My friend asked why the uniforms in FMA were blue if they're army. Army, in reality, is green. (Duh.) Air force is blue.
See, there's a hidden meanig (I came up with it) behind it. The army and marines sleep in tents. Navy sleeps on the boats. Guess where air force sleeps? Hotels paid by the miltary. See, the philosophy is: Give quality and receive quality back. (Or something like that.) So there!

they wear blue because in thier world that the millitary color. in amestris they dont have air force, navy, marines, stuff like that. they only have the "military" wich is equivalent to our worlds army. but since they only have one group (i guess you could call it that) they can be whatever color they want.

I like the blue....The military could have the regimentals the british army had back in the day. You know w/ the try cornered hat and red coat...

Strangely, I thought I remembered reading somewhere that they were blue for a reason, but now I can't recall...
Anyway, if you forgot, the military police doesn't wear blue, but black. xD
Even so, the idea of Mustang in camo is... yea... too much for my feeble imagination.

I think that the reason why it's blue and not something like cameo is because there military style has no need for stealth. I mean if you think of our history, they didn't wear cameo during the civil war, because their fighting style wasn't based on ambushing the enemy.

Well, yeah, but I'm just saying. I mean, Arakawa needed to base the uniforms off of something. I was just pointing it out because it's ironic since one of the main themes of FMA is exchange and equivalance.
