I guess it all starts with giving in
And after you've fought long enough
It turns into giving up
I gave into what I hated the most
And I let it become a part of me
As time passed I began to see
That what I was addicted to wasn't good for me
Then I fought a losing battle
I had a thought fixed in my mind
That this infection has become part of my life
And everytime I thought about that
My defenses seem to deplete
Slowly I began to give up
Now that I was losing the battle
I now it was my own fault I let this happen
But I can't help but wonder
Do I really want to win?
Or am I happy living with this sin?
I guess it all starts with giving in
And after you've fought long enough
It turns into giving up
