Achlys yawned and stretched from her nest. The small cozy spot she shared with her adopted father Loki. He had long since disapeared before she woke and she often cursed her small body that needed so much energy through sleep. She fingered her paws and felt the warmth she called to them lick across the cool stones beyond her nest. She loved her paws. Once she was older, she'd force herself to be able to learn how to get fire to appear at the flick of her paw. It would happen. One day. For now, merely, abnormally warm.
Even though she was positive it was a scolding hot day out, the sublevels were always filled with a chill that never ceased to disapear. But the place were she was 'born' always managed to keep away the wetness and the usual chill that was so commonly found in the sublevels. The place she now called home. Since Loki learned of his way around, with her aid of course, he had been giving her more and more time to herself. She didn't mind. It just got horribly boring at times for she was too young to do much anything of her line of interest. The other babies, the other ones her age were either too kind of too stupid in her opinion to be worthy of her friendship.
Except for one. Her name was Viveca. It was the only name of the small children she cared to even bother remembering. The girl had a family, parents, brothers and sisters. And she seemed to hate them all almost as much she she did. Viveca was obviously a superior intelligence compared to the rest. She had been able to point out flaws, and stupidity on the parts of everyone around her almost aswell as Achlys.
She wondered if Viveca had found her way into the sublevels yet...

The walk along the dark corridors of the sublevels always brought a rare, sincere smile onto one child's face. This was Viveca, astranged daughter of Aion and Elu...although at times she wished that wasn't the case. As much as she knew her parents were the reason she was in existance...it didn't mean she had to like either of them, or her snot nosed siblings. Her father used to be something great, untill he realized the potential of his extended God, abandoning her for love of all stupid things. Her mother, although strong and brave, was sickenly happy and motherly...pitiful. Her siblings....she didn't even want to get started on those three.
She mad met a few in her somewhat short life, Amadeus....a noble dissilusioned adult, Gabriel....gullible. Then there was Achlys, an older child much like herself....if she hadn't known better she would have sworn she was looking at her personality's reflection. She was broody, cynical, and downright pessimistic. Viveca loved it. Erlier, the small brown Maluess had been down in the sublevels trying to locate her 'friend' when of all things her parents arrived to her dismay - along with some of the other dwellers of these darkened parts. Luckily, both were now preoccupied with one another to let her return to her quest. Opening her orbs, they began to scan her dark surroundings while keeping quiet; a small smirk caressing her lips. Oh how she would enjoy to see her angel of darkness once again.

Achlys stepped out of the room she was born in and into the darkened hall of the sublevels. She sniffed the air with a bit of distaste. It was wet, but the smell was familiar and gave her a sense of knowing she was home.
She smelled something else. She gave a half smirk of approval. Her assumption was correct. Viveca HAD found the sublevels. Achlys knew of Viveca's parents. Loki had Aion's shrine layout and surrounding area that he ventured through imprinted in his mind should he ever need it. Aion had lots of possibilities. For a while, Loki had been considering to see if Aion would join forces with them. But before anything could become of his idea Aion dropped everything for Viveca's mother.
Loki was displeased, Achlys couldn't care less beyond the fact it gave her an equal. Someone worthy of her friendship who wouldn't look at her and see a foolish a child. They were both too smart to think that. Being a baby had it's advantages. Things she had planned could be pulled off as accidents. Unless of course that Amadeus was around.... But she hadn't seen him since the day she came to the surface for the first time. But she knew he would be able to tell her 'accident' had actually been carefully planned.
She grabbed an ember from the fire in their little room and lit a nearby torch in the hallway. To give Viveca an idea of where she was. She had to admit she was eager to see the other bit of evil that so comfortably coincided with her own.

It had been a few weeks, luckily she was a little larger and stronger now to be able to wander away from the protection of her parents. Chuckling darkly, she was rather embarrased by the fact she couldn't even walk a straight line even though she could think far more intelligently than her siblings. Pathetic that she had shared the same womb with those imbeciles. Shaking her head, Viveca pressed on through the chilled darkness when an odd scent crossed her nose...one which smelt like fire.
Following the scent, one of the halls up ahead glimmered dimly in the light...possibly a sign from Achlys. Viveca wouldn't expect anything else from her sister of darkness. Strolling around the corner, her calculating orbs connected with her familliar flamed frame, her tail wagging ever so slightly as she sauntered over to her side.
"Achlys, it's a pleasure to see you again." Oh yes, had she mentioned her vocabulary was highly advanced now, listening to her parents and aunt talk so much....she had absorbed many new words and their meanings...although no one would be the wiser due to she never spoke when around anyone. Lifting her eyes up to the femmes before her a smirk slid over her lipes, head cocking to the side as her locks slipped over her left orb.

Achlys smiled as she smelled Viveca approach and waited for the girl to sit next to her before responding.
"Indeed, I am pleased to see you aswell." She smirked and headed back into the main room finding no reason to be in the halls lest she wanted to send out an invitation to Relic. She felt no need at the time.
As of the moment, Loki's hoarde of toys and trinkets were shoved to one side of the room. Endless things to shift through, each mysterious in it's own way. There was another passage that had been carved from her birthplace. She had to say she wasn't pleased with it's presence but Loki was firm and demanded it be where it was. What was down there, she felt wasn't worth saying beyond the slightly more foul smell coming from it's depths.
"Was it just me, or have I heard you down these passages before a little while ago?" She had heard, and she knew it was Viveca too. Loki had all the information, she recalled his chuckling at Relic's frustration in not getting his way. Loki remedied the dark malu's frustration, if temporarily, for a time. It never hurt to have the leader of a mean pack owe you a favor or two.

Allowing her orbs to linger along the darkened shadows of the sublevels, her sense of scent could easily pick up the mixture of fresh and rotting corpses hidden where no one would notice immediately. She had heard of her father's shrine was located down here from when he had been something...it was her only reason for coming down to this place; untill she knew that Achlys also resided down here. The youth had figured that it was well time to stray from her mother and siblings to venture here, now that she did not crave her mother's milk anymore from the fruit.
Slowly rising from her haunches, she sauntered after Achlys with a silent demeanor. Observing the other femme, she marvelled at her dark flame licked pelt...the colours like staring into the smouldering fire. It was beauiful, to say the least. Adjusting her gaze she she adressed her, Viveca huffled slightly - a trait she aquired from her father. "You are correct. I came down here to find the remnants of my Father's shrine, to see what he used to be. I must have taken a wrong turn, when I met up with a tribe of Malu...its leader by the name of Relic. My parents then found my whereabouts, and now I do not know where they are. Probably still running from the pack." Viveca shrugged her petite shoulders, her eyes much more interested in this new room they were in as her ever calculating gaze absorbed the information.

Achlys climbed up the small intricately hidden stairs behind the alter, so that she was so standing ontop of it. She layed down, leaving just enough space for Viveca to come up should she please, but making it look like she never ment to.
"Yes I know Relic. Stupid fool doesn't know what he's doing half the time. He's got a mean tooth, but that's about it." She smirked once more stretched her neck cracking a few bones on the way.
"And if you wanted to know where your father's shrine was, you could have just asked. I know this place like the back of my paw." She flicked her wrist almost half-heartedly.

Following her newly aquired accomplice in a ways, the young femme made her way up the stairs and back once again at Achlys' side. Without restraint or second thought, Viveca lay down in a way which curled and cuddled right against the flame maluess; enjoying the warmth. It was strange, that one which she had only seen twice now was the one whom she had felt she'd become the most attached to.
"That is impressive, Achlys. I was wanting to visit it, to see the man who lays dormant in his black soul...yet pehaps in a while. Unlike last time, I did not have the time to ask you...to tell me more about just whom you are." Her multi hued eyes trailed over to her own, a spark of curiosity within those orbs.
