ok ..heres the idea.. i want to get a freeform roleplay going, no dm , no rolling.. just write up a character sheet (probably 45 points) or a level 7 if you prefer to build on d20..to give you a reference for your character.
keep in mind this game is more about the roleplay than the "roll-play"
to help everybody get aquainted with each other's playing style and to generaly have fun
i'm going to let poeple make suggestions on setting and genre..
so...Post ideas for now..we'll get to the characters later razz

AlexBloodRose Okay, so this is just an thing to get people into knowing what we're into. Ok. So are we as a site doing one roleplay at a time or different ones. well logically ..considering our numbers it would be easier to do one at a time as we get more members and more people who know the mechanics of the game a little better we can get multiple games running..but to be quite honest i was planning on personally not starting any roll/Gm games until i get my hands on the third edition.. i mean no offense tot he other systems but ive been in anticipation for third edition since it was announced back in 04 :p in the meantime i was going to try to just organize a few short games to get myself back into a roleplay state of mind sicne its beena long time since i had a decent game. also i wanted to try to build our databases with a pile of settings and charcters and such so that we can have them for quick reference smile

well I have a character sheet it may not be as high as the number 45, but I have to check. I'll post it anyways for fun.

Well this sucks. I seem to lost alot of the old papers I had on my rp characters. I only have two left and parts of them are incomplete so I have to unfortunately revamp them. I am sorry guys for all the trouble I'll post one in a few hours if not l will do it the next time I am on.

i want to try to come up witha quick easy game with no rolls and no dm..kinda like roleplaying withouts sytem..except i will have you write up characters so you have a reference for your characters abilities..it helps avoid god-modding
feel free to sugest anything
i would personly like to cast my vote for a steampunk/magic genre
ei. trains..steam engined objects galor.but also touches of magic
leaving the genre open for a little fun without going hi-tech..and without dropping into the all to overdone fantasy..plus everybody gets to be human...keeps it simple

How about a frontier/"wild west" style town for the local along with steam/magic elements. Oddly advanced enough to allow for giant mecha, pet monsters, swords that got chucked at you by watery tots, and so on without having to actually try and explain it.
You can give this kind of excuse "I'm/its from the City/Wilderness," for odd-things. With a default response of "...okay." You can also get way with using a katana in a gun fight, "clearly she learned from Those guys overseas." If it doesn't make a lick of since it's "not from around here." wink

lol sounds liek an excuse for an extrememly multigenre campain with our group beign a huge pile of weirdos in a one horse/train town :p

Well you wanted to get a sense of peoples style. Also placing the exploitation on an elsewhere means we don't have to worry about about it in the short term as we get going.
Anyways I've got the character concept and the post will go to the Cryo once it's done. A little magical, some clockwork, and lots of steam.
