but he stopped short when he caught sight of Keanu. He stood stock still for a moment, then a sly smile spread over his features and he marched up to the group with a confident stride. The other cat didn't look nearly as big and tough as Caden remembered him.

Mary blinked, wow, the kids around here must have been the sweetest bunch ever. She heard a few.. stories when applying, but so far everyone had been more than helpul.
"Oh no.. I mean.. Thankyou." She gave Keanu a big grin, laughing alittle at his use of "ma'am" "What a little gentleman." She noted, "I only had to move them into the front though... Then I get a room upstairs. " She paused looking up at Paxton. "Ah, yea! I'm real excited. Though... A real shame about the boss." She lost her smile at that, frowning alittle. "I was hoping to meet him but... heh." She shrugged, picking up one of the boxes to start moving it out of the pathway and closer to the reception desk, letting Keanu get the spare one if he wanted, if not she'd just come back for it.
Next step... The elevator. She went to push the button, but instead found a little "out of service" light lit up. The rest were the same, so with a little frown, she shrugged and turned back to the small group. "Not working, I guess."

Keanu was more than happy to oblige, quickly plucking up the spare box to follow up and set it near the desk. As the woman mentioned the boss his mood dropped a bit. That was right, he was dead. Though it only lasted a moment before the ever cliche grin drew across his face. "Don't worry. It won't happen to anyone else again." Best not to say why since the cameras might be on. He didn't feel like being shot with one of those things again.
He glanced up as a familiar voice sounded from behind him. A brief check proved that it was who it sounded like. "Cody! Hey!" He carefully placed the box he was carrying beside the first before standing upright again.
He paused as the woman spoke up once more, a look of confusion showing on his face. The elevators always worked... unless something was wrong..?
He paused briefly starring at the lights before casting a look at Paxton then back at the elevator. Something was wrong. It couldn't just be a slight malfunction...
He shifted his weight slightly before patting the pale dragon on the head. The usual sign that it was time to pay attention, they had a goal ahead of them. Then a smile in Mary's direction. "I'll run upstairs and see if I can figure out what's wrong. It's probably just some small bug." It really couldn't be anything like that.
With that said, he quickly started toward the stair's entrance at a walk. As soon as he was out of sight he was running though, the two toned dragon following up behind him. "What's going on now?"

The ever so polite and nearly cheesy grin faltered as Mary brought up Alan. Why? Why for the loveof--at least not around Caden. Last time she had brought up Alan round Caden, Paxton had nearly pulled an ulcer contemplating the best way to keep the child happy. Comforting someone around your age is easy, you just give 'em a hug or...you know. Comforting someone younger than you---we'll you had to think alternative, that's for sure.
"Ah--" Paxton opened, only to be stopped by a loud and all to familiar sounding greeting. There would be Cody, right on time as usual---great, so the whole trio was here? That could only mean one thing….trouble. It had happened the last time they were together. Bound to happen again, wasn't it?
Well, you know what? Great. Just great. 'An to make matters worse, Keanu was flashing him this stare that just screamed, 'IMMA GO DO SOMETHING DUMB, K? THNX'. Well that was peachy, could anything else go possibly wrong...oh, besides the fact that they had company with them.
Four, three, two....ah yup, there he went. For a moment, Paxton simply stood there in disbelief. You know, if the elevator wasn't working, there was probably a good reason for it...one that you shouldn't go running into t o find out!
It wasn't immediately that Paxton followed, rather, he awoke from his strange daze of, 'Ican'tbelievethisishapening' when his beloved dragon Marigold waddled past him. "Pah-x-ten...coome..." She mumbled before heading up the stairs. Huh? --Oh yeah, make sure the best bud doesn't get himself into trouble. With a sigh the lovebird turned around and stared at the group behind him.
"Well...what are you waiting for, people? Elevators out...after him! Up the stairs." A ruffle of feathers and the boy, had vanished after Keanu.

Cody slowed his run to a casual walk as he approached the group, tipping his hat to the strange lady as he passed her by, "Ma'am." He said simply. It was only polite- you just don't enter a room with a lady and not aknowlege her like a gentlemen would. He did shoot a sharp glare at the little lion boy. Great- he was here too? Little varment always moving in on his territory and making him look dumb.
"Th' elevator ain't workin' eh?" He took off his hat to rub right inbetween his horns. "Well that leaves us with some options- we carry all them boxes up or---" He trailed off as the leopard boy turned and made for the stairs. "...well or that." He looked back to the woman, "I'mma go with him. Keep fuzzy kitten there tah keep ya company." He nodded towards the little lion before making his way after the other two.
"Why're we checkin' out th' elevator from upstairs? I mean it ain't gonna be workin' no matter what floor we go on I wouldn't think. Might be somethin' wrong with th' gears n' stuff like on tv." He smirked a bit as he clopped his way up the stairs, using the railing just in case one of his hooves slipped, "We'll all get in it an' th' cord'll snap and one of us'll hafta get out on top of it an' fight ninjas an' use their ninja ropes to slow it a'fore th' others splat."

Did they really all have to go running up the stairs like that? Cadentau, for one, would much have prefferred to take the perfectly good (well, not perfectly) elevator. He eyed the dragons suspiciously and stuck his tongue out at Cody's retreating back. Fuzzy kitten indeed. Not that it wasn't true, or that he particularly minded being fluffy, but the way the bull boy said it was indicative of an insult.
"Ninjas?" he questioned aloud as Cody's voice wafted from out of sight. Did he seriously think there would be ninjas? Caden wasn't the sharpest tool in the shed by far (and it certaintly didn't help that he tended to sleep during lessons rather than learn), but he at least had a good grasp on reality (or it might have been that he was too lazy to bother being imaginative when he didn't have to be). Sure... ninjas.. While the lionboy wasn't at all keen on helping to carry the heavy boxes anywhere, one good thing about having the others gone was fluffs and attention from Mary. Maybe, if he stalled for long enough, the elevator would start working again and he wouldn't have to carry anything anywhere. It was really a lot of trouble. He flopped his hand around in the air half-heartedly and grinned at her.
"Fuzzy Kitten says hi."

"Ah! Wait!" Mary choked a bit, watching Keanu and his group dash up the stairs... She would have followed, however she was commanded to watch Caden.
Half of her was tempted to follow, she wasn't one for being left behind, but reason argued she's just wait for the elevator to work again. No big deal. "Alright..." Defeated, she sighed, turning back to offer Caden a smile. "Fuzzy kitten, ey?" She chuckled, moving past him to find a seat on one of the couches. "How bout you keep me company while we wait for the elevator to work again?"
Meanwhile, the three muskateers didn't make it up one flight when they ran into a familiar tech. 144. He was heading upstairs, gun in hand, however, that was immediatly stopped when he saw them, moving back down to greet them with arms outstreached, however, not for a hug... More so he was using himself as a human baracade. "We're having issues with upstairs, we need you to wait in the lobby." he gave a breif pause, thinking up a lie as fast as his brain could manage. "The bombing from halloween. It's messing with s**t." yea, that worked... So maybe he wasn't the sharpest crayon in the box.

Keanu was about to head for the second floor when. He screeched to a halt starring at the familiar figure. Ymir paused behind him as well and glanced up at the person as well. He was far less quiet as he let out a growl in the man's direction. He didn't favor the man, not in the least.
Still Keanu wasn't about to start up something with 144 right now. Not with the chance of being knocked out again. He really hated that. The leopard stood quietly on the step eyeing the man until he spoke up. Was that it? Just the halloween bombing?
...
It didn't really seem to add up perfectly, but he wasn't going to fight with 144 right now. Maybe later he'd get upstairs when the man was gone. Best just to do as he said. For the moment at least.
"Oh, is that it? I'll go tell.." he paused, what had Paxton called her? "Mary." With that he turned quickly, only casting a look over his shoulder as he started stalking back down the stairs. One hand on Ymir's head until he returned to the lobby.
No, it didn't seem like a good explaination, but what else could it be? "It was the bombing back on halloween. That's why nothings working right now." He quickly said to Mary before resigning himself to waiting.
