Well, after searching through the forums for our old fanart thread, it's come to my attention that it's either disappeared, or taken ninja classes from Yuffie and hidden itself away from my sight. Regardless, here's a new fanart thread to post whatever kinds of fanart you want, but do read the rules first...

1.) Must follow Gaia T.O.S., meaning a maximum of PG-13. Pairing pictures are fine, but do make sure that this pairing picture is not something you would show to a middle school or elementary school student with their parent around.

2.) Must follow the Guild Rules, which are listed in their own sticky. Thus, staying on topic while in this thread is a must (so no X or X-2 fanart, or whatever, it must be Final Fantasy VII-centric).

3.) The fanart that you post MUST be YOUR OWN CREATION. There are plenty of other places where you can upload artwork not made by yourself. This thread is NOT one of them. If I (or any of the mods) find out that you are posing as an artist or stealing artwork, not only will your post be deleted, but you will be reported to the Gaia Mods and banned (since stealing artwork is also against the T.O.S.). Plagiarism is not looked upon likely here.

4.) If you comment on a picture, constructive criticism is welcome, but do not tell an artist that their picture is crap. Such comments will be deleted, and will also warrant a warning to the person in question. There is a nice, thick line between saying you dislike the picture, and saying it is all out garbage and should burn in a bonfire.

5.) Play nicely, and above all else, have fun. ;D The Final Fantasy VII Fandom has been going strong for almost ten years now, so celebrate that with a new fanart or two! Express yourself, and let others see how you view the Final Fantasy VII world.

Basically, those are the rules, which are essentially very simple and easy to follow. Just have fun, and if you have any questions, feel free to PM me or another active moderator about it. ;D

EDIT: Also, from time to time, we'll also hold fanart contests in here, but as of now, there isn't one. That doesn't mean there won't be one, though, so check back every now and then to see. If there's a new contest, the heading for the thread will usually state so, and such contests tend to follow a theme. razz Prizes will usually be in gold, but sometimes in picture exchanges, or something else. biggrin

HIYA! I drew the most awesome picture of me as a FF character!! It looks nothing like me but it looks like it came straight from the game!!! Which is awesome b/c it was my own creation! I just need to color it and I'll post it here as soon as I can!!! 4laugh

Would it be the lovely picture in your signature? It's quite nice. xd However, please make sure that when you post an image, that you put it in the actual post, not just in your siggie, since Gaia doesn't always show a person's signature when they want them to. It also makes it easier to archive. razz

On another note, what do you all think about having a Winter Fanart Contest? Sound like fun?

Heres my final fantasy character I made for the game buuuuut... I think I shoulda done better with his face. LOL

I love the chains and the swords ... buut.. I messed up on the samurai sword cause I didn't make the handle long enough.. sooo nooow its too late.. go figure. but yes I made this.. I'm surprised I was even able to upload this any way... but this is my first time unvailing my artwork so as the last person please go easy on me.

((also I got to lazy to shade.))
