Cualtzin was humming as he went. He had gotten the music beats the two-legers had been singing in his head. Not sure why there were so many songs between them. But they were catchy and he loved them. Snow drizzled down slowly, sticking on to other piles of snow. It was nice.
He was glad Haidar was with Tally. He knew no snow would be where they were, too many trees over, plus, Haidar made a den big enough for Tally and any expecting babies. He was over joyed. Forgetting about most things ever. He was, after all, about to be a father. How exciting!
He hadn't seen alot of his friends. Like his best friend. Though, he didn't mind, but he would really like to tell her. He continued to hum down the snowy path in the forrest. bits of snow clinging to his mane, tail, and coat. He loved the snow. It was awesome. He stuck his tounge out to eat some of the falling pieces.
Sure it was cold, but it was so awesome. How did it get so white? Where'd it come from? What was snow really?

Myoa watched snowflakes wisp around her, draping her body and the ground in a blanket of pure, innocent white mist. She sighed, deciding that she loved the snow. This was the first snowfall of the year, and she loved it. She smiled, looking down expectentantly down at her stomach. She wondered if her foals would like the snow. Would they be born in it? Oh, if they were, Myoa sure hoped that they wouldn't catch a chill. Hmm. She would need to talk to Degewi about a warm, winter den or sorts.
Myoa laughed as an especially cold snowflake landed on her nose. How she enjoyed the cool weather! It reminded her of the wind in the high altitudes, of her home. She grinned rather ruefully at the temporary useless wings. Oh sure, she was grounded, but that didn't mean that she wasn't soaring.
Staring out across the forest, Myoa's mind started to wander. Her thoughts turned to her friends. She hadn't seen some of her old acquantainces in quite some time, some of her best friends included. She had just recently been catching up with Tequila. Myoa couldn't believe it! One of her closest friends was going to be a mother with her! She smiled. She was so happy for Tequila! Tequila would be a great mother.
Now, her thoughts turned to Cualtzin. She hadn't seen her best friend in absolutely ages! Shaking her head and sighing, regretfully, this time, she wondered where he could be. He was one Soquili she would really like to share the news with. She wondered how he was, and how Tally was. She hadn't talked to Tally in what seemed like years! Myoa really had some catching up to do.

Cualtzin stopped as he heard a laugh. Well, that was odd. Ok, not really. He looked around. Perhaps it was Haidar? Nah, that was mare laugh. He smiled and looked about but only saw green and white. Well, that was odd. Where'd it come from.
His humming had stopped, and he was dead in his tracks. Nice powdery untouched snow infront of him and foot print marks behind him. He was the only one there... Or so he thought. "Hello?" He asked the air.
Perhaps it was just his humming that made him think someone else was there. He soon shruged and started to walk again. Humming coming back into his head. Eyes closed and shaking his head as he did so. Mane flopping around wildly, leaving the snow flakes to fall out.

Myoa froze as she heard a tentative hello. Closing her eyes, she searched her head for any recognition of the sound. A stallion's voice, for sure. It sounded so familar, but did it mean any harm? Myoa sucked in her breath, and stood up. With her foals inside of her, she couldn't fight off any attacker. She would have no choice but to flee.
Unsure of what to do, Myoa just stood there, motionless. She was curious to see who the stallion was, and why it felt like she knew him. At the same time, however, she didn't want to take any chances, in case the vioce belonged to one who meant harm. He sounded friendly, but....
Snowflakes falling irregularly caught Myoa's eye. That was strange, it was almost as if someone was shaking them off... A flash of realization hit Myoa, and in a second, a blurr of green was calling, "Cualtzin!!!"

He stopped again. This time something said his name. Ok, this was strange. His eyes popped open, humming stopped. He stood silent. What else was he suppose to do? He looked around, but still didn't see anything.
"Yes?" He answered. Perhaps it was the heavens above? But they never talked to him before? He looked up. He blinked. Nah, it wasn't them. Looking around again. "Who's there? And how do you know my name?" he said again.
Well, it must be a friend or something. Perhaps someone he ran into? He hardly knew any mares though. Mostly stallions. Perhaps it was a friend of Tally's? Yes... That would explain it.

Six feet to Cualtzin's left, Myoa was in confusion. What was he talking about? Could he not recognize her? Or could he not see her? "Cualtzin.....? It me...." Myoa whispered. "I know your name because you're my best friend. I'm your best friend. Don't you know who I am? Myoa?" Her voice quavered, her best friend not knowing who she was could not be a good thing.
She waddled closer to the dappled stallion. This was Cualtzin, right? Of course it was. There was no mistaking the spotted, grey coat, the flowers in his mane, and his aura of happiness. She was now standing directly in front of him. "Hello?" She asked.

Cualtzin at first, didn't know what to say. The voice sounded sad. Right when the voice said best friend, he felt stupid. "MYOA!" He said as she stepped infront of him. He didn't even notice her belly at all. "WOW! It's really you! Oh my!" He said with a huge grin on his face.
It have been forever! He stopped his front legs and flicked his tail. "How are you! It's been so long! Oh! Guess what! I'm a soon to be Daddy!" He couldn't help himself. He was too hyper. he hadn't seen her.
He still nad no notice of her belly. He was looking at her face, not the rest of her. Huge grin on there as always. God, he was glad it was her and not some strange random voice that would never show up. There were so many things to say, but she needed to say something first. It was rude of him to just splat things out at her like that.
"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to not reconize your voice. I've just been really paranoid something might happen to Tally" He said honestly.

Myoa nuzzled him fondly, laughing. "Calm down, Cualtzin! Have you been eating those two-legger cookies again?" She teased, sticking her tongue out at him. She flicked her tail and ears happily, something she oh so rarely did. Laughing more, she pranced around the stallion.
"Oh? Really? Congratulations to you and Tally then!" She cried, beaming broadly. "Does that mean I'm a Godmother?" She paused, before adding "...And a mother?" Myoa had had no idea how to break the news about her parenthood, so she just yanked it out into the open.
She grinned, eyes dancing, and voice high-pitched with glee. "I can't believe we're going to be parents together!" She smiled, saying, "Congratulations again!!!"
Myoa shook her head. "Don't be sorry, I didn't recognize your voice until I saw you." She nodded, "I'm sure she's okay, but it perfectly normal to worry. After, all, she is your mate."

He chuckled and then paused. Did she just say mother? He got a huge grin on his face as he finally noticed her belly. " Well, I guess that makes me a godfather, father." He laughed a little bit. "So who's the lucky stallion?" He forgotten who she was with. Well, at least his name. He remembered he was blind. "Is it the same one that you told me about, the blind one?" He asked, not realizing it sounded slightly rude.
"Indeed! Now I know my children will have others to play with." He said flicking his tail, trying to keep as calm as he could. It was quite hard for him. He wanted to stomp his feet more, but the snow gets slippery when packed. He fell to much already this winter.
"Congrats to you too. You'll be a grand mother!"

Myoa's cheeks tinted pink, but she knew Cualtzin meant jno harm. He was just that type of caring, truthful guy. "Ah, why yes, Degewi." She blushed crimson, mumbling, "We're lifemates now..."
She smiled. "Yes, I'm so looking forward to it! It's nice to know that my foals won't be lonely. Oh, and sometime, you'll have to meet Degewi. You'd like him." She tried to muffle giggles. Poor Cualtzin wasn't used to staying still for so long, and he apparently hadn't gotten used to the slippery snow. She smiled sympathetically at her friend. "I know of a spot where the snow is packed tighter than here, would you like to go there, so you can run around?"

Cualtzin smiled. "Yeah. Never remember his name. OH! Really, that's awesome." He said still trying to stay still. He looked like he was cold from the slight movements, but it wasn't at all that.
"Oh, I can't wait to meet him. No. It's fine. Unless you want to. I don't mind it here. I just have to learn to not get so excited" He said with an out burst of laugh. Like that would ever happen. He couldn't help it. Life was too grand to act like nothing was good at all.
"I don't need to run. I just don't feel like falling again" Another slight laught came from him. He hoped his foals wouldn't have that much of a problem with the snow as he did.

Myoa laughed. "Staying still is killing you, and why should you learn to calm down? It's quite pointless to change yourself, in fact, I wonder if it's even possible." She shrugged, then smiled up at Cualtzin. "Let's go, the snow is packed so tight that your won't fall if you want to romp around.
Myoa began slowly trotting east, slowly, waiting for Cualtzin. The snow was really slippery, although she hadn't noticed before, since she had been keeping still. She decreased her pace to a cautious walk, not daring to risk the chance of a fall.

Cualtzin tried to take a step but almost fell. Ok, this wasn't going to be easy... Quickly he took three steps. He didn't fall. He took three more. Still not falling. Wow, it was awesome. He started to walk normal again. Going a little faster to keep up with Myoa. "Be careful, now" He said.
He didn't want to have a hurt friend, and hurt god children. "We don't need you to fall either. I'll fall for the both of us!" He said with a slight chuckle. Indeed, he'd most likely fall again. He wasn't exactly careful. On of these days he was really going to hurt himself.

Myoa turned her head around, the best that she could. "How're you doing?" She asked, then smiling, "Yes, and the same for you." She took a few more dreadfully slow steps. It didn't help that it was snowing. Myoa grimaced as she shook snowflakes out of her mane. The wasn't too far away.....at least, it hadn't seemed so when the ground was snow-free.
Myoa shook her head stubbornly. "We don't need you to get hurt, either. Your foals will need you, just as my foals will need me." She laughed, adding, Besides, Tally will never forgive me if you're hurt because of me."
