Nyoka settles into the HQ, a book opened in her lap. She isn't expecting to see anyone, and she isn't sure she would be good company. But, whatever. The traffic through here is not what it used to be, after all. . . .
So, she sighs, and starts to read from where she left off, immediately getting pulled into the fantasy world that is being spelled out to her.

((After RP with Taima.))
Arakel wondered, for what seemed the fiftieth time, just why he was returning to the HQ. His last trip to the Fa'e Headquarters hadn't been the most favorable trip, what with his encounter with another Fa'e, Taima. He hoped, quite strongly, that this time, the HQ would be void of any malicious forms of life, particularly those with the habit of making Arakel exceedingly uncomfortable.
Opening the door the slightest bit, Arakel peeked in, preparing himself to duck back out at the slightest sign of black hair and tan skin. However, what Arakel saw surprised him. He did see black hair, but the skin was...green, an oddly familiar shade of green. Opening the door wider, Arakel took one single step into the HQ. "Nyoka?"

So engrossed is she in the book, that Nyoka actually jumps at the utterance of her name.
She spins around to look over the back of the couch. When she sees who it is, she offers a small smile. "Hello, Arakel . . . what brings you here?" she asks, not looking down as she marks her page once more, and closes the book.

Offering Nyoka a small smile, Arakel stepped the remainder of the way into the HQ, closing the door softly behind him. "Just visiting, I guess." Tail snapping anxiously behind him, Arakel couldn't help but optically search the HQ, trying to figure out if there was anyone else about. After a moment of this search, he decided that Taima was, indeed, not around. Nor anyone else.
Relaxing, Arakel returned his gaze to Nyoka. "And what are you doing here? Well, reading, I can see."

"I just wanted to get out," Nyoka says, tossing the book on top of her pack, which is resting on the floor. "My flat is lonely, I suppose, and can be stuffy," she shrugs, and moves over on the couch.
"I won't bite you if you sit, you know?" she says, smiling wider.
She then taps her chin a moment, regarding Arakel with studying eyes. "Just out of curiousity, who were you looking for?"
